  1. I agree with Bagel on this one. And I thought a discussion in here was allowed because it's called General Discussion. My bad. So where do I take my problems with people being attacked directly? Or do I need to stick my head in the sand like everyone else?
  2. If that is the only point you get out of that post... We haven't seen your player for the entire week except for one day. Exams are, in my opinion, a reasonable excuse to delay one Pokémon battle. Especially if you have an entire week. But as I said, that's not my problem. Why take it public?
  3. Not if he didn't get the time to make a team. The time you're reffering to was when he just started building. Right now he only has 4 mons and genuinly got interrupted. But if we're going by that rule: Exlink should be subbed as well. However that was not my problem. My point was: you don't attack / call out a player in public. None of you knew his circumstances. You could've easily PM'd every single committee member to show Bagel was ready. Or you could've contacted Jericho who could easily ask Spine personally. Instead you take it public. Why? To get all the upvotes? To call Spine out for something that was out of his control? (the interruptions) This is what I call being disrespectful. And I may as well add something else: On the topic of Seccy telling Hoehe to stall the battle: Not true. In fact I was the one who misunderstood Void and said that Skitty should be subbed as well. I was under the impression Skitty was unable to battle in the beginning of the week. After that Jericho posted her availability that gave us no guarantee the battle could actually happen. So I blatantly said Skitty and Void should get the same treatment and get a double substitute. I withdrew my statement once Void said he was the one who wasn't able to battle at all and that Skitty had been waiting. Seccy only got involved when Hoehe found out he had to play. The only thing she said was to take his time and play when he felt confident and had time to test his team. Because let's face it. I heard Skitty is one of the best battlers around so anyone would go in well prepared. And I think most of Avalon figured this week was going to be difficult and losing was quite possible. So there was never a reason for us to avoid anyone. Nations only just started and there are more battles to come. So what if we lose one week? But yet again Secundum gets attacked as soon as she posts something, gaining multiple upvotes. I saw this in the beginning of Nations as well when Rupe found it necessary to attack her at every available option, even when she wasn't around. And again multiple people start to upvote. Now I may not know much about things that went on on the server, but this looks to me like targeting a single person. No matter what happened in the past, targeting people in a friendly competition is not ok. (This is also the reason I reacted to Jelly in the first place.) I would be fine with it if people were laughing with Avalon in general. Or if they are good friends talking trash back and forth. Hell, I'm the first one there to laugh at it and get involved if it's for fun. I'm all for it. But calling people out in public / attacking them at every change they had? That's ruining the fun for others. Sorry, but I thought Reborn was a friendly and open community. Clearly I was mistaken. And the people upvoting such posts... I got 0 respect for them. I may be wrong here but this is the impression caused by certain people to an outsider like me.
  4. Starters: Feraligatr + Sinnoh trio Eeveelution: Vaporeon Gen 7: Litten
  5. Sinnoh has the best starters but it's tied with Unova... Sinnoh: - Infernape - Staraptor - Garchomp - Roserade - Gyarados - Drapion Reserves: Gastrodon / Toxicroak Unova: Sadly my starter would fall in love with the opposite gender and fly away into the sunset. So I would be left with: - Haxorus - Krookodile - Excadrill - Jellicent - Bisharp - Galvantula Reserves: Conkeldurr / Amoonguss / Volcarona / Cofagrigus / Seismitoad
  6. Just making sure that anime logic doesn't work. And as far as I'm concerned sand-attack only works on the eyes so didn't do anything against Titan. But I doubt you would use a useless move...
  7. Route 2, Main Path - "The Top Percentage!" – Brendan When the Snarl hit its mark Brendan knew this battle was going to be annoying to deal with. Titan was too slow to dodge most attacks and that cat could keep attacking from a distance. But if he could lure it in… “Close the distance and keep using Rock Blast! Make sure that Purrloin can’t keep running.” The Roggenrola nodded once before hopping in place and shooting a rock every time he was in the air. By doing this the duo tried to keep the Purrloin within boundaries as Titan kept jumping higher until he reached his unimpressive maximum height.
  8. 2 questions: 1) Titan can't see so how effective would sand-attack be? 2) His ability is sand force. Kicking up sand should increase his Rock Blasts or can't I use it like that?
  9. Route 2- Main Path- "The Top Percentage!" – Brendan “Great job, Titan!” Brendan cheered when the Starly went down. He didn’t expect the plan to go this smooth. The quick victory slightly boosted the duo’s confidence and when Mittens appeared, Titan immediately had his focus on the dark cat. “Careful buddy, this will be a whole other match,” Brendan warned. He bit his lip slightly, for just a second, and decided on a tactic. This was his first time facing a Purrloin and just like the Starly, it looked fast and agile. But this time there was no clear type advantage. “Rock Blast, now!” This time the attack was more of a test to see exactly how the Purrloin moved rather than restricting its movement and speed. But that didn’t change the speed the rocks flew at the dark type, hoping to catch it off guard.
  10. Route 2- Main Path- "The Top Percentage!" – Brendan The Starly’s counterattack came as a nice surprise for Brendan. He didn’t expect the small bird to fly like that after encountering Titan’s rocks just once. Or maybe it was acting on instinct? Either way Brendan finally started to enjoy a real trainer battle. This was how it was supposed to be. However his facial expression didn’t change. Like usual when he was in a competitive environment, he kept his expression neutral with a slight frown and his attention completely focused on the battle. A habit he had ever since he started playing catcher. It was fine if his heart was racing and a storm blew through his abdomen and stomach, but his thoughts needed to be clear. No use in getting swept away by emotions and lose because of it. A feeling he was all too familiar with. Since his original plan to keep the Starly from using his speed didn’t really work, Brendan was forced to try something else. A flying type’s maneuverability was only troublesome if it remained in the air. But if it willingly flew close to the ground… “Use Harden and wait for impact! Then tackle it to the ground!” Titan’s rocky exterior glanced in the small light the sun still provided as the Roggenrola waited eagerly to smack that Starly into the ground.
  11. Route 2, Main Path - "The Top Percentage!" – Brendan The amateur pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. He was glad it would be a more or less fair battle, but these kids were ridiculously annoying. And it as just his luck the most annoying one challenged him with a Starly. Brendan decided to ignore their behavior. Trash talking was never his style even when he still played competitive baseball. Some of his teammates did it frequently, but Brendan was never tempted to join them. Besides, he didn’t really understood this entire short-fetish the kids seemed to have. In the meantime Titan had hopped over to the battlefield. His attention was already on the Starly. “Don’t let him make any speed, Rock Blast!” Multiple rocks were sent flying towards the little bird in a way to make it harder for the Starly to fly in a straight line and gain extra speed.
  12. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-ou-56743 I won against Wolf. GG to him.
  13. Route 2, Main Path - "The Top Percentage!" – Brendan “Turning back now seems like a waste,” Brendan said. “We told the others we would meet up with them. And besides we knew there would be battles along the way.” The battle noise that actually reached them, made Brendan relax a little for now. If he could find an opponent around the same level and with the right intentions, he would accept the challenge. Titan could use the training and Arceus knew Brendan was in dire need of more experience.

  15. Route 2 – Brendan Brendan was torn for a moment between following the path and cutting through the forest. A part of him really wanted another team member but the memory of Titan being blown back was still too fresh. Right now his priority was training his Roggenrola. “I’m going with Jason,” the young trainer declared, releasing his partner and pretending he never saw Jason's finger guns. Hopefully the trainers were around his level so he wouldn’t have to use all his newly bought potions. After all the trouble they had been through so far, a fair and equal battle was all Brendan wished for.
  16. Same for Brendan. And Jory: it's cool. Just take the time you need.
  17. I think it's best if an experienced person becomes leader. And iirc Sapphire was a leader in the first Nations. So I vote for her.
  18. Lana screamed in agony when Riley started to burn her eye. Or was she cutting it? There was no way for her to release what exactly was going on. The only thing she felt was intense pain. It even overshadowed the slumbering fear that was always present. “N-No, w-wh-“ she managed to stutter when she saw her eye on Riley palm. Fear immediately welled up from within her stomach to her chest and soon engulfed her entire body. Lana struggled as hard as she could in an attempt to break free but it was useless. And soon the screams came again when Riley started to torture her again. But this time it didn’t last long before Lana couldn’t hear her own screams anymore. She had lost herself to the darkness. She didn’t even know if she fainted or her powers came back to surface. It told her to lose herself, to accept the fear and fight back. Because no one was going to come and save her. She was on her own with no choice left but to give in into the hatred and make this bitch pay.
  19. Inb4 Brendan is revealed to be working for LD and runs away with all the Pokéballs. End of story.
  20. Pikachu: I will never recognize it as a starter. I refuse to play Yellow because that annoying rodent is forced upon you. I dislike Pikachu in general. I get it's the mascot but they really need to stop forcing it on the players every chance they get. Blaziken: Fuck this thing. I don't like it's design or anything about it. I don't get the hype around it either. It's just a chickenhead on legs who got a strong ability. That's it. I tried to pick it once, named it Nuggets and boxed it after I got two other mons. I also found it ridiculous when they introduced it as the first mega. Why? There are so many other and better Pokémon. Delphox: Biggest disappointment ever made. I was really hyped when they released Fennekin and I hoped for a fire / psychic along the lines of Ninetales. Instead they put a stick in its ass and called it a mage. I can't stand it. I gave it a go in Reborn and started a new run after it evolved because I just couldn't stand it. Every time I used it in battle, the disappointment came back. Btw I also could place Charizard here for all the bullshit it got and how GF went out of their way to make it good. It does not need 2 mega evolutions -.- But I figured 3 votes were enough.
  21. Accumula Town- Pokemon Center- Brendan Brendan reluctantly placed Titan’s Pokéball in the EMT’s bag. He didn’t like giving his partner to a random stranger, especially after what just happened. But he also knew Titan needed the treatment. It didn’t stop him from eyeing the man until he was out of sight. After hearing the woman’s story, he sighed. Somehow she was really annoying. “Look, we get it, alright? It’s not like we’re going after that guy so we can boost our ego. All my friends meant is that we need to get stronger no matter the circumstances. Since we’re travelling trainers and he’s robbing Pokécenters, there is a very big chance we might run into him again. And from what you’ve told us I doubt he’s going to let us walk if he sees us next time. Running away won’t help, facing him as we are right now is out of the question so that leaves us with very little options.” His tone matched his annoyance and Brendan finally gave in to his anger. “So if getting stronger won’t help us get away from him, what are we supposed to do? Open our arms wide and tell him to give us his best shot? Run away so he can take us out one by one? Call you for back-up and hope you miraculously appear on time? Because by the looks of it you’re all doing a very good job to prevent things like this from happening. Instead of treating us like little kids, why don’t you go and catch some of them? Because maybe, just maybe, that might save our asses later.”
  22. Regaining consciousness went slowly for Lana. She felt the bruise pulsating were the book had hit her, but the pain was dull. Probably because she was still dazing and hadn’t regained her full senses yet. Until she heard Riley’s voice. “What did y-“ Lana"s voice stopped working halfway when she realized she couldn’t move. “What’s going on?” she protested while trying to free herself from the belts. She immediately began to panic when she noticed her surroundings. A dark, unknown room with nothing in it but a psychopath as a companion. Fear began to spread through her entire body as she finally faced Riley. “Why are you doing this? And what did you do to Miss Natalie?”
