Battle with Sage Ghetsis! This guy....if there was 1 villain that terrifies me as much as Cyrus, it's this maniacal bastard. The whole game, he's been there, watching you, plotting. KNOWING, that you were eventually going to stand in his and his adopted ""son's"(No idea how that works, I mean they look the fucking same....)path. The moment you finally beat N you try to feel elated, but that's all crushed into the ground when this guy walks in. The battle theme is dramatic and bleak, absolutely terrifying, it's the exact opposite of N's final battle theme which sounded much more final battle-esque. And it's not just his theme that's terrifying, looking at his team, it seems like he was preparing himself in the scenario that you would defeat N and thus has the perfect counter to the Legendary Dragons. What is this, you might ask? Unova's pseudo legendary, The Brutal Pokemon. Hydreigon. This thing is the most THREATHENING pokemon in the games period, it's not even funny. It can OHKO your Legendary with Little Effort and hit the rest of your team hard enough to either OHKO it or leave it in potion range. And all the jokes about the chants shouting Dennis in the background? It's actually either Ghetsis....or the one that make this even better; Penance. Penance is a word usually used in religious context for making one pay for their crimes....sound familiar? Absolutely amazing, his BW2 theme would be here though if the fight with him wasn't absolutely embarrasing. GG Ghetsis. Cyrus is still a better villain though.

Battle with Colress.
People love this theme for a reason. It's so different from the other battle themes in the pokemon games being completely techno. It's so different and yet it fit's completely with his character and his team composed of steel, psychic and electric types. It's not epic or amazing like others...but it's still a blast to listen to and the battles with this theme in it are all very enjoyable aswell as challenging. It's fucking colress ladies and gentlemen, he's got a sick encounter theme on top of that. Just listen to this swaggy as beast.;
Absolutely amazing, Colress/10 would fight again.

Battle with Champion;Blue Oak.
You defeat the elite four and it's Dragon Master Lance...and then the bombshell drops. The rival, the person who's been 1 STEP ahead of you, always within reach, was the champion. The moment you feel you've finally surpassed him, you realize that he's done it before you and that he's the current champion, setting up a final battle that was both quite a twist and epic considering how well built up it is. The entire game, he's been in front of you, beating gyms back to back before you got there and coming back from where you were going to go, and now? He's the final obstacle, the final opponent before you took the title of champion for yourself and the battle that followed was epic. While it may not be Ghetsis level's of hard, it's still a hard battle and his team's well rounded looking similar in composition to yours. Not specializing in a certain type like other trainers in the game, he used the Pokemon he caught in his journey. The theme itself is brilliant with it giving a true sense of this being the FINAL battle and it having some parts of his encounter theme in there. In a Fire Red nuzlocke I did earlier this year, he nearly wiped the floor with my entire team with the only one still alive, barely at that, afterwards being my Vaporeon. His Exeguttor in particular having somehow taken down half my team. While he may be a cocky son of a bitch, he truly gave the ultimate final battle to hold his new title with amazing music, crazy buildup and a great challenging battle. While I love every version of the battle theme, I think the version in Pokemon Origins did it the most justice.
Just....listen to this glorious masterpiece;
and now for some honorable mentions that would've made it on this list in several different spots actually:
Battle with Distortion World's Giratina. It was a REALLY close tie between this and the battle with Colress, Giratina after all is my favourite legendary but I went with Colress in the end. The theme's very fitting for Giratina though, with it sounding like a theme in reverse if anything and it's an absolute mess yet it's amazing at the same time. It sounds like a bunch of different things at the same time and it fits the 'devil' pokemon perfectly. You go Giratina!
Battle with Champion Steven. I love Steven, he's a swaggy and well dressed guy and you can't help but love him. He's a steel specialist yet uses more 'earthly' based pokemon in the Steel/Rock/Ground types and it fits. Steven's an archeologist and it shows. He helps you multiple times throughout your journey, giving you Devon items and the mega stone/ring for your starters. He's the prime example of a champion that's also a really great friend and damn his encounter theme is classy!
Battle with Zinnia....do I even have to say anything here? Zinnia's theme is a fan favourite for a reason and it's brilliant. The battle with her may be really easy but the theme is enough for me to want to NOT beat her really. Not only that but her backstory is kinda tragic...and I really can't believe that Aster was her daughter so I'll just go with Aster being her younger sister or something.

Battle with Champion Cynthia..
In my opinion, the best champion battle. While I may have said that the battle with Blue is the best final battle....this one surpasses it to be honest. No words about the music, it's just that good. The battle itself is hard, her team being centered around pokemon with high offensive stats and most of them being average defensively. The team centers around covering the weaknesses of her ace, Garchomp, the all terrain threat it is. It's absolutely brutal, equaling Ghetsis's Hydreigon. And you know what? It knows Giga Impact for absolutely NO REASON except to make you fall down even more. Dragon Rush and Earthquake are usually enough to destroy most of what you've got and seeing this monster wreck your team one by one on it's own to the beat of the music is enough to make this theme and the battle in turn my favourite of the franchise. Fun fact for y'all. Cynthia and Cyrus's name are counterparts to eachother, one meaning red and the other white.
