Accumula Pokecenter - April 6th, 2863, 3:00 PM – Brendan “They were afraid of him,” Brendan said. His seat was placed so that he could still see the counter where not long ago Titan received treatment. His face rested on his folded hands while his gaze was focused on the floor right in front of him. “He pretty much called them trash and a waste of time… Almost like he was forced to take them with him against his will. He was definitely in charge but I don’t think they actually work for him but under his command.” Brendan never made eye contact with anyone while he spoke. But the tone in his voice carried a certain disgusted feeling towards the Luminous Dawn members.

Chill out. Chapter 2 literally started in the middle of the night for me. I only just had time to read everything in the IC...

Sorry but I'll have to drop out. I did read the update but I completely forgot to reply. And after that hiatus I just don't remember much of what's going on and what I wanted to do with Joey. Not to mention I'm really struggling / getting annoyed with writing lately.

Lana’s shoulders tensed up when Natalie suddenly embraced her. She did not hold the girl back, being stunned by the reckless action. The darkness still surged around and Lana could clearly see how her opponent fell prey to her fear. But in the back of her mind she wondered why Natalie was this close to her. She closed her eyes when the redhead’s tear fell onto her shoulder. So this was it? This was as far she could go? She felt disappointed and sad at the same time. Surely Natalie would plant a knife made of ice in her back any moment now. And there was nothing Lana could do about it. Her reaction time was delayed by the sudden embrace. Lana’s guard was down and that would be the end of her. No more fighting and standing up to protect people she didn’t really know. Which was so unlike her. Deep down Lana always felt she had to change. Be more social and open so she could make more friends and have fun instead of being by herself most of the time. But none of that mattered anymore. "Just remember, you chose this." What? Lana’s eyes widened in shock as Natalie was gone. For the second time in a handful of seconds the redhead managed to shut down Lana’s body by taking unexpected actions. And for the second time she was forced to watch how the frozen blade impaled one of her new found friends. Lana started moving, far too late, towards the Eye of Hope. She heard everything the girl said to Haley and immediately realized her mistake. She had been too forceful when trying to stop Natalie. Hell, she even ignored her mother’s advice not to trust creepy strangers. “We have to stop her!” she yelled in panic while looking around to see if others were around to help. Without really knowing what to do, and confirming Arturia would survive, her feet automatically ran towards the same direction as the Eye of Hope

Lana Some things Natalie said were certainly true. Lana did not know the Eye of Hope and wasn’t sure she could be trusted. But right now that didn’t matter. Natalie was the one trying to kill Haley, Arturia and her. She had no choice but to fight. “You’re the one that’s trying to kill us with that sword. You gave me no choice but to stop you,” she said, a little louder then she normally would. The darkness surrounding her intensified, powered up by Lana’s own fears. She was afraid of this girl and afraid she would get killed. After all she had no idea what she was doing. Or how to stop the ice sword from impaling her own heart. Her only option was to rely on the help of the two girls behind her. If they could outnumber Natalie, chances were they would survive this. And for that purpose alone Lana refrained from making the first attack. Not until she was absolutely sure she had backup that was ready to fight.

Accumula Pokecenter - Mysterious Explosion! Pokemon Center Panic! – Brendan The battle went surprisingly well when the first opponents went down. Or maybe it only felt that way because Boss Hog managed to slap all of them around on his own. Brendan sighted in relief and the tension in his shoulders slightly died down. “Good job Titan,” he complemented his Roggenrola while studying the battlefield. Most opponents were already engaged with his allies which meant he couldn’t use rock blast without serious risks. And then there were Loam and Mio who were trusting Titan enough to keep any electric types away. But for now those weren’t the main threats. Magnemite and the first Voltorb were already down and the second one was too close to Leonidas. Titan would never make it in time with his speed. “Alecks, can you help out Jack? I’ll keep that Whismur occupied.” Brendan quickly glanced at his traveling partner and for the first time really saw the girl next to him. He had no idea what her name was but the two seemed to make a good combo. If they could help Jack and protect the Audino, they could create a number advantage. All Brendan and Titan had to do was stall the attack-boosting Whismur. “Titan, use rock blast again on the Whismur.” The tension in Brendan’s shoulders immediately skyrocketed when he studied the Whismur’s trainer. She had handled Loam with ease before so there was no telling what she could do against Titan. Hopefully this wasn’t a second Watchog battle all over again.

Accumula Pokecenter - Mysterious Explosion! Pokemon Center Panic! – Brendan Brendan didn’t hesitate when he saw the men in black. He immediately released Titan and chose his opponent carefully. Since Jack was covering for the Audino, the amateur decided to back up Jason instead. Both Pokémon seemed to be in trouble, but while Rascal was only fighting one enemy, Gomez had to deal with two. “Titan, use Rock Blast on the Porygon. Be careful not to hit Gomez!” The Roggenrola listened carefully to the ongoing battle and as soon as his ally knocked the Porygon away, the normal type was targeted by a barrage of flying rocks.

Lana She was going to stop Nathalie? How? And who the hell was this strange new girl? So many questions fluttered around Lana’s mind but none of them mattered right now. None of them had the answer how to help Haley and Arturia. The only action she could take was to trust a stranger’s words. Normally Lana would second guess her decision and ask for more information but she had no time to lose. Without putting up any resistance she repeated the girl’s words. “In the frightening dark With sheer force of will Through the furious storm And the might to overcome any obstacle Lend me your power That I may free myself" Immediately after she said the last word a dark shadow formed on the ground beneath her feet. The shadow climbed up from her feet like a twin-headed snake, covering her legs and climbing straight to her neck before moving on to her shoulders and from there they disappeared in Lana’s fingernails. Along the way the shadow snakes changed her outfit completely and left black tattoos on her arms and legs in the pattern of a fury. Her entire outfit had become much darker. She wore now a sleeveless black dress that reached her ankles with slits at both sides that start right above her knees. The edges around her shoulders, slits and the bottom were all dark blue with slight hints of white in between. Even her black leather boots had the same blue markings. Unlike the rest of her outfit, her belt had silver edges. The only other place were that color was represent was at both her shoulders where two silver fury line patterns ran down till her waist. Her fingernails, where the shadow snakes disappeared into, were now colored in a deep black. However Lana had no time to admire her new dress. She had no idea what she was supposed to do but already found herself moving towards Nathalie, like she was being dragged into the confrontation.

Accumula Town – Rest and Relaxation – Brendan “Wait a sec,” Brendan replied to Jason. After buying his healing items, the rookie trainer had been struggling with closing his bag. Just when he finally managed to put his new items away, the fight continued. This time he had to adjust the straps. When Jason came back, Brendan gave him a sheepish grin. “Sorry about that. My packing skills are as good as non-existent. I bought four Potions, two Burn Heals, two Antidotes and a Paralyze Heal.” He summed up. “I literally had to use my foot to get everything away right before you came over… Anyway nothing much happened. I almost got run over by a van but that’s about it. Lana The brunette had trouble trying to keep up with Arturia. In her hurry to not be left behind, her kneecap came into contact with the edges of the table’s leg she was sitting at. Pain surged through her entire knee with every step she took and slowed her down considerably. When she finally caught up with the two girls, her eyes widened in shock at the scene in front of her. Haley was stabbed through the heart by the rude girl from before and suddenly Arturia changed. Or whatever the hell it was. “W-what’s going on?” Lana finally managed to stutter.

Accumula Town – Rest and Relaxation – Brendan “Yes please,” Brendan said politely. He recalled Titan in his Pokéball and placed him in the tray before handing over his Trainer ID. “It’s just my Roggenrola,” he smiled, glad with his decision to heal up Titan first before going to some kind of rally. He also had to buy a few extra potions, but maybe it was a better idea to meet up with the others first.

Lana was relieved when the situation seemed to be solved so quickly and focused on her book again. She hadn’t even read a full sentence yet, when Haley said something weird and knocked over her seat. Lana could only watch in surprise how quickly the girl left. Did something happen? Her eyes briefly met Arturia’s as she also followed Haley. If the girl was in trouble she at least had to try and help.

Accumula Town – Rest and Relaxation – Brendan The young trainer casually made his way towards the Pokécenter. He released Titan and walked side by side at the rock type’s pace. Brendan enjoyed to be on his own every now and then just to clear his head. And Arceus knows he needed some alone time after that Watchog battle. Every few steps he glanced for a few seconds at Titan. So far all battles had proven to be challenging because their opponents had more speed and agility. Just hurling rocks at them wasn’t going to help forever. Brendan bit his lip but no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t come up with a solution to help out his partner. Titan didn’t notice his trainer’s doubts. He curiously absorbed all the sounds he heard and turned around every so often he heard something interesting. But he too had his doubts. His energy wasn’t and stamina still wasn’t back completely. The more he hopped around, the more it tired him out. That Watchog sure had done a number on him. If it wasn’t for the eviolite he would’ve been knocked out. And Titan was aware of it but he didn’t want to make Brendan worry. The only thing he could do was keep going. The last couple of meters before they reached their destination, Brendan picked up Titan and carried him into the Pokécenter. He patiently waited until his turn came to heal up his partner.

Route 1 – Routes of Hazzard Epilogue – Brendan The win had left a bitter taste in Brendan’s mouth. He didn’t join in when Jason started to cheer and instead kept his eyes on the defeated Watchog. This entire situation felt wrong to him no matter how he looked at it. In the end, right before they left, Brendan had managed to get close to one of the Patrat’s to hand over his last Oran Berry. He hoped the rodent would grand him his request to give it to his fallen comrade who had lost a tooth because of Brendan’s inexperience. It was never his intention to hurt a Pokémon like that, not even a wild one who was used to far worse. Hopefully the Oran Berry could serve as small apology. Accumula Town – Entrance to Route 1 – Brendan The young trainer raised an eyebrow after seeing the video message. Certainly the woman had a point when it came to certain aspects of her speech, but the way she went about it was completely wrong. Brendan couldn’t shake the feeling she wanted to start a riot. “Maybe she’s rich or she had some like-minded sponsors,” he said to Mio before turning to Jack. “How exactly do you want to ‘dig’ into her private business and find out information? If she really is doing this for the wrong reasons, I don’t think she has a flyer lying around that tells us exactly where she gets the money and Pokémon from. And I’m pretty sure she’s skilled enough to dodge the question if you ask her straight up.” That was all Brendan had to say about this situation. He couldn’t stop feeling bad about the Patrats and certainly didn’t feel like getting involved into a bigger mess. Besides healing up Titan was his number one priority right now. “I’m heading to the Pokécenter. Titan is my priority right now and I might pass by the Mart as well. I’ll message Jason to meet up later.” Brendan left with a small see-you-later sign and proceeded to an information board in order to find out the Pokécenter’s location.

Routes of Hazzard – Final Stretch – Brendan Brendan was already on his way to heal up Titan after Hog’s last attack. Even with the boosted defense the rock type had sustained a lot of damage. “Thank you Professor Juniper for the Eviolite,” the young trainer mumbled while using his second potion of the day. “Or else we would’ve lost a long time ago. Titan didn’t move. He had failed to stop the Watchog twice now. First he was unable to stand up for his trainer’s idea to negotiate and now he was blown back hard. Even his strongest asset, defense, was useless in this battle. His pride as a Roggenrola was hurt. He knew that many people looked down on rock types due to their weaknesses running around everywhere, but still he was proud to be a wall. Proud of his strength. Even if it meant going down swinging against opponents like Gomez. And now this Watchog was smacking him to every corner of the battlefield like it was nothing. Not acceptable. Titan moved immediately after Brendan’s potion worked its magic and hopped over to Lara. He would hold down these vines with all his power, even if it meant getting knocked out. I have no idea what to do now. Did that librarby thing end or not?

Fast psychic types that hit hard. Simple Swoobat can do a lot of damage to her team. My strategie was very simple. First turn I had Swoobat and Delphox out and I attacked with both of them Aya's most threatening mon. I kept doing that and everything went down easily. Only the Drapion managed to take out my Swoobat but I finished it with Toxicroak. Maybe try something similar with a female Meowstic and Swoobat? Musharna can help but is much slower so prepare to take damage in return. Or you can lead with Emolga / Swoobat, set up calm minds while nuzzling her Tentacruel and proceed to sweep her.
