  1. You NEED to make her actually say that in the game
  2. My EV training this thing (Sylveon) all the way to 252 in Special Attack makes up for the fact that its Special Attack IV is only 7... right?

      Raindrop Valkyrie

if ti is an in-game playtrough yes. ((probably even fine in reborn.))

  3. Today's a windy day, so I was gonna train my future Sylveon's S.Def on the Hoppip swarm. But after killing them all once, they don't respawn when I leave the area and come back? Since what episode was that?

  4. If you say no to fighting Connal at the Yureyu building, he says something like "I've heard a certain name being tossed about by team meteor's officers, but it can't be..." I think we'll find out who she is later, by meeting her in person.
  5. I don't either, but I keep a sort of log about my 6th gen mono run over in the "Team Showcase" thread.
  6. Thanks to this guy for the new profile pic! http://fallenzephyrart.tumblr.com/tagged/100-palette-challenge-pokemon-icons And no, I'm not getting anything other than Milotic.

  7. Okay, so Kirby won his Death Battle like I predicted and expected, but why did they nerf him so hard? First of all, they had him sucking up random passerby to get his abilities durring the fight animation. I know that the animation has nothing to do with the outcome and is just for fun, but now they're gonna get spammed with accusations of outside help, accusations that they could have easily avoided with one small detail: The Copy Essence Deluxes. They're little copy pedastals that Kirby carries around with him that let him turn into almost every ability he has, whenever he wants, an unlimited amount of times, without having to suck up anything. They only let him become Buu Kirby when the fight was over, but if they had let him use the deluxe essences he could have used the "copy" copy ability to become Buu Kirby by just looking at Buu. He also can manifest his own abilities in the form of helpers, which means after becoming Buu Kirby he could have created another Buu, that fights for him. Also, he has better physical feats than the ones shown in the video. He survived an explosion that eclipsed the whole planet, you say? Well yeah he did, but he also survived a beating from Magalor, who can and did destroy entire galaxies with a single attack (unlike Buu who had to destroy all the planets in a galaxy one by one over time) and whose death collapesed an entire dimension. Cracked a planet in half with a punch? More like completley shattered the same planet with the same punch in a different continuity. And saying the warp star is "faster than light" is a gigantic understatement, since it traveled halfway across the galaxy, a distance of thousands of light years, in a matter of minutes. I guess they just wanted it to look like Buu had more of a chance, huh? EDIT: forgot another thing, Kirby can resist the pull of a black hole on foot, doesn't even need his massively ftl warp star for it. And if the lets himself get pulled in, he of course survives.
  8. I was doing a 6th gen mono run, so my options were very limited. I led with a Prankster male Meowstic, set up a Reflect and used Charm a few times before dying. Went to my Slurpuff, who after two Cotton Guards was all but invincible. From there it was just a matter of weakening the Garchomp with Fake Tears and then spamming draining kiss.
  9. After trying it out in X version, I found out that Trump Card actually DOESN'T hit adjacent Pokemon, that it only hits a single target. Bulbapedia lied to me on that one.

Flameburst also doesn't have splash damage, which according to my sources it did. Was a nasty surprise to find out when my first opportunity to test it was against a gym leader.

    2. Etesian

      Etesian

      THAT's what I meant when I said it's not a spread move.

  10. Well, it looks like Echoed Voice is a no go for my future Sylveon. New plan: Trump Card. Misty Terrain + Pixilate + Pixie Plate + Trump Card with only 1 PP = 540 base damage. Or if it's a double or triple battle, 405 base damage on each fighter. In other words, Sylveon gets Rainbow Dash level of destructive capability, able to casually cause nuclear explosions with no damage to herself.

Trump Card can hit any adjacent Pokemon, not all. Pretty sure it's not a spread move.

same difference, it still gets the 75% nerf

Nova, giving more PP to Trump Card actually makes the move weaker and is a bad idea lol.

  12. Uh, making common candies more scarce and expensive is kinda contradictory to the name...
  13. Is anyone else having trouble attaching files to their posts? Particularly save files?

I responded to the PM as to why you couldn't.

  14. Update 41: The Third Exception While going through the forest, Jack finally learned a better grass move in Seed Bomb, Braveheart learned Hyper Voice, which is essentially a normal type Flamethrower, and Strawberry learned Play Rough. Now, this is where I’m torn. Strawberry’s ability to recover with Draining Kiss made him an awesome tank, who could also dish out tons of damage when setting up with Fake Tears. But Play Rough does much more damage on its own, without any set up nessecary. But it’s physical, so Fake Tears doesn’t do anything to boost it either! I ended up deleting Energy Ball, so that I could go with either whenever I feel like it, at the expense of Strawberry only being able to use one type of move: Fairy. I don’t need the type coverage as much anymore since I have Jack, I guess. And since tonight was a windy night, I was able to access the Mysidia Railcave. By going in the direction the train tracks DON’T point, I got Eevee, who counts because she evolves into Sylveon. Yes, she, because I made sure it was female for breeding purposes. Wait a second, since I got her for breeding, and put her in the “slaves” box, does that make her a… How about we change the subject. Spinel Town. Not much going on there, other than that I got the Good Rod, which will be important in getting some new Pokemon in the near future. Oh and I fought Bennet, let’s talk about that battle instead. Led with Pumpkin as always to set up the screens, then went to Strider to wreck Larvesta with Smack Down. And Vivillon, and Masquerain, and Butterfree. Man, he’s got quite a weakness to Rock types huh? And just when Venomoth was about to come out, Strider learned Extrasensory. Now we’re finally starting to get some good moves for him! He wrecked Venomoth with his new move, making Dustox the only Pokemon he didn’t take down, who was done in by Sassy. Also there was a battle with Team Meteor in Tanzaan Mountain. Braveheart’s new damage spread move and DiggersbyTho’s Swords Dance boosted attacks were destroying them, and then one of them used Earthquake. The ceiling went down and EVERYONE fainted at once. And when I sent out the replacements, they all got poisoned from Toxic Spikes that were sent out earlier! And to make it worse, one of the opponents used heal block to stop me from healing the poison! We pulled through though, through some wise choices on when to use boosting moves and when to use priority moves. That was a pretty difficult but interesting battle, I kinda wish I got something out of it. And now, to not fight Serra. Like with Kiki in the previous episode, Serra doesn’t have a field effect because Ame hasn’t (or hadn’t. She probably has by now) developed one for her yet, and will in the next episode (and maybe one for Noel?). And since I want to fight her at her best, I’m going to wait until that next episode comes out to continue the story. But don’t think I’m done with this run until then, oh boy I have a lot of things I want to do first…
  15. Wait, if Eevee has 4 moves at "Start" does that mean I can't breed TM moves onto it? (yes I'm doing this in episode 12.1)

If you want more clarification, I can send you a PM.

When an Egg is hatched, what moves the Pokemon will have depends on the moves' breeding-priority.

It goes Volt Tackle, Egg Moves, TM/HM moves, inherited level-up moves, START moves.

    4. Simon

      Simon

He was telling me that moves Eevee had were the just the start moves. I think this may be similar to the whole Phantump situation I told you about Etesian.

  16. So I got the FPS control thing for Reborn, yet even at 500 FPS, the game runs slowly. Smoothly, but slowly. I guess it's a sign I need a new processor?

    1. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Keep in mind the monitor needs to support the FPS otherwise it doesn't make a difference most times.

  17. To use or not to use the speedy upy cheat for Reborn... On one hand, I can run the risk of losing my save file. On the other, I have a RIDICULOUS amount of grinding and walking back and forth ahead of me...

      Sutoratosu

that thing legit works like a charm

    3. Sutoratosu

      Sutoratosu

and it technically isn't even cheating, just improving FPS performance

    4. Maelstrom

      Maelstrom

I wouldn't count speeding up gameplay as cheating anyhow. Just time saving.

  18. I've heard talk about a thing you can do with Reborn that speeds it up really really fast, but wasn't really interested until now. Where could I find it exactly?

I dpn't fully know it would go really that fast, but it will help of the lag.

I would not risk using Cheat Engine since your save might get corrupted. I suggest this http://himeworks.com/2014/10/rm-fps-control/

It uses Cheat Engine, but please read the PSA about it before doing so.

  19. Yeah, I've gotta say AuthorReborn, I think it's been pretty well known that Braveheart is a beast. Heck, I wouldn't be suprised if Ame moved it ahead in a later episode.
  20. If ever I get my computer to not suck so much, I will get Minecraft. And then I'll get this Pixelmon server, and then I'll build a life-sized Reborn Region in it. I'm gonna follow this topic for that one and only purpose. What? Being a Pokemon Trainer? What's that?
  21. Oh, so Eevee has a 1/8th chance of being female you say? So why it taking me like 20 something tries and counting to get one? (need a female for breeding purposes)

    1. Shushup

      Shushup

      1/8 chance PER Eevee. lolol

  22. Crap, Kenny had ahold of his leg, and now he was HGADJFAKL FJSAFJADJ WHAT WAS HE DOING TO HIM? Without thinking, he brought down the whirling metal propeller to where Kenny's arm apparently was, undoubtedly either ruining or severing the limb. He didn't pause to see which it was, he just felt the pressure on his leg release and blasted into the air, as he started to suffer the effects of... Whatever just happened to him. It felt like electricity was coursing through his whole body, making him spasm randomly and corrupting his thoughts- wait, since when did electricity corrupt thoughts? No, this had to be whatever it is that turned Kenny evil. And unless he didn't do something, it might turn him evil too! He remembered his pole and how it conducted the force lightning- maybe it could conduct this stuff too? He held the beam at arm's length and focused at the tip facing away from him (was that blood on the end of it?), willing the energy to go there with all the willpower he could muster, similar to how he used Kenny's powers only a few minutes ago. The weird, dark stuff rushed down the pole and conglomerated at the end in a large ball of seething, inky blackness. He thought about sending it right back at Kenny, but nah it would probably power him up or something. Instead he swung the pole behind him, launching the horrid ball of death in some random direction that wasn't Kenny's. He didn't notice that the random direction happened to be straight at Marcus and Mr. Taylor.
  23. Who expected a Slurpuff to take down Solaris' Garchomp almost single handedly? Almost... he did have some help from a Prankster male Meowstic...
