  1. FEAR if far from ideal. As for doubles, use a Slaking side-by-side with a scarfed Skill Swap pokemon. Another one I have seen is a Whimsicott with 0IV, -EV (in Atk) that uses Beat-up on a fellow Terrakion to boost it to +6 in one turn.
  2. We're moving even further into RU as we go Yes, we can switch her to special and Amoonguss to physical (or mixed), but cannot rely on Scald burns all the time. Alakazam does not need Dazzling Gleam to be threatening, as any set will have Focus Blast for Dark and Steel types. Your 4th slot should be Encore to mess with Stallers and turn any sweeper into a choiced, less-powered version of themselves. Oh, and Life Orb does not take the 10% damage when you have Magic Guard, so if you don't want the double Bounce strategy with Espeon (which ultimately leads to not using Ferrothorn and having a slot empty for a 3rd win-con), be my guest and abuse Zam to your heart's content.
  3. You do know Flareon got some good moves in Gen6, don't you?
  4. The above discussion belongs to a PM. These are not extreme ideas, but they add cheap difficulty. For people like me who grind their pokemon till they faint and another gets their turn, this is a pointless way to increase difficulty. The item limitation is seen in Gen1. It was merely frustrating. An item Embargo while facing bosses might be more beneficial as it resembles real battling more. We didn't have soft-reset in cartrige games, so we closed the console and re-opened it. This way, it's the same. Close the program, and reopen. It's just tedious. Might as well save before you switch between boxes, and have TMs be used only once.
  5. Best change for Vaporeon is Physical Almomola. It can pass bigger wishes and toxic stall certain mons that are threatening to your team. The rest of the changes are also mentioned. Use Forretress instead of M-Aerodactyl, which works as a slow volt switch too. Defensive Rotom-H is best rotom. I would change it for Amoonguss and form a regen-core with Alomomola Change Crawdaunt for M-Absol and use a mixed set with Fire Blast, provided you make the change above. This way you can keep Espeon with Specs OR a CM set with Psyshock / Dazzling Gleam / Substitute Have we kept anything? Oh yes, Mamoswine. Yeah, that's good. Keep it. Priority is always welcome. Since Mamo has Superpower, Absol can afford a SD.
  6. Iron Barbs doesn't really fit with any type other than Steel, unless your design manages to include it somehow without crossing the borders to the safer option in Rough Skin. I'm naming mine "Not Ferrothorn", and if I remember correctly, Tomas has expressed his distaste for the grass mine, as the typing is exclusive to it. I came here thanks to shameless advertising from Red_Chaos. Give her prim. Also, when it's beta period, I'll be happy to help.
  7. It was a good move on their part to divide them so some types don't seem to lack pokemon, but the Ground video took place in the desert and included the cave of origin, which has a deep connection to eerie and mystical and afterlife elements. Thematically both the Land-Shark and Ancient-Guardian pokemon could fit. Ghost was as creepy as it should. Banette was spot on, and spent more time visualising the pokedex entries, things that few people read.
  8. Rock and Steel have potential to make a good video. Especially Steel, since it currently is the most diverse typing. I have to agree that Electric was so full of Pikaclones it didn't do justice to the type. A game franchise definitely doesn't want to make one of the most devastating offensive types only link to the mascots. Ground was a fun ride, but I was expecting Golurk and Garchomp to appear at some point like guardians to Groudon's cave.
  9. A man can understand and appreciate a concept. A man can also see better designs for the same concepts. A man is not pleased. A man has given the monkeys a second chance. There won't be a third.
  10. I saw them the first time while playing a fan-game and actually believed they were fakemon, due to how unoriginal and similar they are to each other. I was depressed when I found out they were canon, because it was my returning to pokemon after Gen3 and you can imagine how disappointed I was to see the designs were becoming so bad. I believe you have received your answer. Please change the poll to include the option "None of the above".
  11. I give up. I no longer wish to be a king. I will spend the rest of my life in peace, and live only with the absolutely necessary. I will move to an island and live as a fisherman. From now on, you may call me Stannis Barracuda.

In the books the following characters are still alive:

Stannis Baratheon, Barristan Selmy, Doran Martell, Areo Hotah.

  12. That's a very specific audience to make a whole game for. It strikes more as an attempt to create something so bad and constantly defying logic that, for the years to come, would not be surpassed by another fangame in this aspect. No goal, no story, no logic -- Pokemon Snakewood. Also, where the f*ck is your brother and is he still relevant to the story? Why did the D7 suddenly rip-off Ra's al Ghul and pull off a "We're Legion" out of nowhere? Does Batman himself make a cameo? Is May a Zombie, Chef, Dragon, Inquisition member, D7(member 991), a Pokemon or just chilling at a beach? I'm waiting for a certain Desert and a specific Volcano.
  13. I want a Fire type Gym Leader that's CEO or a major company in the region, just so he can make puns (aka boss jokes) and the player is supposed to laugh at them if they want a chance at the title. Also, when the player loses, he says "You're Fired".

  14. Aerodactyl should be able to learn Drill Peck and Brave Bird. It's a fearsome mega that has to rely on Aerial Ace, which is disturbing.
  15. This moment I believe GF and Nintendo will only consider taboos pokemon that are a direct reminder to Japan's black spots in history like the destruction of the samurai regime and the atomic bombs. As such, it will be hard to create a Poison/Steel pokemon based on radiation. They are not above creating species closely related to diseases, otherwise no Poison pokemon would exist. Absol is supposed to be linked to natural disasters and its mega forme is an angel of death. If Raticate would get a mega (and mind you, I'm rooting for one) it would 99% receive the Dark subtype, hinting towards evil sewer rats that carry half my microbiology book on them. Anyone who still doesn't agree is free to join my party. My Pikablu has caught PokeRus recently and is not feeling so well.
  16. Requests are becoming too specific. I dare say a change of sprites in the shiny version of Miltank could relieve such issues.
  17. I will make an evolution for almost every single forgotten pokemon that I can think a general theme for. I'll leave Qwilfish to you. Ledian --> Ledinger Type: Bug / Flying Ability: Swarm , Quick Feet /// Iron Fist HP: 60 Atk: 90 Def: 63 SpA: 58 SpD: 129 Spe: 100 BST: 500 Ok Ledian is another pokemon with no purpose in life, except for filling the pokedex entries. Now it received an evolution that makes it justice and allows it to be a formiddable force in higher tiers like RU and UU. Yes I dare say UU, because these stats, combined with Ledian's punching and support movepool allow for two basic different sets. One is the classic Iron Fist set that makes use of Ledinger's many punching moves (that before only had 35 base Atk to use). Now it can recover damage with Drain Punch and go all out or hide behind a Substitute and avoid nasty status. The other set is the SD-Quick Feet-Toxic orb set, which utilizes the speed boost thanks to the item to sweep mid to late game. Ledinger's nice base Atk stat helps clean weakened opponents and its already very high 129 base SpD stat gives the pokemon opportunities to set-up. At +2 it can prove bothersome for even the bulkiest of teams. So make sure you have your rocks up, as Ledinger remains X4 weak to them.
  18. Ariados --> Arachdon Type: Bug / Poison Ability: Swarm , Super Luck /// Sniper HP: 88 Atk: 122 Def: 84 SpA: 60 SpD: 84 Spe: 57 BST: 495 Remember how pitiful Ariados used to be? It had 390 BST and its use was mitigated by the lack of speed. One day it climbed a mirror, took a good look at his face, saw how bad the situation was and went straight to the gym. When he saw the gym wasn't working he came to us with tears in his eyes, wanting to become a don in the mafia world. We accepted the challenge and did all within our power in order to create the king of spiders, a mafia boss that dominates the wet caves in which it has its base of operations. Arachdon, or "Father" as he likes to be called now, increased both in size and power. It has enough bulk to survive a plethora of hits and sheer power to retaliate with powerful STAB moves. You can either decide to work with Super Luck or Sniper, as our Father takes pride in its luck and what it can do with it. Remember that without luck you cannot make a name of yourself in the underground (pun totally intended).
  19. XY gave us almost everything and then gave us a sub-par game to play. I hope S&M does not do the same. In my opinion they revealed the games just right, and since they don't reveal anything about them, they could make promo videos with landscapes and the shadows of the starters, without revealing too much. I'd rather they went all the way back to Gen1 in which we didn't know anything about the region before we played it. Of course, multiple improvements like the ones mentioned ~10 pages before are welcome, and some (like the IV/EV checker) are needed.
  20. The second one is easier since you don't have to come back. The first one is just tedius, because you have to learn with trial and error. I remember the Deadly Seven and was surprized to see they were actually 10, but like everyone else I didn't care. At. ALL. This game refuses to take itself seriously, and the writer(s) knew how bad it was getting, so they decided to further elaborate on the nonesense. I think I quit playing it about... 3 episodes from now (since measuring it in progress made is not applicable given how much time is needed for so little).
  21. Armaldo is an ancient shrimp/bug Native American with claws. The closest we have to an armadilo is Sandshrew, then Sandslash went a somewhat different direction, even though in the same genus (Pangolin is close to Armadilos and equally cute). Psyduck is a platypus pokemon, but I would enjoy a non-aquatic one, since they reproduce in a somewhat unique way. My list includes: A Cloud pokemon (pure Flying type) that evolves into different formes based on the Stone it's exposed to (examples include Thundercloud, Snowcloud, Raincloud) A Rocky Bug that resembles a beetle but takes elements from soldier bug/ant (armored beetle) variants A Lemur pokemon with probable psychic powers (like... King Julian) - preferably a Bamboo Lemur with early access to it. An Electric Panda (Fighting / Electric) A Llama/Alpaca evolutionary line that is either pure Poison or pure Fire type A Mosquito Water / Bug pokemon A Mockingbird that's Normal / Flying but has access to a vast special movepool and a high enough SpA and SpD stat A Narwal (Steel / Water) that's not a starter pokemon and very hard to raise. A Comodo Dragon that is a bulky and somewhat fast Ground type A fighting Sawfish with an armor (not a Steel type) A Bison that's Ground / Fighting An early African wild dog (Normal / Dark or Normal / Rock or Dark / Rock) A fast Fire / Steel Sabertooth Tiger
  22. The following triagle works with Fairy not being OP Fire / Steel Water / Fighting Grass / Fairy What I would like to see is a triangle that will make every single poke-fan burst with joy once they discover it, no matter which one they choose. Fire / Fairy Water / Poison Grass / Dragon Stepping into the Champion discussion, I have not played any pokemon campaign since RSE, but would do so now, if they convince me it's worth it. btw if someone can give me instructions how to play gen4,5,6 on pc, please send me a pm with the how-to A champion is simply the strongest trainer in the region. Such logic is flawed now, especially with the wide array of pokemon we can use. A change in the norm having multiple champions or an actual championship that resembles the usual knock-out tournaments in anime would be appreciated. The E4 cannot be missing, but I'd rather see them stronger and with better teams that do not use pokemon only found in the region, because that makes them incredibly weak compared to what the potential of their types can be. Also, an item Embargo when facing them would be appreciated. It just needs to be active while the battle is running, to resemble more online competitive battles. That and an old man in pink clothes.
