  1. No that's another NPC. I don't control PCs unless it's small movements like I did with Robert. Poor guy never saw it coming.
  2. The one that bumped into Danielle? No, you are still with the group I put you in. I just didn't reveal anything about the two new NPCs yet.
  3. While your parameters are true for any real life school, this one works a bit different. Every teacher in this school is specialized in a certain area + 1 type they focus on. Redwood screened all of them and they are the best candidates around. Students can find the info they want or advise about skills from any teacher. While Phoebe is specialized in water types she can easily give advice on how to handle fighting types. However she will mention to ask Tyron because he's the strongest Fighting type user around even though he doesn't have only fighting types. As for your commends about how irresponsible they are: - Devin is the most important NPC for first years. He's responsible and safety comes first. He makes it his job to be involved with new students because he believes that the first year is the most important one. Students are still discovering their style and raising Pokémon. That's why he's always around instead of Redwood. - Phoebe is the newest teacher. She's very outgoing and about the only teacher that doesn't mind if you actually call her by her first name. She is a complete powerhouse that rivals the E4. She's not as strong as Devin but can hold herself very well in battle. She will make sure students are safe but when RoG invades she won't give students orders to retreat unlike Devin. She'll say to either find help or to hold the grunts off to their best ability because she's actually really smart and has an eye for battle. She knows that even the first years can go head to head with some of the agents or outnumber them 2 vs 1 or something like that. She's also somewhat unique in resolving conflicts because she uses her Pokémon to break things up. (Something the other teachers don't do) - Tyron isn't used to teaching either. He was originally hired to do all the chores but gradually earned a spot on the team. He's not on the level the other two are, but is the third strongest teacher. He will use a 'wrecking ball' strategy if necessary so students can escape and will be safe. He'll give the same advice as Phoebe to go look for help or make sure to atleast outnumber the enemy. Aside from Devin I haven't shown much of the other NPCs on purpose. The reason I only made three teachers is because this RP focuses on the students. They are backed by three of the strongest people around. 2 of them literally have the power to raid RoG on their own and get very far. Devin can hold down 2 admins at the same time if necessary. As far the part about them losing their job: won't happen. Devin is way too popular and parents would have even more doubts if he was fired. All the rest is protected by Redwood. That is currently his role before he'll be involved into the story.
  4. It's not like that, but the Goodra will stay around a bit longer. Anyway it's past midnight so I'll update tomorrow.
  5. I'm getting ninja'd left and right tonight. I edited it in because I didn't see that post at first. But like I edited: A character like that would literally miss all the action. Take the upcoming Winter Cup for example: teachers don't battle in it. Also every type is already covered by teachers. Devin teaches Dragon types (amongst other things) and Phoebe covers Water. There are other teachers covering the rest but they aren't important to the story. Two of the three teachers I made don't always behave as teachers so students have the opportunity to go head to head against RoG. A freelancer who teaches battle strategies could work but again: you would miss all the action. New student is possible when we reach chapter 3 and then I make a decision if RoG stays around or not.
  6. Alright. Well Danielle is taller. The Redhead is around 160cm. (And Evan is 162 btw) @Antares: Teachers were never available as a character. You would literally miss all the future action. I accept new students after chapter 2 is done.
  7. Jory Brendan thought for a second. “In the forest around us are a lot of Bug, Grass and Flying types. In the caves are Ground, Steel and Rock the most common ones. If you consider one of those types you should have no trouble catching one. Do you have a certain Pokémon in mind? I might be able to point you into the right direction.”
  8. Commander and DarkLight Alastair made their presence known to the dragons by slowly walking up to them. Some dragons, especially the older ones, recognized him and didn’t react when they saw him. They knew he wasn’t a bad person so for now they wouldn’t mind people approaching them. TurboAura and Tacos A girl with brown hair kept looking up at Ryan and the Flygon. She was trying to find a way to get closer to him, but this scenery probably wasn’t the best place. She had to watch her step if she didn’t want to fall into the swamp. Robert soon found himself at the edge of the group, almost in last position. While he scanned around the area to look for Dragons and other Pokémon he failed to notice the presence behind him. It slowly came closer and closer without making a sound. A shadow fell over the boy and if he watched the ground he could see it grow. A cracking sound of a twig snapping in half brought his attention to the Pokémon closing in from behind, but it was already too late. As soon as he turned around he got the full on body check from a very friendly Goodra. Robert couldn’t escape the tight hug for almost half a minute. When the dragon finally released her grip, the boy was completely covered in the gooey stuff.
  9. Both. And since I edited that last question: How tall is Danielle? The redhead is the second NPC.
  10. Like DarkLight said: forest. It's the only place you can catch a Pokémon on Academy grounds. Edit: DarkLight: How tall is Danielle? Because the redhead is the second NPC I'm introducing.
  11. Go ahead. It makes sense for Drilbur to show up where they are now. Also the trip isn't really about a lecture on the species but more on how to interact with them in the wild. As long as you follow the guidelines nothing will happen. In Henry's case: don't piss off a Garchomp.
  12. I wonder who will end up as a Tyrantrum snack because they pissed it off. Any bets?
  13. Group 1 (Bforger, Murdoc, Zephyr, EXLink) Under Devin’s guidance the students walked for ten minutes over the dusty road in north-eastern direction before reaching a fork. One of them was small and led upwards into the mountains. Devin stopped for a minute. “We’re going up. Soon we’re going to reach a rocky area and the first Pokémon we will encounter will be Tyrantrum. Students that are thinking about catching one should let me know when we arrive.” After a short climb they reached something that looked like another plateau, but this time there were a lot of pine-trees around. Little Tyrantrum were wrestling with each other and at least 3 big Tyrantrum kept an eye out. There was potentially a fourth but at this point of view it wasn’t clear. All they could see from the fourth was the tip of the tail. Devin motioned for the students to stop. “The Tyrantrum live not far from here, but we won’t go into their nests. They are a very proud species and as long as you show them respect they won’t hurt you. Treat them as the kings and queens they once were and you see they might even let you play with the small ones or catch one. If you go for the last option wait until a Tyrunt challenges you!” Devin walked over towards the Tyrantrum's without adverting his gaze. Some small Tyrunt's looked at him with interest and came closer, but Devin only bowed to the parents. Suddenly the trees started shaking and the biggest Tyrantrum of them all came out of the pine-trees. Apparently the tip of tail that was visible earlier belonged to him. He tilted his head and watched Devin for a while before giving a snort. Devin bowed again and pointed towards the students. Tyrantrum looked at them with interest before repeating the same action. After he snorted one last time he went back into the tree line and Devin signaled that the students could come closer. "Be careful! I just earned the Alpha's trust and he allows us to be here. Things can turn out very ugly in the blink of an eye if you don't respect them." Group 2 (Commander and DarkLight) Tyron and Alastair went back the way the students came earlier before leaving the path to the east. “We have to talk a small walk through the forest so stay close.” It wasn’t too hard to keep up. There was enough space in between the trees and if they followed Alastair’s lead they walked onto a path created by wild Pokémon. Soon enough they reached a rocky formation with small caves. There were about 10-15 of them. “As you all can see,” Alastair started, “this is where our lesson starts. These are Druddigon caves. If you look closely you can see the rough edges. Druddigon make their caves with their own claws. Also notice how the caves are lined up? There are two layers and none of the caves are connected or directly above and under each other. They do that in order to keep the layers as strong as possible. If they would dig at the same places things might collapse.” He waved his hand in a following motion. “Directly behind these caves is the sandy area. At this time of day they should be around there playing with the other dragon species.” The further the students went towards the Druddigon’s den’s, the hotter the air became. They avoid direct contact and stayed on a respectable distance in order not to bother a possible sleeping dragon. Alastair walked in front along the tree line. “Take a look,” he said with a smile. Little Druddigon were playing around with Pokémon from the Flygon and Garchomp lines. “Be careful around the big ones and don’t startle them. For now keep your distance and wait until they make the first move.” A girl with red hair came from behind Danielle and bumped hard against her shoulder. The redhead completely ignored the coordinator and blocked her view. Group 3 (TurboAura, Tses, Tacos) Phoebe and Roman were talking in front of the group. Both of them had very outgoing personalities and the atmosphere around the group felt light because of it. They walked directly to the west from camp through the forest. They followed natural paths created by Pokémon and used by the local rangers. The further they went the more small paths seemed to come together in the midst of trees and bushes before taking a turn north-west. The Flygon, with Ryan on its back, was flying directly above their heads. If he looked down he could see a girl looking up all the time in his direction, only looking back to the path in front of her to keep her balance. Unfortunately for him he couldn’t get a decent look at her because of all the trees and branches in the way. The further they followed the path to the north-west, the wetter the ground appeared to be. Without realizing it the students had already entered the swampy area. Roman raised his hand to signal for everyone to stop. “Some of you may have already noticed the ground is getting wetter by the minute. The plants around us absorb most of it, but just ahead there’s a lake and everything will get swampy. Be careful where you step and keep an eye out on the dragons. Kingdra, Dragonite, Dragalge and Goodra all live together here. Don’t anger a Dragonite and be careful of Dragelge’s poison and we’ll be fine. Group 4 (K_H, Surge, Jory, Azery, Lucky Elf) The last group went directly south from the camp, the same way they arrived, before splitting up from group two. Instead of going to the east they took one of the smaller paths to the west. Apparently it was used often by hikers and local rangers as the footsteps of the last people were still visible. They didn’t have to walk very far before Brendan and Rebecca stopped and waited for everyone to gather around them. Brendan started to prepare some camera’s while Rebecca explained. “As Professor Cadmus already told you, all of you are free to explore. Don’t go too far from this open spot where Brendan and I will be the entire time. If anyone has a question you can always find us here. Now, a little further ahead, you can see a rock formation in front of you, are 5 caves. They are all connected and not very deep so getting lost is almost impossible. It’s filled with Noibat, Noivern and other wild Pokémon. The rocks aren’t attached to the actual Boulder Hills and we checked them last week so they should be safe. Also if you look around you in the trees you can see Altaria nests. This is their breeding place and where they live. You can usually lure them down if you hold a treat.” She looked at Brendan who nodded to her. “Professor Cadmus said you all receive an assignment based on creativity. Those who wish to make a picture can get a camera. You are also free to catch Pokémon and have a few hours to do so. When you hear a whistle come back to this place because that means we’re going back to camp where you will meet up with the next Professor. If everything is clear come get your camera or start exploring!” Both assistants felt a bit proud about their speech. It was the first time they went on this trip and neither of them had experience with large crowds, especially if they were made out of wild and impatient students.
  14. I don't count that as being a support character. Because if he has to stay behind it means that there was no other option and he probably won't be the only one. (And Tacos ninja'd me) Nothing is set in stone yet. A lot will depend on what happens when we get to that point in the story.
  15. True. I agree that some characters might think that way, but there is no hero role. Nothing I planned is easy enough to solo it like some heroes do or like the games. And I will make sure everyone has the chance to 'shine' and is challenged in a way. Claude will be in no way a support character.
  16. This is supposed to be a darker story compared to the games. Normally I planned for RoG to keep that darker tone around and give some clues as to what they are doing in their chapter 2. I had to delete that part which leaves things open storywise and I can't just drop the dark settings into the Academy. The only 'dark' part in that storyline for now was supposed to be the Hydreigon story. I figured if I change some things around I can implement the dark side a bit sooner. And I think I found the perfect PC for it. Unfortunately I'll have to move something I planned to happen in year 2 to now so it will spoil a little bit of what's waiting down the road.
  17. It's not that big of a problem as I'll probably skip the rooms from now on. I just did it now to give me some extra time rewriting things. I'm almost ready as I found a way to implement the darker side into the story and shift some other parts around.
  18. Tacos, TurboAura and Lucky Elf Evan’s Cleffa popped out of her Pokéball and jumped into the snow. She made a little snow angel while her trainer finished packing. “If you guys want to make a snowman I suggest you wait until after we get back. We only have 5 minutes left before we’re gathering outside.” He stepped into the snow to grab Cleffa and put her on his shoulder. The little fairy admired her work and made happy sounds. Zephyr, DarkLight and Tses Lana chose a bottom bed and followed the conversation the other three girls had. She suddenly made a squeaky sound. “Oh no, we only got 5 more minutes!” she grabbed her things in a hurry and left the room. She didn’t want to keep Professor Cadmus waiting.
  19. Snap The man behind the glass grinned. This was the first step; calling out the interrogators to get a reaction from them. It was a lot easier answering questions than not knowing what was going on. The next step would either she started talking a lot and said everything or she would become more and more aggressive. This method, influenced by stress and nerves, was by far his favorite. He would see how this would play out a little longer before sending someone in.
  20. I'll start the trip ASAP. I had an idea (and I think it's an interesting one) involving certain characters and to make it a little bit more dark so I'm currently rewriting storyline for the rest of chapter 2 and a little bit of chapter 3.
  21. He won't. Shiro and Danielle are the only ones so far that get on Evan's nerves because of their previous actions. I can add Alvin to the list but that was only to create the settings in detention.
  22. “I don’t care which way we go,” Sigurd said. “Let’s take the short cut. Even if we aren’t welcome we have greater enemies to slay!”
  23. Evan isn't Claude's type? Awww I'll be moving forward after Shiro's group picks a room.
  24. Tacos, TurboAura and Lucky Elf “I can see you’re devastated,” Evan said playing along with Claude’s act. “Anyway I’m going to prepare for the trip. I’m in group 2 by the way.” He didn’t think any of them were in the same group so he grabbed his back and pulled out a fresh blue shirt. The white one he was wearing right now would certainly be ruined by the sand. Without paying attention to his roommates he gave Claude unintentionally a small show when changing shirts. Zephyr, DarkLight and Tses “Hello Avis,” Lana said when the Murkrow flew over. She followed the bird inside, feeling like she intruded a conversation, and stared at Danielle’s feet. “Danielle, are those beds still free? Or are you keeping them for someone?” Her voice was quiet so Sissy had to do a lot of effort to hear her.
