  1. He's saying be careful with coming up with combo's as it leaves your Pokémon wide open to at least one opponent. And everything that's weak to Ice or Electric takes SE damage + extra from the second type, unless type immunity is involved. I already said I gave up with trying to keep everyone at three for the upcoming Winter Cup. If you catch more your levels are lower compared to others. If they are on par at least one Pokémon needs to be far behind to balance everything out. Dark types that can take on Fighting types: Sableye and Spiritomb are immune, Drapion / Skuntank / Malamar / Mandibuzz and Honchkrow take neutral damage. Other dark types combined with the types you mentioned: Sharpedo / Crawdaunt / Greninja (water). Shiftry and Cacturne (grass) and Bisharp for a steel type. Correct.
  2. The Ice part would do SE on a ground type while Electric won't do anything. Combo or not, if a move isn't very effective or has no effect at all it stays that way.
  3. For some reason I think that statue would be more effective in a Contest. At least the charge part would be ineffective against ground types.
  4. Just to be clear: people that wander off when exiting the bus will be left behind. *glares at Shiro and James* That update is coming later but I didn't have time to include it right now.
  5. While the students were pranking each other, Devin was still working on dividing them in groups. He was content with the results of his first attempt, but felt that last minute changes were required. One group contained a lot more students and some names were placed in the ‘on hold’ category. His finger went past names and every now and then he stopped. Advent, Shiro. Ah yes, the boy with the Ralts I met on day 1. I kept an eye on him and noticed he doesn’t have much confidence and struggles to control his Snorunt. He isn’t the most social kid either… He usually follows the same people so maybe I should place him in another group. I think I’ll keep him close at the start since he tends to get in trouble. He was also the one that angered Hydreigon after all which shows he can be irresponsible. I’ll place him in Group 1 that starts their trip under my guidance. He moved his finger down the line of names again and stopped when he reached Baldwin Henry. Yet another student that caught my eye on day 1 and one of the students that Shiro follows around. I have the impression lately they don’t get along, especially after what happened in my garden, so I’ll keep them separated during the trip. He’s rather hard to approach and doesn’t seem to have many friends, but at least he learned from his mistakes. I’ll split him up from his usual social contacts and hopefully he will open up to people in the future. On a side note; I still think he would do better in the Trainer program instead of trying to be a Coordinator. It seems a little odd to me he choose that path. Burlinkski Kyle was the next in line. Devin couldn’t help but smile a little when seeing that name. Even amongst Coordinators Claude stood out. He could probably rival Madame Plumeau when she finally returned from Kalos. A little eccentric, but at least he’s social and easy to get along with. He’s popular and I noticed a close bond with his Cottonee, but his Karrablast looks like trouble. It shouldn’t be a problem to place him in one of the groups as long as he doesn’t get too comfortable. I heard he’s afraid of Rock types, but in the end he handled himself well when facing my Tyrantrum. I’ll have to tell the other adults to keep an eye out just in case he panics in the Hills. Somehow all the Coordinators seemed to be on top of the list as Devin’s finger reached the next name he placed under the ‘on hold’ title; Chastain Danielle. One of the more popular students and she seems really close with her Pokémon. As far as I can tell she’s always around Jacob and Slade so I’ll break that little group up. In my garden she showed no consideration towards a wounded student because she was flirting with Slade. I can’t tolerate behavior like that in the mountains and to be honest I expected more out of her. Another thing I noticed is that she acts strange around Electric and Fairy types. If that keeps up I’ll have to talk to her about it but for now I’ll place her in the second group far from her social comfort zone. Holmes Kenny was next on the list and the first trainer. Ah yes, Kenny also caught my eye on the first day due to his battle with Henry. However he doesn’t seem to have learned his lesson if I go by what he showed me last time. He has an irresponsible battle style and pushes his Pokémon to far over the limit to achieve victory… a dangerous style. He also seems to lack common sense as he tried to Sucker Punch a Vulpix and addresses teachers by their first names. I can only hope he starts to learn from his mistakes and for the sake of meeting others I’ll split him up from his usual group. Johnson, Ryan. He broke his ankle in my garden. I still need to talk to him about his mobility during this trip. Aside from that I can’t tell much about him since he’s always around Kageharu. I think I’ll keep them apart so they can get to know more people and actually pay attention to their surroundings. According to Professor Redwood he’s a responsible trainer and his grades are really good so I don’t expect too much problems for him. Devin sighed when he read the next name: Kafkin, Slade. Where to start with this one? I had my eyes on him before class started since he was a runaway. There was also the incident in the forest, but after I saw him handle the situation I thought I might’ve overreacted. Unfortunately he didn’t prove me wrong. He shows a very irresponsible battle style by pushing his Pokémon even further then Kenny. I fear that his Magnemite might overload one of these days. He also seems very oblivious as to what happens around him and doesn’t pay attention towards others. He only seems to have eye for Danielle and Jacob, but to avoid a similar situation like the one in my garden, I’ll split them up. Marson Raiza Kestrel was the next name in line. Devin frowned a bit. He knew that name from somewhere but couldn’t quite put his finger on it. According to Redwood her parents were breeders so that was probably the reason. I don’t know much about her. She’s one of those students that don’t stand out. I haven’t seen her interact with a lot of people either, but that Litwick of hers is something else. I’ve seen it stare at people like it wants to eat them so maybe I should pay more attention to it. I also have the feeling that she’s one of those students that suddenly comes out of nowhere and is actually a quite decent trainer. It happens every year. ‘Average’ students that start slow and catch up with their peers in no time. Without anything else to add he didn’t think twice about placing her in a group as she would probably fit into all of them without causing problems. The next student was in the same boat as Raiza; McLake Sissy. Another one Devin didn’t know much about it. Usually students had done something to already to catch his attention, but Sissy and Raiza were different. He thought for a moment and tried to recall her interactions with others. I really can’t place her. I’ve seen her talk to a few other students, but none of them she seemed to be friends with. The only thing that stands out about her is the Misdreavus living in her hair. Who knows, maybe she’s one of the average students that will stand out one day. I think I’ll place her in a group with more social people like Ryan. Devin looked out the window for a second and saw they were almost there. He really wanted to finish his list now so he quickly moved on the next student on his paper. Nerfion James. Devin frowned. I literally always see him wander off. I’m not sure if he does it on purpose or if he doesn’t have anyone to talk to. I think I’ll place him with social people like Kyle. Hopefully that way he will open up more and be more involved. Parkhurst, Robert. He’s a responsible student who seems to act like some sort of older brother towards Shiro and Kenny. I just hope it doesn’t get in the way of his personal growth. I’ll place him in a group without them so he can get to know some other people and Pokémon. I want to see more of him outside of his comfort zone. Devin sighed again when Reeves Evan was next on the list. After his little outburst on day 1 I kept an eye on him. I thought he had anger issues, but during these past weeks he’s been laughing and shrugging everything off like it’s nothing. He’s not social and aside from his roommate I don’t think he has any friends. I’ve seen him get into situations that could’ve easily got out of hand but he just didn’t react to it. However his emotions got the best of him again in my garden. He’s the type to bottle everything up and his smiles aren’t sincere. I don’t think I’ve seen him happy even once. Not even after winning a battle. He’s a person of extremes. His battle skills are really good, but his grades are amongst the lowest. One moment he’s smiling, the next his temper gets the best of him. I need to keep a closer eye on this one. I already spoke about him with Professor Redwood and he agrees. Evan’s temper is dangerous for his own growth. Professor Redwood sees him as one of those students that would just quit is he doesn’t see results. The Winter Cup might play a key role in this. If he keeps his emotions under control I consider him an outsider to win. Speaking of the Winter Cup; the next name in line was Robertson Jacob. Devin had high expectations of him as he considered Jacob one of the favorites to win. Jacob is very responsible and asked my advice on multiple occasions regarding his Trapinch. If he’s like that with all of his Pokémon, which so far he is, he’s going to be difficult to beat. The only reason I hadn’t placed him in a group yet is because of Slade and Danielle. I hope those two don’t hold him back and he has the opposite effect on them regarding responsibility. However I want him to interact with other students and get to know other battle styles. In fact I think I have a solution when I look at the next name in line. Both of them are promising students that use decent tactics. The next name in line happened to be Sisto Mareek A. Mareek is probably the best at this point when it comes to battle tactics. He can rival Jacob in terms of battle and I count him as one of the favorites to win the Cup amongst the first years. The only downside I noticed is that he seems to be favoring his Scyther. I’m sure he’ll figure out sooner or later that to find a better balance in dividing his attention to all his Pokémon. He’s not social and a closed person. I hope I can change that a little by giving him the opportunity to interact with other strong trainers. It can only help his growing process if he faces them on the practice fields. The last person in Devin’s list was Tsukihashi Kageharu. Well, I think I finally found the reason why I thought he was hiding something. I’m pretty sure he’s blind so I’ll keep him with me at the start of the excursion. I haven’t told anyone yet, not even Professor Redwood, until I’m 100% sure about this. I’ll ask him one of these days as I’m quite curious why he didn’t tell anyone. Aside from that he’s a decent battler and really close with his Pokémon, especially that Ralts for obvious reasons. I think I’ll keep him separated from Ryan for now as I want to see him interact more with other students as well. When he wrote Kages name in the first group he noticed they would arrive within five minutes. He took the microphone that was placed next to the driver and his voice could be heard through the speakers. “Students, we’ll be arriving shortly at our destination. Our guides will be waiting for us so I ask you all to gather in group and don’t wander off. The place where we stop is not where we will be spending the night. We still have to walk for an hour to reach our accommodations. That’s all.”
  6. Of course you did. Heartbreakster Danielle doesn't want him to be left behind huh? I wonder why... xD
  7. Apparently we left Jacob behind. I'll just assume he did that yesterday and is on the bus.
  8. Zephyr joins students: +5 pages in a day xD Also we're almost there. I'm finishing Devin's thoughts about everyone.
  9. What Surge said. I will tell you this: I'm considering to drop RoG as playable (except for Galen). It all depends on what Zeke and Lia do.
  10. I was looking for a second offensive one. And the wiki said that the presence concealment doesn't drop when you try to poison someone, but that shouldn't be a problem since I'll follow the 'hit and run' strategy. My character would side with the MA, but if there isn't a spot left I'll figure out something. Thanks! I'll take a look at the Avatar of Isis thing. I believe Rusty used something that had to do with that as well with his Cleopatra.
  11. It was difficult for Trystane to hide his excitement. These Shadow Steeds intrigued him and the more he learned about them, the more he wanted to ask. He refrained from asking since that would mean he would waste too much time. “You’re right. I’ve never heard about Shadow or Hell Steeds. I’ve just one more question before we leave: is this pack the last of your species?”
  12. Only problem with the 'accidentally stumbling upon' theory is that Noibat and Gible aren't found in the same area. Depending if he goes with Tyron or with Rebecca / Brendan first he'll run into one. (and no, he can't choose who to follow first)
  13. That would literally kill students... Unless Devin is around but I'm not that nice.
  14. The more you win the more battles you can have. And there is a 'reward' for winning the Cup. I already planned some encounters, but Onix isn't involved. I already have an OP Steelix running around (no, you won't meet that one yet) so this time I'm using other Pokémon. I'm not spoiling what is going to happen or which Pokémon will be involved.
  15. The more you catch earlier the lower your levels are going to be. To be honest I tried keeping everyone at the same level for the Winter Cup but some people decided to catch Pokémon anyway. Those people obviously won't win the Cup. EDIT: RoG received an update. That mission was ridiculous.
  16. ((I’m going to move everyone along. The duration of this mission turned out to be ridiculous.)) After Brian, Ezekiel and Aurelia managed to steal something, they ran into a powerful Houndoom. They were fortunate enough that at exactly the same time the other members broke in through different places. Windows were smashed and the sound of breaking glass was everywhere. Two others forced to door and kicked it in. All those humans screaming and running around were much more fun to hunt down. Outside the mansion, in the garden, they met little resistance. The guards were defeated and couldn’t stop them. Some of them were knocked out while others barely had any energy left to even yell at them. But everything went wrong the moment they said foot outside the fence. They were immediately surrounded by dozens of police officers. Each of them seemed to have at least two Pokémon out. The RoG agents were outnumbered to bad it wasn’t even funny. All three burglars were placed in a different police car and had to wait for who knows how long until every other member was caught. When everyone was finally caught the police officers transported them without saying a word. No one knew how much time passed or even how long the ride was. All the agents saw was a building with the police sign above the door. Aurelia, Ezekiel and Brian saw each other again when they were placed behind bars with the other agents. Every now and then an officer showed up to pick out one of them, but none returned. They couldn’t see or hear anything except for a dark corridor with four cells. Three of them were empty and two officers kept watch.
  17. Btw for future references: I'll never control a Pokémon someone tries to catch. I only control wild Pokémon that are either events or to mess around with people.
  18. You wanted me to control that Litwick? It would be easier for me if you told me that somewhere since I assumed you were planning something. I asked before if James was done in the forest but didn't get a response. And seeing that everytime I plan something James ends up somewhere else, I've no idea if you even read updates I post. If you want the Litwick and catch another one during the trip your Pokémon levels will be lower. Same goes for Kenny. And Litwick can be max level 15. (Pokémon during the trip are 15-20)
  19. NPs are difficult for an Assassin... Here's what I have so far: Spirit: Cleopatra Class: Assassin Alignment: Neutral Evil Strength: E Agility: B Endurance: D Mana: C Luck: C Noble Phantasm: D Class Skills Presence Concealment (includes her servants) B Personal Skills Charisma: B (Only to control her servants) Disengage: B Seduction: A (Her beauty allows her to manipulate others) Poisoning: A (Her main weapon. Deadly, Paralysis …) Noble Phantasms Queen of Egypt: Allows her to summon servants for different causes; a scout, a warrior, an archer or just someone to feed her when she’s bored. Rank: E ((Max 5 at a time and mainly used for scouting or to escape from battle)) I'm not sure about Queen of Egypt because she'll be doing it all the time. Maybe I should turn it into summoning poisonous snakes / Nile crocodiles or something.
  20. And you'll never get one by this rate xD Everyone on that bus is playing video games so far.
  21. Logan marched in line. His thoughts were filled with the upcoming Urban Games. He considered this the first real test and knew he had to keep a close eye on Clint. His fellow soldier still wasn’t recovered and as a medic he felt responsible to treat Spark Alpha the best way he could.
  22. Let the splitting up games begin! I'm going to have so much fun
  23. October 8; 9.17 AM The day finally came that all the first years left the Academy to go on a 3 day trip to the Boulder Hills. A lot of students were excited they could finally catch a Dragon or maybe find another interesting Pokémon they hadn’t seen yet. They left the Academy at exactly 8.30 and arrival in the Hills was planned an hour later. There were enough students to fill two black double decker busses. The first one was filled with everyone from the trainer program while the second one contained the breeders. The coordinators filled the open slots in both busses. Danielle, Claude, Henry, Sissy and Shiro were all placed on the second bus. Tyron, who was snoring the entire time, Rebecca and Brendan were also present. Devin and Phoebe were riding along in the first bus. The Dragon Tamer was looking through the papers containing student data he printed a day earlier while Phoebe was looking over his shoulder. “Are you still busy with that?” she asked bored. “I thought you finished that yesterday?” Devin didn’t respond immediately. His pen was moving fast between his fingers after he was done writing another name on a spare paper. “I finished the battle match-ups,” he said. “Right now I’m still dividing students in their respective groups.” Phoebe sighed. She was bored and wished she got in the same bus as Tyron. She knew he would fall asleep anyway but it was fun poking him and seeing his reaction before falling asleep again. ((To be clear: trainers are in the first bus, coordinators and Kage in the second))
  24. Doesn't really matter. I'm skipping to the next day anyway. Yes and yes. All classes are mandatory but in the second year everyone has different classes and free periods when others don't.
