Shame, shame go away,
Come again some other day.
Memories keep haunting me.
Help me chase them all away.
Hush, now settle down,
Button up, don't make a sound.
Close your eyes, turn around.
Help me burn this to the ground.
Come now, take the blame, that's okay, I'll play the game.
I don't care, it's all the same, watch it all go up in flames.
Use me up, spit me out,
Let me be your hand-me-down.
Fame, fame, go away, come again some other day. -
you know, when looking at ZEXAL, somehow my second favorite female YGO character comes from there. Cathy. She has more personality than some lead females in the past had (barring Aki, ofcourse)

I mean, in arc-v there was Serena, she was a pretty good female. and Aki simply suffered from too little screentime, as you mentioned. Kotori... just no. Tea was pretty fun as a cheerleader character. and may be one of the only character who never lost and dueled at least 3 times (being at the bare minumum, ofcourse, but still she never lost, and she's not even a true duelist) and Alexis... kinda the same as Aki, but a more severe case, and a little too much hyping up to being the "queen of obelisk blue".
Let's just hope that Blue Angel becomes at least decent a little later

when you wanna finish zexal but the anime streaming site just wants to give you the finger -.-

I just found this on google. if nothing else it's a nice attempt to rip of Stardust?

I wonder... who would win in a Duel between Jack atlas and Kaito Tenjo? not the arc-v ones (tho that would also be a nerdgasm and fangasm for me) I'm maily looking at the 5ds and zexal guys. how I can see it happening: Kaito will start of strong, taking the first turn. getting has Galaxy eyes out almost instantly. Jack in his second turn bring out Red Demon's, creating a power house battle of the aces!

Actually it is XYZ > synchro. Synchros require tuners which means half the deck is incompatible with itself (exageration but you get the idea). On top of that xyz mnsters tend in general have the more powerful effects which are compensated by the lack of materials. The "once per turn" clause mean that the reliance on a material isn't even the limitting factor. That being said there are good synchro monsters (crystal wing, psyframe lord, omega , ... ) but summoning them out is not as easy.

true, XYZ's and Synchro's in that wat are kinda on par there, synchro's being harder to get out but having permanent effects VS XYZ which are easier to summon and have powerful, yet limited use effects. we forget, however, that Kaito in the ZEXAL anime doesn't use as many XYZ as Jack has Synchro summons under his belt, him main;y trying to block them.

alright... so my imagination has gone ham over the years since I started playing YGO via my DS. to the point where it created a duelist family starting from Nightmare Troubadour and ending at over the nexus... granted the stories of these games are a little altered to make sure it makes sence.

Alright, so here's the story behind it:
During the battle city arc, a guy names Wolfox from Europe meets Yugi and the gang. After a friendly duel with Athem, he's allowed to join said gang. His deck revolves around Silent Magician, to mirror Yugi's Dark magician. During an assault of the Rare Hunters on a house close to his own. This is where he meets his future wive. despite losing to kaiba on the blimp, he has shown skill enough to rival the god cards without having one himself. later married, he adopts a son called Dallin with his wife, said son goes to Duel Academia and the story of Spirit caller happents with him. His deck resolves around the Silent Swordsman, mirroring his fathers Silent Magician. eventually he finds himself joining the rest in the Spirit World, finding himself helping a gang of Hero's who sadly get beaten. their spirits join into his deck, changing it into his Lightsworn deck. with this he was one of the only people who was able to face darkness(outside of jaden). here it splits: into Zexal and 5d's
the 5d's version is the sister of dallin, though not addopted. She wields a psychic deck and used to be part of the enforcers(like the second 5ds game). she escaped from the arcadia movement and foundherself in Satelite again, with lost memories. having a changed apearence, Yusei doesn;t recognize her untill later in the facility (stardust). after this it all goes through the rest of the stories, following her (he name is Nia).
the zexal version is a long descendant of the Nightmare Troubadour guy we started with. this guy (Nivé) wields a Fire Fist deck, including the two syncrho monsters, due to him making a guy not often trusted by most, due to him using a summon unknown to most others.
Now we reach arc-V, where a reincarnation of Wolfox lives in Syncrho, oficially one of the tops, he disagree's with how things are done with the tops and commons situation, thus living as one of the commons. His parrents disowned him for this. he wields a Six Samurai deck. He get's send to the XYZ's dimention, after he loses his sister, where he meets the XYZ counterpart of his sister, who just lost her brother. feeling for eachother, they decide to team up against academia. they eventually ended up in Standart and join Yuya's duel school. his new sister (Juula) wields a Noble Knights deck )both being able to use XYZ's and Synchro, showing how they learned from eachother and trust eachothers methots).
So yeah, that's my imagination

I think I have a theory about why genwunners see gen 5 as taboo (which is BS IMO, since the gen is great). it is the only generation to introduce MORE pokeman than gen one.
So remember kids, gen 5 may be hated among genwunners, those "fans" tend to be wrong at all times

Personally, the Gen 5 games have become my favorite mainstream games, especially in terms of characters and story. B/W were the games that closest resembled my experience as a kid, starting Red with little to no clue what the game was about (I had seen one older kid playing it and thought it looked fun). B2/W2 hold the 'best sequel' status for me for much the same reason, since they showed just how much region changed (but still stayed the same) in 2 years.
