  7. Funny enough, I almost picked accounting for my commerce major, but I changed my mind at the last minute. Finance4Lyf~ And cakes. Yours. I'll try to remember. Maybe Over here, our first year is definitely a bit of a handful because of all the different engineering types we had to 'sample', but on the upside it doesn't weigh as heavily on our grades. From then on it gets a bit tougher. Not because it's particularly hard, but because it moves quickly and there's a lot of content. Still, it can be a load of fun. The labs in particular I enjoy because those are hands-on and usually require teamwork. If you can keep up (and not slack off in the fifth week like I did...), then you'll definitely manage. Best of luck anyhow!
  8. Even better, a fellow electrical engineer! Although I must say I prefer working with electronics than I do with programming, but of course one should try and master both at the same time. I had to do a civil/structures unit in my first year as well, along with introductory chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. Supposedly it was to give us a 'feel' for a wide range of engineering fields, but was less helpful if you already knew which one you wanted to do beforehand. And I'm not sure how it works on your end, but once you cross the starting line at second year it really picks up (as it should, I guess). Just a fair warning
  9. Thanks for the welcome you guys, much appreciated! Most forums I've been to only have a thread for welcomes, and some don't bother with them at all. I'll try make the most of my time here, for what that's worth Always good to see another engineer around! I'm doing Electrical. So far that's mostly been doofing around with programming and math, but it wasn't until this year that we started looked at circuits and electronics. It's definitely been tough, but that's just the way the game is played Which engineering are you doing, if I may ask?
  10. Hi everyone! I'm the Navigator! Where to begin? Let's see... I was sucked into the wide world of Reborn about a couple of months ago, decided I liked it, and so here I am. Personally I don't game as much these days as I did back in the halcyon days of high school, but lately I've been slowly getting back into Pokemon - so of course it was only a matter of time before I stumbled across Reborn! The battles are great, the story is solid, and the characters are interesting in their own quirky ways. And by the looks of it, so is the community My first game was Blue, and Blastoise was - and still is - my number one favourite. Having said that, there are quite a few mons from the newer generations that could almost take its place. Almost. Meanwhile, in the real world (or at least what it is to mere mortals such as myself), I am a simple engineering/commerce student in his third year. My own plans for the future are not yet complete, but they're coming together... slowly. When not working or behind the computer, I enjoy a bit of reading, basketball and cycling. Sometimes I write stories as well. I like listening to metal (gasp!) and I can play the guitar (and formerly the piano too, but that was a long time ago), although lately a friend has been trying to get me into hip-hop and freestyling. Good luck to him, I say. Well, I think that just about covers it for me. I can be a little bit shy around strangers, but I do enjoy meeting new people. With that in mind, I look forward to getting along with you all. Cheers
