Sorry to say, but there isn't an "exact way" to figure that puzzle. The only way would be if you get the same starting combination as mine, and then you'd follow my steps from there. But to be honest, that would be kinda hard. Your best bet is save in front of the puzzle thing, and keep resetting if you can't figure out.

What exactly do you need to know? Cuz i wasn't lying before: Based on a guy's post (Forgot his name), you won't be able to complete it everytime you start it. There are certain combinations that work, and you need to get "The Right Combination".

1 - Yes, Zubat's been changed to Noibat. Cuz Crobat is too good. 2 - Byxbyxsion Wasteland Tunnels is the first place that you have a chance to catch it right now. 3 - Noivern is decent enough, but Hurricane is broken in episode 12, so you won't be able to use a very powerful move. Actually, since that's not exactly related to the topic, it wouldn't be a problem if you opened another topic. But anyway: You didn't do everything. Have you found "Hardy"? a.k.a the red-haired gym leader? I suggest you go back to Route 2, but go south instead of North.
