Member Appreciation Thread: 2015 Edition
Zephyrus the Priestess replied to Ojama Yellow's topic in General Discussion
"you truly are my mother" the presequel that and although I highly approve of threads like this, I feel like doing something more intimate, like sending messages of appreciation privately instead. anyway the things I want to say are going to take a frikton of spoiler tags and I have class in an hour, more or less, so I can't post it all here now so, I'm going to follow Mother Dobby's lead too, and say this: Reborn is one of the biggest reasons why I'm glad that my second relationship happened, even if it was a very shitty one. If I hadn't been pushed to look for a way to battle online, I would have probably not further investigated this fangame I read about in TvTropes. So, I want to thank Ame and all the devs and folks who contributed to the making of this game, getting word out and such. If I hadn't learned about the game, I probably wouldn't have found my way into the community either. I'm either lucky or blessed or both to have met you guys and found a family to come home to whenever I'm online. In turn, I'd like to thank all the auths and members, Ace or no Ace, for such a great time. special shoutout to all the children of blue \o/. And, totally not copying Vinny of course, you, whomever you are, whether you're a guest or a member or Google or Yahoo or Bing. Just by being here, you're helping keep this place alive (I think, anyway). Plus you're a pretty swell person for sure. :] you keep on doing your thing, bruv. tl;dr: ily Reborn. y'all keep being insane and awesome <3 uh I'm all out of words and time so take this with you instead dear reader -
vinny we can totally use the same avy if you want or if not I could use an inverted version or something lol

As much as Gunther didn't want to admit it, she was actually a bit uncertain of herself. And unnerved. With a steely focused demeanor, however, she swallowed down her sudden unease and took aim at the ball. This time she managed to nail the ball and send it back to Ringo.

Happy Birthday to the God of Bibarels and Pineapples!

U WAN BERTDEI U GOT IT *drumroll* To the toughest Bidoof in existence: HABERHABERBERDAY TO YOUUUUU <3 -
Raising both hands above her head, Gunther bounced the ball back. ... Or so she thought. It seemed that she'd miscalculated and positioned her hands a little too low, letting the volleyball sail overhead. Where's the ball-- aw, дерьмо́! Realization came to her and she cursed to herself. Turning around, she saw the ball just bouncing to a stop as though it were mocking her. "... Lucky shot," she said coolly, pretending to be unaffected from losing the first point. Rolling the ball back to Ringo, though, she tried to psych herself up for the next round. But if she were to be honest, she was really better at something like kicking and punching a person rather than something small like a beach ball.

"Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Let's wrap it up here so we can change venues." Although there was the option of splitting up to cover more ground so that one team could search thoroughly here and another at Ironhand's, Bryth figured that it was best for the whole group to stick together in case somebody tried something dirty like attacking them.

[6.7.15] How do you like to go about solving a conflict with someone? I try to talk things out, given that I'm calm even with the fact that I'm actually in a conflict with somebody.

You can contact one of our local heroes/Mods (e.g. Solace, TacosAndFlowers, Kyoyoyoyoyoyo, etc.) to fix this before Sheep sees it. Having the appetite to try new things is an advantage and a great thing to have redundancy is also a great thing. Being blue is also an advantage and great thing, so give it a shoWOLOLO welcome to Reborn newchild of Blue \o/

Picking it up, Gunther managed to look nonchalant as she dribbled the ball a while. "Game." With a quick upward movement, she tossed the ball up casually. And with legs seemingly like high-power pistons, she leapt up high into the air and slammed the ball Ringo's way with one hand, sharply and powerfully.

Gun MK 3.14-- Gunther stiffened. One could almost see the word "Gun" piling on top of the girl's shoulders and hear a KA-THUNK as an also concrete "Gun MK 3.14" followed, nearly throwing the pile of stone and idol off balance. "Where are you getting all these nicknames-- never mind," she said, cutting herself short. "You said that you play volleyball, da? We ought to find the court and see who's best at it." Gunther regained her composure, crossing her arms coolly as though she weren't fazed by the new nickname.

What. Why was she even-- what. But before Gunther could lean backward, Ringo pulled away. слава богу, or else I might've bashed her face in, she thought, rolling her eyes while Ringo turned away. "Running is too easy. It's something I've been doing for as long as I can remember. Before you get into the meat of Taekwondo, you have to jog a few rounds before warm-ups and conditioning," she explained. "Truthfully, I was hoping we could do something more strenuous... And challenging. Da?"

She shrugged. "Just cold. I don't remember much about Russia other than it being cold; haven't been there since I was a kid." And when Ringo hastened towards the finish, Gunther ducked her head and pressed on faster, too. "No challenge!" she breathed, though it was half a challenge in itself, and half a complaint. Running wouldn't really make her break a sweat, not really. It was one of the easiest sports in her opinion. "We should do something else after," she added as she passed by Ringo again, overtaking her.

Only one thing came to mind. "Cold," she said immediately, on impulse. Truthfully, she hadn't really gone to Russia enough to know what it was like there. When they did visit, it was back when she was a little girl. Consequently, she didn't really have much memories of her home country other than it being cold... which was, she was painfully aware, extremely vague.
