  1. Sigurd face palmed. The new technique he came up with, not very original but he didn’t care about that, backfired. That was probably the last time he would try to throw his sword in a crowd. He walked over towards the golem. “Yo, buddy, you got something of mine,” he said walking around it. He grabbed the hilt and tried pulling it out. After a small struggle he fell on the ground with his sword intact. He cleaned of the dust like nothing happened and completely ignored the fact that one of his precious swords was stuck inside the golem. He walked passed Marcus and rubbed the blade on the Fire Templar’s clothes. “Just in case, I can’t let my sword be… stained by that thing. Thanks man!” He gave Marcus a pat on the shoulder and walked back to the group non-combatants, still ignoring what just happened. For once he would let the others deal with whatever that thing was.
  2. Trystane, still on Argo’s back, tried to count how many enemies there were. Halfway through the count he decided to keep it at ‘too many’ and followed Eric inside. He didn’t say a word but kept his guard up, glancing at every corner he saw. His spear was resting in his hand just in case.
  3. Sure. I never control something you want to catch. If that was the case you wouldn't need 2 teachers around. The PCs aren't the only ones on the trip. There are plenty of NPCs (just like any other school) but I'm not going to bother creating names or looks for them since they aren't involved in the story.
  4. Gym Badge substitutions? And no. Trainers have to travel around and defeat gym leaders like in any other region. But that's not relevant to the story. I made the League as background and to complete the Region. Students can't challenge gym leaders because they don't have a license yet. And at this point every student would get their ass kicked if they challenged any leader.
  5. Group 1 (Bforger, Murdoc, Zephyr, EXLink) Haxorus just snorted when Kage released a Tyrunt. She didn’t mind as long as the other dragon wouldn’t try anything funny. The sight of a Tyrunt was something new for many small Axew’s. A few of them came closer to take a look and surrounded Kage. Some of them seemed eager to battle. In the meantime the two Axew’s playing tag with Slade ran past by Raiza and Lana when they suddenly stopped. A loud roar that didn’t belong to any Haxorus was heard. A few of the older ones immediately walked over to the tree line, where it came from, and met some small Deino’s accompanied by a Hydreigon. The big one was covered in scars but didn’t seem faced by the welcoming party of at least 5 Haxorus’s. He only reacted when the one that stood next to Kage a minute ago walked over. The two growled at each other in anger but didn’t seem to do anything else. “Attention everyone!” Devin suddenly spoke up. “The little Deino’s and Axew’s around here like to play with each other but their parents have a long lasting rivalry going on. They don’t like each other and don’t tolerate one another on their own grounds. Normally they would go head to head but they never do it when the small ones are around. So for now stay away from the big ones. I’ll keep an eye on them but those of you that want to catch one hurry up. We’re going to leave soon. The parents accept it if you manage to defeat it in battle so won’t come after you.” Group 2 (Commander and DarkLight) “Ooooh! You have a good eye girl!” Tyron yelled. He walked over to her and studied Avis. “I think I remember this one… Aren’t you the Murkrow that always pranks people during my class?” His tone sounded amusing. After six weeks he still didn’t remember every name or in which program they were but he knew the ones, like Avis, that stood out. He turned his attention to Danielle. “If you like that Garchomp; what kind of battle style do you have? I always go for the straightforward ones that pack a punch or can seriously retaliate.” He showed his energy and passion by throwing a left-right combination at an imaginary opponent. A few meters behind him Mienshao shook her head in embarrassment. She was used to her trainer’s antics by now but sometimes she couldn’t help but think Tyron had no off switch or common sense. Tyron just kept going. “You should try it sometime. Get yourself a fighting type and take down your opponent in a few swift movements! Or a steel type can get the job done as well. Incredible defense those guys have!” Group 3 (TurboAura, Tses, Tacos) Phoebe raised her eyebrows when first Ryan asked for a favor and then at Sissy’s question. What did they think? She was a teacher, not someone to involve in silly love affairs! She sighed and answered Sissy’s question first. “Take a look around you. This place is filled with students and aside from you there are at least 10 other girls. So yes, I’ve seen multiple girls running around. You have to be more precise about how she looks…” “And as for you,” she said to Ryan, “man up a little!” She rubbed her head. Kids these days can’t do anything by themselves… “Why would I turn a girl down for you? I’ve nothing to do with it so she surely won’t appreciate if you go around and involve other people, especially teachers! If she ran away you either did something or she wants to be alone for now. When she calms down you, and you alone, should try and sort things out.” Roman kept silent throughout the entire discussion. He knew Phoebe for a few years now and it always entertained him to see her try to act as a teacher in her own way. Surge Rebecca didn’t say anything. Clearly something happened but if Mareek didn’t want to talk about it there wasn’t much she could do. After his question she looked on her watch. “It won’t be long before we go back. In 15 minutes Brendan will signal for everyone to gather up. Your group will go to Professor Cadmus next.”
  6. That was the plan all along. And Madame Plumeau isn't going to appear before the Winter Cup. She'll be there when the entire thing starts.
  7. Murdoc do you still want to catch an Axew? I have an idea to move things a little faster so Zephyr can go ahead and catch that Deino at the same time.
  8. Zephyr “They are cute as long as they are little,” Lana said with a really quiet voice. The adult Haxorus intimidated her a little and she had the same feeling when she saw Hydreigon and Salamence fighting in Devin’s garden. “Professor Cadmus said the real trouble usually starts when they reach their final evolution.” EXLink The Axew stared at Slade long enough for the second one to catch up. “Axeeeew!” the first one yelled and started running away quickly followed by the second one. Apparently they decided Slade had to chase them first. Tacos Phoebe, who wasn’t paying any attention, was a little startled when Flygon landed next to her. “Shees, kid, you almost gave me a heart attack!” She put the back of her hand against her forehead. “I’m way too young and pretty to die!” she added with a little bit of drama. When Ryan didn’t respond she gave him a quick glance out the corner of her eye. “What’s with that face? You would think flying on a Flygon would be a pleasant experience…”
  9. I really like monotype and used it to create this RP. I was planning to do a mono water character but decided against it since I already created Phoebe. Lana uses my second favourite type and originally I planned a dark team for Devin but it just didn't fit. That's when I thought about making dragons OP (or give them that reputation) because Gamefreak introduced Fairy types to counter them. In the story I originally started Lana had a mono fire team which can be really strong. Flying and Bug are really good on Showdown.
  10. Once your character is introduced I'll ask the three Pokémon he currently has. 10 is the limit but be aware that the more you have early on, the lower their levels are going to be. Multiple dark types can cover their weaknesses really good. I run one and manage to hold myself against Fairy and Bug types. Fighting tends to be really annoying unless I can cripple them first with Sableye.
  11. @Zephyr: Go ahead with the Deino. And I you want a Mega Dark type how about getting a Sharpedo instead of Crawdaunt? Or T-Tar since I don't think anyone is getting a Tyranitar soon (I know commander mentioned it but not sure if he's getting one) or a Houndoom.
  12. You can mention it (might be a way to get some interaction with Mareek going) but at the end I'll assume everyone who made something turned it in.
  13. Oh ok xD I already wrote the general lines of the story so I don't think I need anyone unless I burn myself out or something.
  14. I meant the part about accepting new people. Yes, you can have one.
  15. I was planning on doing that. And I do say no irl if people aren't worth it but I can't use the same standards on internet without giving people a chance.
  16. Parent. A big strong one. Speak for yourself xD I just don't like saying no to people when it comes to things like this. And it doesn't help if they make interesting characters like Tomas Elliot. Chapter two is much longer. Also I have a lot of laptop problems from time to time and I had to rewrite everything because RoG was inactive and it messed up the storyline. I'm not going to do a half-assed chapter because you can't wait. If I do that now things won't make any sense further down the road. I'm dropping RoG. Snap can make another character if she wants but I'm only keeping Galen around. (Surge's character)
  17. Group 1 (Bforger, Murdoc, Zephyr, EXLink) Some of the smaller dragons were running around while their parents kept an eye out. One of them was standing directly behind Kage. He could hear the dragons footsteps. Two little Axew’s were playing something that looked like a sort of tag but wilder. The one that was running away bumped into Shiro and Slade. Group 2 (Commander and DarkLight) Tyron was still walking circles around the Garchomp. “Alright show me what you got!” he yelled. His enthusiasm rubbed off on the dragon type. “Mienshao, show him what you can do!” The fighting type took a stance when Tyron pushed against a tree. Some leaves came down and with unnatural fast jabs Mienshao cut them perfectly in half. Garchomp only snorted and signaled for Mienshao to get out of the way. He gave the tree a head-butt, causing a cracking sounds, and slashed at all the trees at once. In its enthusiasm, and slightly provoked by Tyron, it slashed the tree in half causing a loud rumbling noise. Tyron started laughing even louder drawing all attention to him. It took a while before he calmed down. “That…was in-incredible.” He gasped for air and held is hands at his waste. He laughed so hard his ribs actually hurt a little. The Garchomp scratched his head in embarrassment because it went full power and obviously underestimated the challenge. Group 3 (TurboAura, Tses, Tacos) It didn’t take long before Henry and Sissy ran into Ryan who was still sitting against a tree. He was obviously upset about what happened between him and Sofia earlier. Group 4 (K_H, Surge, Jory, Azery, Lucky Elf) “Chaaar!” an echo sounded through the caves where Jacob was. If he looked to his left he could see some sort of a natural staircase and apparently the echo came through there. It was safe and often used by tourists. If he reached the exit he would enter a small rocky area. There were no trees and he had a perfect view over the area around him. Beneath him he could see the other students in his group. Above the cave, where he was now, there were some Roggenrola and Sandshrews eating berries. They didn’t pay much attention to Jacob, but if the student looked closely he could see an orange tail with a flame sticking out between two Sandshrews. Rebecca received Mareek’s wooden sculpture of the Mega Ampharos. “Impressive!” she said. This one was one of the best she received so far. She gave him a warm smile but when she saw his expression she stopped. “Is there something wrong?”
  18. Panda still needs to make a character and Tomas Elliot is also waiting. It's going to take at least a few more days because I don't want to rush things. And Chapter 3 involves the Winter Cup so if TurboAura agrees I can arrange they face each other. Normally I would randomize each opponent but if there are requests and both players agree I'll set them up.
  19. That's something I mentioned in the very first post. Greninja can dodge more attacks but won't be able to take a lot of hits. Aggron (or any other tank) is the other way around. They won't outspeed much but can take multiple hits. And if someone is being unfair people usually say it in here.
  20. Sigurd was walking a few meters behind the group. He was doing a bit of sightseeing and decided to let the rest get comfortable around Boney. He got hungry and was looking inside one of the provision bags for a little snack when he heard the metal clashing. “Leave some of the good stuff for me!” he yelled while sprinting past the non-combatants, leaving the provision bag behind. He finally managed to catch up with Oarloff when the Orcs were within range and concentrated on the wind around his blades. A faint blue glow could be seen around the edge of the sword before he launched it at an Orc.
  21. Alright. Next update will be tomorrow though. I'm tired and it's almost midnight here. I try to keep an update in the second post. If I miss any Pokémon let me know. (This counts for everyone)
  22. That's entirely up to you two. Anyway, is none of you going to Ryan? Miss should've found him if she traced Sofia's steps.
  23. DarkLight and Commander “You’re nothing but talk until proven otherwise!” Kristen said before Henry was out of hearing distance. “And not that’s in any of your business, but no, I don’t like Slade. Someone else caught my eye…” At that moment her attention was drawn to some ruckus by the tree line, not far from Alastair and Danielle who were talking. “It’s not foolish at all,” Alastair said. “You might not believe this but I used to be young too. Light years ago that is,” he chuckled in an attempt to lighten the mood. His eyes followed the Danielle glance and he saw Henry walking away from Kristen. He figured the girl had something to do with the school drama and sighed. “You know what? I’ll tell you a story from my youth!” he took a seat next to Danielle. He patted Avis and looked up in the sky. “Professor Cadmus and I grew up together. We were both into Dragon types and were well known around town. We battled each other a lot and drew a lot of attention. People used to call our battles the best ones they saw at tournaments, carnivals or just somewhere on a battlefield. “He smiled when recalling his memories. “Not to brag but I could held my own against him. Until he suddenly tapped into his full potential and left everyone in his dust… but anyway, we almost never lost. We were well known amongst people we battled or trainer that started their journey the same time as us. One of them was a girl I had a crush on. She was rather strong and specialized in Electric types. We didn’t travel together with her but always knew where she was. Even in foreign regions we battled her a lot. I admired her, even had a crush on her, but she never noticed.” He paused for a moment, still smiling. “She told me later she never realized it. In fact she found me super weird. Every time she battled me I did something strange. In the beginning I went full power to show her my strength and try to impress her and when that didn’t work I lost on purpose to get her attention and give her compliments. Many awkward moments were created because of that believe me!” he laughed. “My point is; I never had the guts to tell her and she never realized. Before you give up, don’t you think you own it to yourself to confess? Maybe he doesn’t realize it or maybe he doesn’t dare to confess either. I know it can be scary and your nerves will take over but at least that way you know. If it turns out for the worst, that means the guy has no taste, and that there is someone else for you who will return your feelings and appreciate who you are.” He gave Danielle a pat on her knee before standing up. “That’s the advice this old man would give you. And the girl from the story turned out into a beautiful woman who kicks my ass without me losing on purpose. Ah well, what one can expect from an Elite Four member…” He was about to leave with his thoughts when his attention was drawn towards some noise, not far from them. Tyron, unusually quiet, was walking around a proud looking Garchomp. He was inspecting every inch of it while his Mienshao, who was always out her Pokéball, was keeping an eye out. “Ohoho! You look like a powerhouse!” Tyron’s voice reached almost everyone around him. “I’m interested but there’s something… I don’t know.” He was still studying the Garchomp and started circling around. “Mhm not quite the same as a fighting type or a sturdy steel type…” The dragon snorted at that comment.
  24. I think I get it. I never said I'm okay with it. I'm suspicious of him as well but I can't prove it. Next time something like that happens and the same excuse is used I'll know it's a lie. So for now I give him the benefit of the doubt.
