I like the extra movement that Great Knights get more than General's little extra growths here and there, though there's no denying General has the better promotional gains in other stats and on lunatic he might be needing that Wary Fighter. It would certainly be interesting to see how an Oni Savage with a good Str growth fares. Kind of like a Knight that swaps skill for speed and uses axes. Mmm I like Ninjas because they debuff stuff, and I think it's unlikely anyone'll be bringing a good Maid/Butler. Shurikenfaire and ranged armorslayers are nice too.

Absolutely, I agree with you. In the case of Dark Knight it does have the bulk required to reduce the impact of -Lck, and I was looking at the growths like "that'll make one hell of a Dark Knight." I was just more making the point that luck is still an important stat for anyone who can't deal with being crit. Taking issue with the idea that -Lck is essentially free if you will.

I only just noticed this but I definitely wouldn't consider -Lck pretty much free. With the number of times I've been crit in this game you couldn't pay me to have low luck unless I've got extraordinary HP and Def.

Welcome to reborn! I'm not sure I've ever read a review of the game before, so this was quite interesting. Before I get onto my thoughts about your thoughts I might jot down the same categories you did at the start. Favourite starter: Cyndaquil. I started on gen 1 but by far the most commonly played pokemon generation in my childhood was gen 2, and Cyndaquil was my starter of choice from the bunch. Favourite pokemon: Heracross. Why do I like Heracross? Dunno really, I think it's something about the design. I've been enamored with it for as long as it's existed though. Favourite type: Bug. The bug type more than any other has a ton of pokemon that I like to use. In fact it's very rare that there will be a bug type that I don't like to use. Now onto your miscellaneous review points: 1. I think that's probably because Ame isn't really a professor in the sense that the professors in the other games are. She's more of an administrator than anything, well, at least I think she is. 2. I agree on this one to an extent. I'm kind of glad that it doesn't work that way though because I appreciate the challenges that Aya and Samson put forward, along with the fact that gym leaders like Shelly can track alongside you in levels throughout the game. It allows these characters to be more than just one time bosses I guess. You could make the argument that the gyms can be challenged in any order and that the gym leaders have a team for each level cap accordingly, but that doesn't explain why Charlotte refused to battle you at Laura's house so I wouldn't buy into that line of thinking. 3. No real opinion one way or the other so I'll skip that one. 4. Oh yes please. I love the music in this game way too much to want to be listening to the bike track the whole time. I've had a similar complaint in the past but I don't think anything happened to it. 5. Can't you use the volume mixer on your computer to adjust the volume of the game? I know I do. As for screen sizes, yeah I agree that'd be cool but I don't know how easy it would be to implement. Again, welcome to the community.

For anyone wondering why Crabrawler isn't Water/Fighting, it's based on the Coconut Crab, a species of giant hermit crab that is fully terrestrial and drowns in water. I think it has potential to evolve into something pretty cool, but I'm not a fan of it at the moment, nor do I like the other three pokemon that were just revealed.

I beat it once using Chesnaught when Spikey Shield still had the same effect as King's Shield. Those attack drops plus Leech Seed made it very easy.

Alright, here's a dilemma. I like Fire Emblem and am looking to play all of the games that I might enjoy. To that end I've played Binding Blade, Rekka no Ken, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Awakening, and Fates (though I'm not finished Revelations yet). Something I've noticed in playing other games is that when they don't have well developed characters with good support conversations I get bored, except in Radiant Dawn because I was already invested in the characters and the world at large, plus the plot is great. I've been thinking of playing Genealogy of the Holy War because I think it looks pretty neat, but does it have the same issue as Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem? Because I just couldn't play them, all of my characters felt exactly the same and I had no idea what anyone was supposed to be like.
