    Male dorms Lucas, Jonathan, Simon and Oswald Suddenly the Geodude and Oswald fell on the floor without any warning. A few moments later, Oswald's snoring was added to the noise created by the moving appliances. It was obvious the students couldn't rely on the old man and his stone partner. They had no one else to rely on but themselves if they wanted to get out of this place. Aliah The bed moved and smacked with a loud bang against the bedroom wall. And that was not the only thing Aliah could hear; his partners croaking, the appliances, students making noise, and even that laugh were all back. Only now there was another sound added to it; running water. And a lot of it. James and Arthur The second year students looked James straight in the eye before turning away. A sad expression was clearly visible. “Kody... was a student. He got killed. Right here in the dorms.” the boy sighed. Female dorms “She's no fun at all...” Samantha mumbled, completely ignoring Wolt's protest. “You can deny all you want, Tough Guy, but I see right through your evil plans!” she poked his chest. “And what're you laughing at, Chubbs?” she asked confused. Samantha's back was turned to where Adeline was, so she missed the girl falling out the window. But Wolt and Claude had a clear vision.

    That's about right. Also the door is right in the middle of the building. There are 50 rooms on each floor. 001 starts at the left and the numbers go all the way around until room 050 (first room on the right). It's basically an apartment building like you see in the movies. So everyone on the ground floor could hear them yelling. And if you really want to go into detail with the room numbers I randomly assigned; all the female PCs are left except for Citrine and Mie who are on the right side. But that's how it is in my head. I'm not going to pick at the details, but now you know the perspective I use when I write.

    I can work with that. Now I need to get Aliah from under that bed and scare the hell out of him.

    Sooooo where is Citrine right now? Because if she's marching to the hall, she would run into Samantha, Claude and Wolt. And my plan for Aliah backfired... I never expected him to crawl under the bed...

    I would advise against completely ignoring Samantha. She's actually an important NPC that plays a bigger role later down the line. She's also not one dimensional as I actually put the most effort into her out of all the current NPCs. (Including those from the previous run) She has a reason why she believes she has to act the way she does. But I can only reveal why when the PCs actually run into RoG. Until then I'm using her to create some strange situations like she's doing right now. However I can change some slight things and mention the PCs didn't notice anything, just for the sake to show she's not one dimensional like you think. Because out of all the characters present, Emberly is the only one who can 'force' her to show another side just by being there. While I expect Mayanna to be the one who might understand and 'change' her when her backstory is revealed. The only reason I haven't made anything know about her yet is because I have no idea what I already want to be known and what I want to keep a secret. At this point being vague is what I'm going for.

    I don't think I told you what's really happening. The Rotom is not the problem so throwing Oswald at it isn't going to help.

    That's the only side you're going to see from her for at least the first 2-3 chapters. Basically she replaced Alvin whom I had plans for and an entire backstory but never got to it. A part of the reason is that I have to do some more research on a certain subject that's a big part of her backstory and I don't want to mess it up from the start. And I like to annoy people

    In that case it wouldn't really have much influence. Anyway the update is up so you can react to it if you want.

    Male dorms Simon, Lucas, Jonathan “Dang it!” A boy with black hair cursed as soon as the door shut behind Lucas, Jonathan and Simon. “Now we can't get out of here. Come on, we need to find shelter, follow me and stay quiet!” James, Arthur A little further down the hall, another second year student heard James make a ruckus and silently made his way towards him. He approached the boy from behind and placed a hand on his mouth. “Shht!” he hissed. “Do you want to get taken or something?” A small bundle of light fell on the second year's face and revealed he was wearing a hoodie. Most of his face was covered but he had a concerned look. A pluck of blond hair stuck out and almost reached his eyes. “Let's go, it might come here now,” he said and dragged James away without wasting any time. They walked a little further down the hall and reached Arthur's room. “Great! Another idiot! You come as well, newbie, before we all disappear!” He pointed towards the door across them and went inside. “Stay quiet and hide behind the couch. I'm pretty sure this dumbass's yelling attracted Kody,” he pointed towards James. Aliah Suddenly everything went quiet. Too quiet. The previous sounds of students whispering, fumbling an yelling were all gone. Even the appliances seemed to make no noise even though they were still moving around. And a cold breeze started to blow around. Female dorms “It's me of course, silly! Who else?” the red head yelled back at the shouting girl. Right at that moment she felt something tug her sleeve and looked down. “A Sneasle! Where did you come from?” she asked the dark-type. Her eyes followed his gestures and a wide grin formed on her face. “Louie, go grab those boys,” she ordered her Chimchar. The fiery monkey was all too happy about having something to do and rushed over to Claude and Wolt. The boys were met with a loud greeting from the Chimchar saying its own name, before the little monkey grabbed them by the shirts and lead them to his trainer. The red head, still grinning, turned back to where she figured Citrine was. “I found some boys trying to peek at our maiden bodies! Oh, whatever should we do?” she yelled, adding a dramatic tone like she was a bad actress in a third rate movie. She even placed the back of her hand against her forehead, pretending she could faint any moment.

    She's standing in the doorway at the entrance. She's basically yelling inside, but you can hear her outside as well since the doors aren't closed. If you post now I might miss it because I already finished the female dorm side, I still have to track down all the male characters though.

    Well it doesn't matter too much. If you still want to talk that's fine, but I'm going to start writing an update so I want to know if I need to include them.

    Did the Lucas group actually enter the dorms yet? Because Cyaloom mentioned male dorms but I don't see anything that indicates they're close or entered.

    Well the Rotom part should be obvious but not for the PCs. And no, that's not all that's happening. Yes, happened off camera like Hukuna said when I paired everyone up. She's more like Phoebe though. And she's not a natural red head. The doors that lead to the exits are shut. The ones on the inside are open and can't be closed. (Windows are shut as well. You can only enter, but not leave) Loud enough for the entire first floor and everyone close outside to hear her. Especially if the window happens to be open or there's a certain Pokémon around with excellent hearing.

    Boys dorm Despite being the first day, everything seemed to happen in a rush at the boys dorm. All the older students were whispering and looking around with a worried expression on their faces. Some looked even scared. “Hurry up!” “Let's go! It might show up any moment!” “It's too soon. Calm down.” “I hope it doesn't show up...” “How much longer do we have?” None of them stopped to have a friendly conversation. Instead they just rushed by everyone, creating an uneasy atmosphere. Things kept going like that for a while until suddenly all the lights went out. The dorm went pitch black as even the sunlight didn't seem to able to pierce through the windows. Before the students could recover and get used to the sudden darkness, all doors flew open, except the exits. The doors and windows all slammed shut and didn't budge. There was no way out, only in. And soon the students realized they were trapped inside and the chaos started to unfold. “Aaagh it's here!” “No! It can't be! It's too soon!” “HIDE!” The older students all rushed into the closest room they could find. They didn't even stop to apologize if they ran over someone else. Suddenly a loud and creepy laughter could be heard all over the place all electrical appliances started to come alive and make noise. Girls dorm Unlike the boys dorm, everything was rather quiet at the girls dorm. A lot of students were going in and out and meeting up with friends or family. There were a lot of soft voices carried around by the wind and, in some cases, giggling. There were no signs of anything that would disturb the peace until a certain red head arrived. On her shoulder sat a rather excited Chimchar that was making a backflip every few steps the girl took. The girl seemed to share the same excitement as her Pokémon because as soon as she was a few meters from the door, the peace was gone. “WOOOOOO! This place is humongous! HOUSE PARTAAAAY!!!!!” she yelled as she slammed the door open. “Who'se ready to heat things up?”

    @Exlink: You know you're sending your character to the girls dorms, right? So when I do the next update (and you still go that way), you can choose to be involved in what I've planned or not. But don't suddenly pop up at the boys dorm. (unless that was your intention)

    Male are north-east while the female dorms are east / south - east. I've been too busy to update today so I'll start some dorm events tomorrow after work.

    I have no idea. I think I saw it spelled with -ey somewhere and was like 'oh like that' and ever since I've been using it. Or I read it wrong the first time is also a possibility. Same thing with Citrine / Luna. I keep forgetting her real name since I'm used to Citrine.

And a quick overview in case something is not clear: Males Claude (Dobby) and Wolt (EXLink) → Room 029 Kage (Murdoc) and James (Azery) → Room 016 Robert (Turbo) and Aliah (Chalice) → Room 040 Arthur (Author) and Simon (Bagel) → Room 025 Jonathan (K_H) and Lucas (Cyaloom) → Room 041 ??? and Matt (NPC) → (RoG) room 117 (they will be introduced later) Females Emberley (Hukuna) and Adeline (Tacos) → Room 018 Citrine (Commander) and Mie (Hiss) → Room 035 Mayanna (Stratos) and Helene (Hilda) → Room 002 Samantha (NPC) → Room 123 (won't be sharing a room with PCs, she will be introduced soon)

    The long waiting finally paid off. Most excited first years already left the Main Building in order to explore the rest of the facilities that the Academy had to offer. One of the students whose patience was tested the most, Luna, finally received the second key with number 035 on it. The first keycard was already given earlier to a shy girl named Mie. At the same time in one of the Boys Dorm lines, James managed to get his hands on his Pokédex as well as his keycard. His room was number 016 and, just like Luna, his roommate was much earlier than him. It was a good thing for Kage that all the numbers were imprinted so he didn't have to rely on Lucas this time. All he had to do was feel with his fingers. One by one most keycards starting with the numbers 0 and 1 were handed out, except for room 029. Both Claude and Wolt belonged to the group of late first years, even if it wasn't entirely by choice. But right now both students stood next to each other as they saw their respective administrators reach for the same keycards.

    I agree with Hukuna on this one. It's perfectly fine for people to get involved with other bystanders to create more interaction. If everyone focused on the one or two characters in the spotlight, it would just pile up for those players, while there are multiple other characters available. Also it's perfectly fine to go explore the rest of the domain. I gathered everyone so PCs could meet each other, but I didn't say anything about staying at the same place.

    I'll do the others soon. I've just got to go out for a little while but it would be a waste if I didn't post this first. After all, not all PCs get their keycards at the same moment.

    The wheels of faith already started to spin. At least for those who belief that everything that happens in life is already planned by something, or someone. Others belief that you determine your own fate by the actions you take. But no matter who beliefs in what, one thing was certain. Important bonds were starting to form right now. Bonds that could easily save someone's life in the future. The one thing that couldn't be denied was the amount of first years arriving early. It was a common sight each year that the keycards with the lowest number were handed out at a rapid rate. Older students knew from experience how impatient new students were so they often waited a bit and decided to meet up with their friends first before going for their keycards. One of the most impatient ones, and might've made a new record, was Simon. His keycard with Number 025 on it, was the first to be handed out. If the boy only hadn't teleported and shown some patience, he would've met a boy with a Larvesta on his arm; Arthur. His roommate for possibly the next three years. Another impatient young man, Jonathan, managed to finally get his keycard at the exact same time as the boy at the desk on his right. If only either of them caught a glimpse of the keycard their respective administrators grabbed, they would've seen that they shared room 041. However faith works in mysterious ways as the second boy, Lucas, was forced to follow his Gastly. However, said Gastly had managed to find their new neighbour. Aliah, holding keycard 040, wasn't that far from Robert. Unfortunately the boy had no idea that his new roommate was starting a commotion as he only just received his keycard at the same moment everything started. But what he could see, was that he got the second card, meaning his roommate was probably still in the same building. The other student who managed to fall on her very first day, Adeline, was more lucky. Somehow she had managed to trip right in front of her future roommate; Emberley. Coincidence? Or faith? The only thing the two girls knew was that Adeline's keycard with number 018 was lying in between them, clearly visible for everyone to see. Just as it was Emberley's turn to registrate... This included the third girl, Helene, who just received a keycard with 002 inscribed. The other key of that pair was already picked up a few minutes earlier by a girl named Mayanna. In fact the same administrator had handed out both keys and mentioned this to Helene. She could've heard the man if she wasn't too distracted by her Pancham's actions.

    That's fine. I have some time to update but since all 15 players posted, it's going to take a little longer. I'm just going to mention your keycard number, nothing too big for now.

    Citrine was rather easy to pair up. Same for Claude. The only annoying thing is that I have to keep close eye on who I already gave a room so that PCs can actually run into each other eventually.
