  1. Dobby is making it sound 10 times worse. @The guy above me who ninja'd me: I just have to finish his appearance and I'm done. Also I didn't make a sexist, misogynist or anything like that.
  2. I'm finishing things up so it shouldn't take too long. Oh and if my character gets picked; sorry to all female characters in advance. xD
  3. Dammit I had a character with a Water mono in mind. Guess I can change it since Magmortar is tempting me to pick him as my starter.
  4. It's been a long time since I read / learned anything about the Arthurian Legend so I'm a bit rusty when it comes to the subject. Aside from that I'm not going to try and find out more about Stratos's intentions as I like to get surprised. (Even as a reader if my character doesn't get picked.)
  5. Avalon is mentioned in Arthurian Legend. I think it's mentioned as the place where King Arthur's grave is. And I can't decide between going mono or not.
  6. inb4 Stratos rejects all chosen Mons! And if you start in a week, I might try to sign up. I have the time to participate in one RP as I dealt with most BS going on that kept me away from here.
  7. Ooh this looks interesting! And yes, you're nuts trying to catch them all Question: Can they evolve into a Pokémon from another type? If not, I vote Squirtle because water types.
  8. I probably won't. This doesn't feel like Ymora to me anymore and starting today I have to find a place that I can afford to rent, take my mom, brother and cats with me, and I have 4 months to do so. Oh and Stratos already put it into words what I mean by not feeling like Ymora anymore. So yeah don't expect to see me much around the RP forums within the next few months. (Unless I find something early xD). I will probably be online because it's a habit by now, but without much time.
  9. I agree, but they aren't going to do that. They completely missed their chance. In my opinion Ash should've won the Sinnoh League. He clearly showed progression and that he had learned from his previous mistakes and he traveled through 4 regions and the Orange Islands. He finally had strong Pokémon like Infernape, Sceptile and Charizard but in the end they threw a random character at him with multiple legendary Pokémon just to stop him. If Ash won Sinnoh they could've started with a new main character in Unova. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think Unova is supposed to be the first non-Japanese area so it would make perfect sense. Just think about it; all new Pokémon which had never seen before and far from other Regions? Perfect opportunity. (Not to mention that I feel like a lot of the younger fans got into Pokémon when Unova was revealed) Instead they made the biggest mistake they could and kept Ash while resetting his progress. Ash and Pikachu are the main faces so that might explain why, but it really made the 'older' fans dislike the anime. On a relative note (just because xD): Are the gym leaders still specializing in a type? I think I missed it in the wall of text if you mentioned it. And how common is it for new trainers to do that? (Mono Spartan gogogo)
  10. I completely missed it was in the rejuvenation section... I haven't played the game but I would still recommend a Ground or Fighting type. I don't know if it helps much but having a mix of special and physical attackers might be useful. (you only have special Pokes now)
  11. I would suggest a Physical Ground type. Maybe Donphan or Excadrill?
  12. Napoleon (Empoleon) - Underdark King Reigna (Nidoqueen) - Underdark Adviser Duke (Nidoking) - Underdark Commander Balthazar (Walrein) - Permafrost Adviser
  13. Actually it's not. I didn't expect this to be so hard but I really have no other choice. These past few weeks / months I haven't been in the right mindset to host (or write in general) which resulted in the point we are at now. I have thought this through and I made a decision: I quit this story. I've made too many mistakes by forcing things while I should've taken a step back a long time ago when I felt pressured. I didn't do it because I felt responsible (I still do) but I really lost the motivation to continue. Every time I tried to write I forced myself to get something up. Not only in this RP but in the others as well (YGO RP for example). This resulted in me not portraying some NPCs as I should have or they turned out completely different. And some of them received the short end of the stick and never got the attention they deserved (Alvin / Redwood). The biggest problem is that I may have started this before I was ready. The plot wasn't completely set and with RoG failing as playable I had to rework over and over again and messed up. Now, considering all the BS that already happened, I don't feel the motivation to fix it. All of this isn't fair towards the players so that's why I finally decided to just say it. I really need to take a break because a part of me is exhausted. I do get ideas but I can't seem to write them down or work them out. I already messaged Dobby and Jory and gave them the option to continue this. If they want to I will help them get started. If not I might do the same as Hukuna and Stratos did and give this another go in the future when I feel like it's ready. So I'm just going to take a break while I do something else. Like I already mentioned I still have ideas so in a few days I might open up an interest check with new projects that I'm interested in. That way I can start world building / reworking Ymora (which works refreshing for me) so I can actually do a decent job as a host. But for now I'm taking a break. I don't want to make the same mistake and rush into it again.
  14. And I failed to get something up. Again. I also noticed a huge gap in the storyline when it comes to year 2 (so I will try to fix that issue first) and when I look back I feel like I haven't reached the full potential of this story...
  15. I might do another RoG update tomorrow. I might include a character overview each time I use them to avoid confusion.
  16. What's going on with the battles? We reached the same point in the IC so I can't really move things forward. And I haven't seen Tacos around lately. Or is it still exam period?
  17. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14182 This should help you out.
  18. Quick reminder that these battles need some attention again. @Murdoc and Tacos: You two know that it's a double battle right? You can switch only once (and again after one of your Pokémon faints) and the first one that loses 2 Pokémon is out of the tournament.
  19. Duke – Nidoking (Underdark / Aggron Hills) “Groudon? I thought he was only a Legend...” Duke muttered. “It seems unpredictable things keep happening. I have King Napoleon's full authority on this so on his behalf I accept your conditions. Your men that wish to join our army will receive positions according to their skills. It would also be best to set up a meeting with our main building forces to talk about houses. I know very little about the subject but my sister mentioned once they recently started a new project. So if you agree I would like to inform King Napoleon by sending over a messenger so they can start preparations.”
  20. And just because it's fun. Maybe I should rename this RP. 'Ymora: The Slaughtering' sounds great imo.
  21. Evan (In the Forest) “Fuuuuck! How could I lose against fucking Danielle?” Evan raged. He smacked some leaves out of his way. “She has less skill and is all about popularity! So why? I would understand a loss against Henry or a field effect that would've screwed me over but AAAGH! That stupid bird is probably laughing and boosting about it... Next time I'm attacking it!” Three of his Pokémon followed him but kept their distance. “Skaaar?” Evan turned around. “I'm not mad at any of you, just at myself. I don't understand how I lost control. We had that Mawile on the ropes and even when she used that whiny Larvesta of hers...” he sighed. The boy stared at the trees surrounding him and his party when suddenly a rampaging Hydreigon came to mind. “Maybe I should go for more powerful Pokémon... Or at least some with the mindset of a fighter. It would balance out considering the nice personalities you three have. Not that there's anything wrong with that but having a battle-minded Pokémon around might chance the tides of battle in the future...” RoG A whistling sound of admiration could be heard when the unnamed prodigy and Teach entered the conference room. 7 other individuals were already waiting. The tension in the air was almost visible despite all of them being on the same side. “Look at that,” the man who whistled said. “All the big shots are gathered now! What a great atmosphere!” “Now all of us. There's still one at the Academy so technic-” “Shut up Nerd! You know what I mean!” “Nerd? Such a stereotype word to use by someone who lacks the brains to come up with a decent insult.” “You calling me stupid, woman?” “Yes. I'm relieved you picked it up so quickly. You surpassed my expectations. Congrats.” The man got up, ready to literally flip the table in his anger when another man cleared his throat. This second man was sitting at the head of the table and wore a white lab coat. His brown hair peeked to every possible direction and so did his moustache. The rings under his cold grey eyes revealed the man hadn't slept much the last couple of weeks. “Teach, K, is that another one of the Plates in that crate?” The young prodigy, K, nodded. “Plate of Ice.” Doc's eyes widened and his moustache twirled revealing a grin. “Excellent.” “Do you mind if I ask how far you've gotten with the Dark and Bug Plates?” Teach asked. “Almost done,” Doc answered uninterested. “Normally I wouldn't tell you all a word about my research but the boss demanded I bring you all up to date. I will spare the details and cut straight to the point. I doubt some of you would be able to understand if I didn't.” His eyes rested on the man who whistled earlier which earned him a growl. “The power of these Plates is far under what I expected. It is possible their power will increase if we bring all the Plates together, but if they don't, I suspect we can handle all that energy. This mission should be a success if we can locate all the Plates.” “That's great and all, but last time you didn't even know if there were 16 or 18,” the first man, Darius, spoke up. Doc raised an eyebrow and gave the man a dirty look. “That's because some of you didn't do their job properly! The documents we found aren't complete and don't mention anything about the Normal and Fairy Plates!” “Are you saying it's my fault?” a woman asked. She spoke with a soft voice and didn't have to raise her volume to get attention. “Yes, Verna, you were in charge of finding all the documents.” “I looked everywhere at the location you told me. Don't blame me for your mistakes, Doc!” Verna hissed. “Look harder. And I advice you to speak with more respect when addressing me,” the chubby professor remarked. “Drop dead.” “Yiiihaaaa here we go again! I already said this earlier but why don't we all settle the score once and for all hmm?” Darius said. “You're the weakest out all of us. You want to lose that badly?” “You picking a fight, Four-Eyes?” “First Nerd and now Four-Eyes. You really are disappointing.” This time Darius did flip the table which caused a lot of ruckus. Some yelled at him while others mumbled something but none of them made an attempt to stop him as he made his way towards the woman who had been insulting him the entire time. ((OOC: There are 9 agents present. Only 6 of them are currently talking but I only revealed 5 names. Verna (aka Mist) and Doc are high ranked admins, Teach is in charge of the new recruits, Darius is picking fights and creating a mess. The unnamed female that's been insulting Darius will be revealed later. Also K is not a mistake. That's the full name I have given the prodigy. The reason will also be revealed later.))
