Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Chim replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Meanwhile at the Academy “Ah, Miss Welsh, welcome!” Professor Redwood said. He opened his arms to welcome her. Miss Welsh held out her hand in a protective manner. “I’m not here for my pleasure, Craig,” she said. “I received some concerning information that a student was brutally injured by one of those dangerous dragons. Are the other board members here?” “I’m sure you have,” Redwood said sarcastically, a tone he reserved to deal with Caroline Welsh. “8 members are already present and awaiting us on the seventh floor. Th-“ Miss Welsh interrupted. “That means one of them isn’t here yet. Let me guess; Brand. He’s never on time! Frankly I don’t know why he’s still on the board!” “That hurts my feelings, my dear Carolina!” a voice coming from behind her said. She turned around and saw a man 5’6” with long blond hair that reached his shoulder. He had friendly grey eyes and a warm smile on his face. He wore one of his dark blue business suits and had a briefcase with him. He opened his arms and smiled even wider. “Old friend!” he extended his hand to Redwood. “Jeremy, welcome, how was your trip?” Redwood replied. He accepted the extended hand and guided Mister Brand inside. The two of them let Miss Welsh behind on purpose while pretending to be in a serious conversation about Brand’s trip. “That’s Miss Welsh to you!” she hissed in a low voice. Brand turned around. “Caroline, dear, did you say anything?” He looked her straight in the face. Her black hair tied in a knot and cold grey eyes hiding behind glasses. Even though both of them were respected CEOs, the difference couldn’t be any bigger. “I said you have to address me as Miss Welsh!” she walked straight passed Redwood and Brand and opened the elevator. Brand bowed in apology. “My sincerest apologies, I keep forgetting that Caroline is for your friends only… That’s why everyone calls you Miss Welsh.” He still had a smile on his face when he looked back up. The tension in the elevator could be cut with a knife. -
Sigurd’s intention of staying back was tempted when he heard the words ‘Little Druie’. He ignored Marcus’s protest and walked over to Half-Orc with a big grin on his face. “Little Druie,” he gave Dru a pat on his arm, “why don’t you introduce us to your friend? I’m sure he has a lot of juicy stories about you growing up!”

Are we allowed to catch something during the Urban Games? I've been thinking about giving Logan a Spheal.- 1189 replies

I made that first comment because of this. It's not pointed at EXLink who tried to use science. I don't mind people using it but something like this is going overboard. A good example that is allowed is Mareek's use of Vacuum Wave. If people keep it at that level I don't see any problems. The thing I just quoted is going overboard. If I say something about it now Antares can come up with something else that won't cause any trouble when he finally joins.

1. I don't like maths / physics so keep it to Pokémon logic like Snap said. 2. Surge already covered it but you can only do max 2 moves and leave an opening for your opponent. That Muso Renge thingy sounds like 3 moves so no BS with "the first 2 extremespeeds are 1 attack." 3. If I'm online and I see things like that (which is why I'm only allowing one battle at once after the trip) I will make posts to interfere if things get out of hand. If you see a post popping up from me to interfere you have to go with what happens there. It'll be a something like an OP attack backfiring or missing. My co-hosts have the same authority to do so. 4. Since we have some new people: Snap and Jory are still my co-hosts. They have the same authority so if they interfere I strongly advise you to listen. Ignoring them or showing no respect is the same as doing that to me. 5. I know I didn't put any rules in the first post but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I didn't bother with them because we have a lot of experienced RPers that never make any problems and know how things work. If problems like power-playing keep happening, I will put down some rules. Same thing happens when you disrespect someone but with a RP this big it results into being kicked out. I like to have this many players (partly because it's a big help with the plot) but I'm not accepting any BS. Yay top of the page. Btw does anyone know how many pages a thread is allowed to have? We're getting close to 200...

All evolutionary items are available at the lab. However a Pokémon can only evolve 10 levels after their last evolution or they need to be level 20. And you'll see. It won't take long before it starts.
-
There is but not enough time for Coordinators to battle. Remember I said I would give them something to do? And I'm not going to spoil anything else that's going to happen in chapter 3.
-
Nope. I already matched everyone up. One battle at a time and only 2 pokes allowed. One of them has to be a new catch.
-
I've decided to stick with the Slade vs Evan battle. I would like to see myself how EXLink battles so I can say when he goes overboard without multiple people doing it at once. I have the feeling EXLink doesn't really see the line between OP or not and tends to get carried away, but if I can stop it immediately he can also have fun battles. That's the main point why I'm facing him after the trip. In the Winter Cup it's a different story.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Chim replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Group 2 (Commander and DarkLight) Henry’s advice gave Tyron some time to think before giving Danielle an answer. While he didn’t act like he was an experienced battler or a smart person, he wasn’t dumb either. He was experienced with multiple battle styles and his responsible side made him take this question very serious. “I don’t agree with your friend over here,” he answered. “Every style has its own strengths and weaknesses. You sound more like a defensive orientated trainer. I heard you say your Pokémon have healing up moves and that they cripple their opponents. Your friend mentioned you don’t like them to take hits which are quite a common sight with defensive Pokémon. On the other hand neither of them counts as a defensive Pokémon…” He rubbed his chin in thought. “While that can certainly work for Murkrow, Volcarona and even Mawile it’s not a bad tactic so you don’t need to change to an attack and speed type. If you don’t like them to be hit they would be taken out rather fast. Murkrow and Volcarona can serve the quick hitter role so why don’t you try out a defensive Pokémon?” Alastair, who knew Tyron for a few years now, jaw almost hit the ground. He had never seen Tyron act like that. In fact, not many people asked him advice and got to see the other side of him. People tended to think he was simple minded because of his straightforward battle style and loud personality. A surprising trait Tyron shared with Phoebe if only the water type expert wasn’t so lazy. -
Doesn't really matter as I only used Golem to see what James would do for future events. He's one of the characters I can't read. And I'm moving everyone forward after that Charmander event anyway.
-
I'm going by the anime for this one. I'm pretty sure that I saw Scyther 'fly' in one of them. It was more like hovering and not very high but it counts. xD I said all 5 caves were connected so James could've heard the Charmander.
-
Mareek's Erce can fly. And if levitate counts there's that OP Magnemite. If that happens I'm sure he will shock some people. Because back in the old days gay people stayed inside the closet. Or they did everything in secret.
-
That sounds actually pretty cool. It's not something I can start soon because I'm still working on this one. (I know I still need to make a map of the Academy grounds but it keeps being pushed back and I suck at making it. At one point I just thought about drawing lines and circles xD) It's also funny how people mention ideas that slighty 'touch' what I planned. Edit: @Commander: That's basically what I do when people want to catch it. But now that I know you are going to catch it I can link it to some future interaction.

No problem. Oh and RoG is officially finished. Only Galen is going to stick around. I'll come up with some extra NPCs or steal Zephyr's and Snap's characters This also means that Snap is going to join the students. She's the last one to join them as she is a co-host and I want her to stay involved. Not like she has any other choice. Still working out the details but for now I'll probably let her character join chapter 3 so for now I might just boss her around with updates.
-
Wait until it mega evolves! Commander: About that Togepi; want me to set you up or not?
-
Larvesta isn't your ace! xD And Vullaby isn't exactly a powerful dragon either... But dark/flying vs dark/flying would be interesting.
-
He changed his mind and wanted to go for weird Pokémon like Elgyem. And I'm just looking for a team for Kristen. Since I made her Danielle's rival I'm looking for a Dark type. Maybe I should go with Vullaby. Too bad it evolves somewhere in the 50s...

If I ever need one of the PCs I'll PM the person who created them. Chances are that IF I do another one in Ymora it's going to be focused on Greadia. (Not RoG but the Kingdom) Once Jory had the chance to catch that Charmander I'll move everyone along. Just keep an eye out on the characters post (post 2 in this thread) and let me know if I missed a catch. There are a few people I have no idea what they want to catch and some that are already at 4. Btw is anyone still going for Bisharp? I have the feeling everyone suddenly backed away from it because others wanted to use it. If that's the case I might give Kristen or Evan one.
-
I don't think you'll see it away from the RP. There is always a possibility I would do another RP in this region if I'm inspired to do another story. But that's a big if and only after this one finishes.

The League works like the games with the only difference that a trainer needs a license. The Academy is there to see who deserves a license and who isn't ready. But the League won't be involved in this story.
