I went with the boring route and switched between Gyarados and Growlithe to get three Intimidates off, then went into Cofagrigus and used Will-O-Wisp. After that, I Cursed it and easily won from there.

Yep, exactly. You've gotta get punished for your mistakes, in order to properly learn from them. Although it's not like the level cap even matters that much - as Tristen from TheGamersTree has demonstrated, you can still bring a disobedient overleveled Pokémon to a boss battle and still clean house with it.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask. How complete of a replica is the save file that you made for him? Does it just have his items and Pokémon with their respective natures and movesets, or did you also manage to recreate some of the nitty-gritty details, like EVs and/or IVs? (I dunno how the latter would even be possible, since not even his entire recorded playthrough has all of that information.)

Oh no! You have to resort to a strategy other than using overleveled Pokémon, what a nightmare! You've never had an issue with your Pokémon being overtrained in any other games because all those other games aren't like Pokémon Reborn. The entire point of the level cap is to cause you trouble. While we're on the subject, I want to address something that has been bugging me for a while. Common Candies make the game a lot easier than it should be. If one of your Pokémon exceeds the level cap, all you have to do is spend $300 and the problem goes away. If you overlevel a Pokémon, you should either box it or drop some serious cash to buy back its obedience. I think it would make playthroughs a lot more interesting, at the very least. If something becomes too high-leveled, you could box it and replace it on your team with something else until you raise your level cap. Forcing players to adapt and innovate is something that Pokémon Reborn strives to do, and I think the scarcity of Common Candies would complement that well.

Rock Head is super useful if you plan to use Double-Edge and/or Head Smash on your Aggron. Sturdy is another really useful ability, especially if you want to run Metal Burst. Heavy Metal is the least useful of Aggron's abilities, in my opinion, It strengthens Heavy Slam, but that's about it.

Oh man, I am SEVERELY looking forward to playing this episode. Once I finish Alpha Sapphire, I'm jumping straight over to Reborn. I only wish that the official games were nearly as challenging as this one. They would be so much more enjoyable.

I've always been a fan of Vero. He seems like the dark anti-hero type, and my initial reaction to his character design was, "Yeah, he looks like the kind of guy who's grown accustomed to the messed-up world of Reborn." On a side note, I really like Alice and Lucia too, because hubba hubba. ;D
