  1. Well, we should probably decide if we want to lynch anyone today at all. Waiting can be a legitimate strategy but it also gives the mafia a lot of chances to succeed.
  2. Kage chuckled as he let the Tyrunt pull him away. "Bye mom," he said as he waved at the Tyrantrum. "Where are you taking me to, little guy?" He returned his attention to the Tyrunt.
  3. Kage giggled at the nudge, though it was almost enough to knock the boy over. "Oh, fine, you've convinced me." He rubbed the Dragon-type's snout affectionately, then dug in his pocket once more. Ignoring the reproachful signals from his Pokemon, he tossed another Pokeblock into the air in front of the Tyrantrum. "Now, where do the little ones want to take us?"
  4. that moment when you find something really touching and sad in a totally unexpected place

  5. you don't seem to be grasping the concept of "ideal" here
  6. in an ideal world people don't need to be motivated to innovation
  7. Normalize Thunder Wave can be useful, I guess.
  8. Except the system doesn't work for some people, even if you split it into the authoritarian/libertarian and liberal/conservative axes. I'm socially liberal. . . but I'm only opposed to the death penalty for practical and not moral reasons, for example. Centrism is also a thing. Calling someone a hipster because the one-size-fits-all political classification system didn't work particularly well for them or because they're opposed to partisan politics is not only bad for a debate, it's also rude as hell.
  9. It applies to most characters that you run unless they're explicitly not supposed to respond to things in that way.
  10. Carefully thought out? Don't make me laugh. The party system exists as it does now because a bunch of people got together because they wanted some stuff passed in Congress, and then another party formed because they thought the first party was stupid. Party-line politics are toxic as hell at this point, and calling independents/centrists hipsters is moronic.

Pull the overly protective male stereotype and grab either a shotgun, or a bat.

  12. What did you think of this Chapter? Did you enjoy it? I kind of liked it. It would have been nice to get more interaction with the Pokemon, and I kind of got caught in such a way that I couldn't keep up with the action, though, so that took away from it. Following up on that question; What do you think of this RP as a whole? It's a good concept and you've been executing it pretty well so far. I'm eager to see what you do with it. On to my writting in this, what do you think about it? Where could I possibly improve? It's very good for the most part, with one major flaw; Eric gets WAY too much time in the limelight. The main characters are supposed to be Surge, the PCs, and to a lesser extent the professors. As I've commented before, your NPCs also end up with almost too much of your own personality in them. No other criticism at the moment. Which Host Controlled Character's/ NPCs feel real to you? Which could use some improvement? Eric seems pretty well developed, both due to and in spite of my earlier comments. Who is you favorite NPC? Why? Explain. I like Clemont. He kind of surprised me, but I like how he's almost portrayed as the real brains behind this operation. Who's your least favorite NPC? Why? Explain. Ray I guess? I like him as a character, he's well written and I understand him, but he's just kind of a dick sometimes. What do you think of Professor Rowan and Oak? Should I try to fit them to the mold they're portrayed as in the games a bit more, or should we just get a bit more creative? I think they could be a little closer to their in-game personalities, but then again that's not much to work with. I think what you're doing fits the vision of the younger professors. What do you think of the battles that have been had so far? Do you disagree with the concept of Soldiers having no idea how to really bring out a GAOs potential in a fight at this point? They're pretty good. It forces the players to get a bit more creative with their writing and makes logical sense. How would you feel If I told you that the rules of conventional battling for the most part aren't going to mean anything in this RP? Do you feel this adds to the realism of the story? Should one try to fight fairly, even in war? I wouldn't be shocked. One should fight fairly but shouldn't count on the opponent doing the same, in my opinion. This also depends on how you define "fair." What do you think of the integration between the real world and the concept of pokemon done in this RP? Where can it be improved in order to make things more real? It kind of conflicts with some of the canon explanations, but also makes a lot of sense on its own. I'd like to see an explanation for Pokemon being orders of magnitude stronger than their base organisms other than virus magic. How would you feel if I tell you that a certain NPC/ HCG is eventually going to be forced to commit war crimes for their country? Not surprised tbh, though I wonder who it will be. Would you like seeing a bit of information about the world as a whole in the OP? Certainly. What did you think of the Mini-Boss battle for this Chapter? Again, wish I could have been in on it a bit more. What do you think of me as Host of this? Be honest, by now, I expect nothing less from you guys. No issues other than update frequency (which can't be helped) and Eric getting too much screen time.
  13. Department Store? The place had a shitload of unused space in it. I'm actually kind of annoyed they didn't include customization; it's not like it'd be difficult to implement.
  14. Marcus dodged backward with a backflip. He landed, pleasantly surprised with his own agility. "Normally, what you're doing would piss me off, but I'm enjoying this power way too much for some guy dropping torches on me to have an effect. I don't think you live down here, so that means you're human, which means you're going to get tired. That means you're going to die, and I'll be even stronger than before. Really, you would have been better off letting me go on my merry way."
  15. "I think we should follow these little guys," Kage said, oblivious to Claude's mortal terror as he was pulled along by the Tyrunt. With Lucas's help, he located their mother, and tossed a Pokeblock to her from his pocket. "No need to yank so hard, I'm not even sure this is my shirt," he said, beaming at the little fossil Pokemon.
  16. Kage gasped in mock horror. "You wouldn't do that to a poor, defenseless giant-ass dragon. Besides," he chuckled, "I'm pretty sure that's how you conquer countries, not psychological issues."
  17. "Well, if you're afraid, remember that a predator will only chase you if you run away. Otherwise, they won't see you as prey. " His speech was for his own benefit as as it was for Claude. "Besides, wouldn't it be nice to not be afraid of them? What better way is there to conquer a fear than becoming friends with it?"
