Random Cold Steel thought #37: when Millium introduces herself to the class, she bows... And the huge scary robot that always follows her around bows in unison with her. That's got to be one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

Random Cold Steel thought #35: the optional bonding event with Sara, at the abandoned bracer guild, is so sweet. I am particularly glad I got to see it, because I missed it during my first playthrough.

Turns out Beowulf has a rather bad match-up with Double. Considering that I hate the guy, this makes resident eldritch abomination my fav character in the cast.

Random Cold Steel thought #34: maybe I am too sensitive on this kind of matters, but the stunt Alfin pulled to get Rean to dance with her at the Summer Festival (basically forcing him to choose between hurting the feelings of the people closest to him, or pissing off the imperial family) completely killed her likeability for me. It's too easy to be a prankster, when you are an imperial princess who can use her status to get away with everything...

Random Cold Steel thought #33: you know you did an awful job at handling a family situation when FIE, of all people, lectures you about it. Highlight of the whole ordeal remains Crow calling Patrick "Patastrophe" tho.

Random Cold Steel thought #32: I wish Neithart would get more screentime. I like characters of the "comically serious" kind, his "manly swimming" lessons to the male party members were absolutely hilarious...

Random Cold Steel thought #30: leaving aside the usual jokes about Jusis competing with Machias, as well as the blatant fanservice-y shots of the girls, one thing I noticed from the school swimsuits scene is that Gaius is RIPPED. Like, not even joking, dude has a hell of a physique, on top of the best personality of the cast. Makes you wonder why are all the girls going after Rean.

LOL. Well the whole scene was built around how the guy would compliment his granddaughter on growing up healthy and strong... And then would slowly slip into dirty old man territory, which would be a recurring joke with him. I never realized that "growing a pair" in English is used to refer to something else...

Random Cold Steel thought #23: when it is revealed that Alisa's mom is in the board of directors of the school, is it ok to play it for laugh? I mean, the poor girl run away from home, hoping to escape her family... And then ended up in the very school her mom runs. Imagine what must be going through her mind.

Final tally of my third day of Skullgirls: I got Filia, Cerebella, Big Band and Eliza figured out. Still working on that Squigly, I do feel like I'm making progresses, but I still cannot master the "using stance cancels to extend combos" thing...

Random Cold Steel thought #20: playing through NG+ with unlimited bonding points is making me realize just how many events I had missed in my first playthrough... Which in turn is making really hard for me to decide who I should romance. They are all so sweet, and have such elaborate personalities...

There is a NPC in Skullgirls named "Lorenzo Medici". Here is what the Wikia has to say about him (copy-pasting): "Lorenzo is named after Lorenzo de' Medici (Lorenzo of the city of Medici), an Italian banker who was the de facto ruler of the Republic of Florence during the Renaissance period. He was also one of the most powerful and violent crime bosses at the time."

I lived in Florence for a LONG time, so I know more than a little something about it. While it is true that the Medici had become rich thanks to involvement in the bank business, and while it is true that they committed many atrocities on their way to prominence (the most infamous being the massacre of the rival famili, the Pazzi), Lorenzo himself was not a banker nor a crime boss.
