      "Anatiferous" means "bringer of ducks" in Latin. One of the many hilarious comments the game makes on your combos :P

  2. Sara, Sharon, Claire, Misty. You can only pursue one. Which one do you choose and why? This isn't necessarily limited to Commander.

  3. I don't understand jack about poetry, mostly because, well, my English pronounciation is kinda butchered, so it's hard for me to tell if the words actually rhyme <.< Still, that's an interesting choice for a theme, sometimes I wonder what makes people feel compelled to write poetry... It's fascinating.

      I actually have a Noble Knight deck irl now, even if I don't play much. I would be okay with it's return ~~So I have someone to use new strategies on~~

      Eh, I wish I had a co-host... And the plot would need MUCh revamping ;-;

  5. I should mention that, later on, there is going to be a battle you are supposed to LOSE. While it IS possible to win, the fact that it is meant to be lost means that, well, winning without losses is virtually impossible, and the possibility of a TPK (which, again, does NOT cause the usual black-out-go-back-to-Pokemon-center thing, as you are expected to lose here) is very real. I wonder how THAT is going to play into your Nuzlocke plans.
  6. I write in English all the time, but actually SPEAKING it aloud felt kinda weird... I just hope my pronounciation wasn't THAT bad ;-;

      It's oddly the reverse for me. English is my second or even third language, after Telugu and Hindi, and yet I am most fluent in speaking and writing in English. In fact, my Hindi is rather shaky, despite it being my national language and stuff.

      Anyways, accents give colour to language. Don't ever let anyone berate you for your pronunciation; in the words of Napoleon, "When in Rome, viva la France!"

  7. As of Ep 2, you get a Water/Steel and a Dragon/Steel, both already announced. If you missed the announcements here, check out the list of announced things, in this same section (link in the OP, or through the tags below).

  9. Well in fairness, our own sheep Pokemon, Pslamb, is Psychic/Normal... I mentioned in the announcement how I originally planned for Cat to use honorifics, only for the idea to be scrapped. I also mentioned, in a later post, that Zim was the first to voice his opposition to the idea, but more or less everyone was against it... Huk was just posting his own thoughts on the matter. Thus proving that indeed, everyone but myself was against the idea ;-;
  10. Welp, the evo is in my signature, up to you to decide if it is wolf-like enough for your tastes...
  11. Eh, that fable (its moral, at the very least) is going to have a bigger influx on the plot than you might think at first.
  12. I can confirm that both Mapaca and Pslamb are catchable in Ep 2.
  13. Actually, the first to voice his dislike of japanese honorifics was Zim, although virtually everyone was against the idea. Obligatory like to Ceph's post, his speculations are always so fun to read (although of course I cannot deny nor confirm anything). No guesses on the abilities? I dropped hints for all 3 of them, if you know where to look
  14. Added Mapaca. NOR stands for "not officially revealed".
  15. Good day, loyal followers of Pokemon Se7en. My name is Catherine Cook and today, as per Father's request, I will grace you all with my company: as it happens, he and myself don't share only a surname, a knack for business, and a degree of proficiency when it comes to Pokemon battles (well, more than just "a degree" in Father's case, he IS the champion of Graterras, honorary as the title may be). We are also united by a common love for a specific Pokemon species that resides in our beloved region, which is why Father, in his infinite generosity, saw it fit to allow all of you, our loyal peons, to feast your eyes on an announcement written by no other than me, his flesh and blood. Now, unless your attention span is inferior to that of Azery-kun, you should remember how I, when you first set foot on Route 1, gave you all of my Pokeballs, as a gift to help get your adventure started. If I were to state that I didn't do it because I like you or anything, there are some individuals who would probably turn such words against me, interpreting them as further proof that my personality falls into the character archetype they call "tsundere": such ignoramuses however fail to understand that I really didn't offer you my Pokeballs out of generosity. The real reason is that I didn't need them, because Father, by that point, had already given me the offspring of one of his prized Pokemon, belonging to the species I am here to announce today, and it just so happens that said specimen has a ridiculous advantage over Mary-san's team in general and Nauphrantom in particular, which made my showdown against her a breeze. By this point, you are probably wondering what Pokemon could possibly be capable of such a feat, so without further ado, allow me to introduce to you my beloved Mapaca! I shall assume you are all familiar with the popular saying, "a wolf in Pslamb's clothes". This clever predator has learned how to disguise itself in order to infiltrate the flock and capture its preys. Some speculate that this species might actually have originated outside of Graterras, and specifically in the Jotho region, because of the similarities with another sheep-like Pokemon that inhabits that distant land. Thick like a top-quality coat, Mapaca's fluffy wool mainly comes in handy for the aforementioned disguise tactics, but it also has other uses. It also makes Mapaca cute and cuddly, which is certainly a nice bonus: even a proper lady like me is not immune to the charm of such an adorable creature. Unless your eyesight is worse than Zim-kun's, you should be able to spot Mapaca's evolution in my signature... Although such a knowledge will hardly do you any good: I myself haven't figured out how to get it to evolve yet. Father says that unveiling the secret of Mapaca's evolution is but another challenge in my journey to become a trainer worthy of his name and role, so I shall not give up: I wonder if you, my loyal peons, will be able to crack it before me? Well, I am late for a tea party with some of our company's major stakeholders. If you will excuse me... TOMAS' POST-SCRIPTUM: yes, my original idea for Cat had her speech pattern include japanese honorifics. Sadly, this idea was ultimately scrapped.
  16. Ceph, Red, don't go away, I'm about to post the new Se7en announcement...

      Yeah but you used that very term, "middle of nowhere", which is kinda vague... I didn't know it was an actual country area, with farm work to do etc. Reminds me of my own hometown.

      yeah i guess it is weird when you think about it, sometimes i can try googling my house and google maps can't find it :o

  17. While I can understand the reasons why people would not use Conk enough for it to stay OU, my issue is not with that. My issue is with Conk in UU. I dunno, maybe it's because I am so used to seeing it in OU, but I am not so sure the guy would be a healthy thing to have in UU. Although I guess anything that can make the tier any less about stall is a blessing...
  18. Sorry, had to do it. But yeah jokes aside, I think we all agree Dragalge is a good Pokemon that is worth a spot in most teams. I doubt anyone can possibly make an argument against it. The only thing I would like to point out in Viri's post is that, well, from an in-game point of view Surf is generally better than Hydro Pump (more PPs, better accuracy, utility outside of battle), but this is seriously a minor nitpick. If Draco Meteor ever becomes available, Adaptability will become all the more precious...
  19. Even so, I find Dragalge to be a Pokemon worth using. It is bulky, versatile and hits like a truck. I admit being a bit biased, but... Yeah. By all means do use it.
  20. I distinctly remember asking you to cut this kind of posts. March has been the single worst month in the history of this project, and for reasons out of our control (Essentials having a nasty bug, Zim and then Az getting ill, Huk having technical difficulties as well as IRL issues, my grandpa being alive only nominally). We have been trying our hardest, throughout april, to make up for that, but the loss of a month is still a HUGE blow for a project like this. I had already explained all these things, and I am not happy about having to explain them again. I hope you won't force me to explain them a third time.
  21. I have the next announcement already planned but, since I am currently still in my hometown, I won't be able to post it until tomorrow night. So yeah, you have all the time you want to catch up on Hexatis...
  22. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-363464868 I don't know what makes me laugh the most. The fact that Xerneas gets Ingrain, or the fact that someone would actually use it.
  23. Much like Marcello, I too lack a mic. And I am currently in my hometown so the point is kinda moot anyway. But I would like to play some DND in the future, so yeah, I will be keeping an eye on this topic. Once you have decided, once and for all, how this will be done, for how long, in what day and at what hour, I'll see if there are the conditions for me to join. I don't want to hold you guys back by forcing you to accomodate a precarious solutuon just for me tho, so yeah, just keep on discussing the matter and don't worry about me
  24. Are you guys determined to do this via Skype? Because I really would like to join this (the irl group I had found dissolved because the DM graduated <.<), but I don't have Skype, and it is impossible for me to get it at the moment for a plethora of reasons ;-;
