  5. Well there's a bit of a backstory from when I was like 6 or 7 which made me really like the desert fox. Fennekin is based on the desert fox so I was really hyped when I they revealed the starters and tbh it had top 3 favorite mons potential. But the way they decided to go with the evolution line was the biggest disappointment. I tried it out in reborn etc but no matter what I do, I can't bring myself to like any part of it. The only reason I went after the Torchic line first was because I don't like any of them while I still like Fennekin.
  6. Smh voting Chimchar while the starter that evolves in the abomination that is Delphox still lives... Also discount-torchic? Blaziken is only good as a cheap af baton pass bitch. I'll take Infernape over Blaziken any day. 11. At first I decided not to bother with this topic anymore. Bugs won, GG, let's move on. I mean, getting people who weren't playing the game involved to help your type win isn't a bad strategy if you really want to win. But it seems there are some misunderstandings aka the part I underlined. I see these statements keep coming back and I believe I told Wolfox once before the reason Fairies lost so early. You see the first 2 types to be targeted were in fact Steel and Dragon. Iirc the first 5 people who voted never touched Fairy aside from healing them. Until Hycrox and Alistair hurt fairies twice in a row and immediately got a reaction about it. After that Fairy got hurt by a few more people including Azery and myself (once). Now 2 of those players clearly stated Fairy is their least favorite type and by the looks of it Alistair doesn't like them either. Add to those 3 myself (Fairy is my least favorite type and I would've downvoted it every single time) so at the very start Fairy would gain a -8 from people who genuinely hurt their least favorite type which is one of the goals in this game. Yet every 2-3 pages there is an unnecessary (salty?) remark about how unfair it was Fairy got eliminated that early and people 'ganged up' on it. Sorry to burst your bubble but if a type is disliked by multiple players, there's a high chance they'll die early. Get over it. You got your revenge by eliminating the types you didn't like instead of comparing the 'playstyle' of every type and how they compare to Fairy. This was a genuine elimination because, let's be real, who would make an effort to 'gang up' on a type 2 days in the game? It's also funny that the term 'slayed overnight' is used since that's exactly what happened to Ghost. Because Jess gathered some people to support Bugs + getting help from others who genuinly like Bugs, the type had a serious advantage. Now I already stated that this was the exact reason I went after Bugs earlier than I would've done normally. I wanted to eliminate them but they got too much support so I downvoted them which is also a solid strategy. Now to move on to the main point: - Alistair mentioned this before but there are people who would scheme to take down (or heal) the favorite types. If a type stands out too much (like the points both Grass and Bug had) it's normal some people start to target it. It's like NickCrash said: "Let's bring it down to the same level". Others could've had the same thoughts. - There are those who like to give the final blow (not really a thing when it comes to Bug but still, might be a little valid) - Because the people who played together started to gang up on certain types (like ghost) they triggered a response from those that healed those types. "You hurt my type, I hurt yours" - People genuinly voting for Bug because it was their least favorite type left What some people like to call 'ganging up' on Bugs was nothing more than the result of their own actions. No one else was scheming behind the scenes or orchestrating anything. Bug stood out too much and caught at that moment the drawbacks from your strategy. You, and some other others, might not believe this especially coming from me after I already made clear what I think about you as a person but that 'ganging up' on Bugs was a genuine action from people who played the game individually. And this only happened because of your own actions. To clarify this: I was one of the first to target Bugs. But from all the people who voted at that time, the only one I talk to occasionaly is Azery. But he only started to target Bug after Ghost went down. Btw this is not only directed at Jess and Wolfox but also to others in their group who felt the same way. And finally one last thing. This one is directly to you Jess because I may have not made it clear last time I had a discussion with you. Stop with the false accusations towards people if you have no proof. It's not because you think that way that it's true. All you get from it is adding more fuel to the fire and triggering people while giving people a certain impression about you. (Oh and to clarify something: my first impression about you was when you had the dragon vs bug discussion with Hycrox. Not when you called me 'that guy' when I went after Bug.)
  12. Poor Chikorita. Just once you deserve some love. And down with chicken nuggets. Bulbasaur: 22 Charmander: 16 Squirtle: 17 Chikorita: 5 Cyndaquil: 24 Totodile: 22 Treecko: 21 Torchic: 19 Mudkip: 23 Turtwig: 20 Chimchar: 20 Piplup: 19 Snivy: 20 Tepig: 16 Oshawott: 20 Chespin: 18 Fennekin: 20 Froakie: 19 Rowlet: 19 Litten: 18 Popplio: 19
  13. @Newt Hurting is -2. Also I'm going by the list Hycrox posted so the new list should be: Ice: 3 Bug: 3 Poison: 11
  14. That's mainly because there are quite a few people here who genuinely dislike fairy type. Some may have jumped the bandwagon but even if they didn't, fairy was likely to go down early. @Alistair Don't worry about people playing together. You'll find that with almost any game people will group up in trying to take someone / something down. In a game like this it's to be expected. I also played a little 'strategy' after fairy went down. But I only did it because Bug became too popular and no one was healing electric so I changed targets. That just shows everyone has their own way of playing. Also some people are just spiteful and will start targetting what others upvote just because they can't stand that their favorite is being targeted. Nothing you can do about it so just play the game as you like. With that being said: Save the Mamo! Ice: 5 Bug: 10 Poison: 8
  15. Save the Mamo before it goes exctinct again. Grass: 5 Steel: 3 Ice: 11 Ghost: 10 Bug: 17 Poison: 13
  16. Rip grass. Grass: 7 Steel: 13 Ground: 5 Ice: 14 Ghost: 13 Bug: 18 Poison: 11 @Azeria He killed his own second favorite type. Don't expect any logic in this game lol.
  17. Grass: 17 Steel: 12 Ground: 11 Ice: 17 Ghost: 17 Dark: 3 Bug: 18 Poison: 13
  18. @Jess I don't have to justify my voting hours but I'll refresh your memory just this once. If you read the rules post 1 it clearly says we can vote once each day. I happened to be gone yesterday from 7.30AM until 11.30PM. So my vote from yesterday was after 11.30PM (closer to 12PM even). This still counts as my vote from yesterday. My vote for today happened to be around 1PM . As you can see I didn't break any rules. And if I really was that dedicated to save the types I really like, I wouldn't have forgotten about this game for 2 days in a row earlier this week. So instead of accusing people of breaking the rules, you might want to think before you post. But judging by your answer I only get the impression my first thoughts about you were correct. Therefore it's absolutely useless to try and say something to you. @Wolfox I literally only like 1 bug and that's Volcarona. At least GF went a little more original with the design. Scizor, Scolipede, Yanmega, Golisopod and Araquanid aren't bad but to they're more in the category of being ok. When it comes to bland bugs: Butterfree, Dustox, Beautifly, Vivillon, Mothim all do the same shit and are completely useless because of Volcarona. Not to mention Kricketune, Parasect, Vespiquen, Ledian, Combee, Leavanny, Wormadam, Beedrill, Forretress, Ribombee, etc they all have boring designs with nothing that makes them stand out. But that's personal taste. The only reason Bug isn't my second least favorite type is because of Pikachu and all those electric rodents wasting the potential of a decent type.
  19. @Jess: The bones on Mandibuzz actually fit. What would you want from it? A normal vulture like all those bland bugs that have nothing going for them? Also I consider edgy as a word that's overused for everything that's considered too 'dark'/emo/gothic/whatever else they see fit to abuse the word. So that's why I don't consider any Pokémon edgy. I look at what they're supposed to represent and general design as a whole. If I go through the dark type list I see mostly predators or animals that can have a bad / mischievous nature. They are also supposed to look more rough than any other type so they get things like bones, sharper teeth and claws, etc. They just follow a pattern and stick with it. Why? Because dark types in Japanese can apparently be translated as Evil which is always portrayed by using darker colors and objects people might fear or by intimidated by. I can't read Japanese for shit but the literal translations make clear why certain types are effective against each other. (Like fighting being SE vs dark which made no sense for me in the beginning.) If you want to go ahead and use the overused word edgy for it go right ahead. I won't use that term for things that are interpreted in a certain way because of society or old fantasy tales that still inspire modern day games etc. Dragon type is also the way they are because of this reason and even Fairy. Even though GF went and used the modern version of Fairies because in the original tales they weren't that nice and friendly at all. But this is starting to become a second bug vs dragon discussion so this is all I want to say about it. Also if you say things like 'I didn't say anything that isn't true' or 'all dark types are too edgy' just because you think that way looks a bit like forcing your opinion on others and not accepting anything else because you don't think that way. That's the only reason I reacted because I still consider this nothing more than a game where my favorite types are dying while I try to kill bugs. Grass: 21 Steel: 10 Ground: 12 Ice: 19 Ghost: 21 Dark: 9 Bug: 20 Rock: 4 Poison: 12
  20. Since I can't seem to use a quote... @Jess wtf? 'undeniable fact that all dark types are too edgy'? It's like @Azeria said; they follow a certain pattern when it comes to dark. For example Mandibuzz. Vultures in general have a 'dark' reputation but that doesn't make Mandibuzz edgy. Same goes for a lot of dark mons that in general are based on predators / animals that are mischievous in some folklore. Just because you don't like a certain type and feel about them in a specific way doesn't make it an undeniable fact. Grass: 21 Steel: 13 Ground: 12 Ice: 19 Ghost: 21 Dark: 6 Bug: 21 Rock: 8 Poison: 11
  21. Yo wtf I don't pay attention to this for 2 days and dark goes down? Smh people got no taste around these parts... Grass: 24 Steel: 14 Ground: 13 Ice: 23 Fighting: 4 Normal: 4 Ghost: 22 Dark: 11 Bug: 24 Rock: 7 Poison: 11
  22. True, but electric isn't being healed by 3/4 people. I'm only hurting bug before electric so they wouldn't reach 30+ points.
  23. @Jess what you mean being 'that guy'? I'm just healing my second favorite type (my favorite got eliminated) and hurting one I like the least. I've been doing that for a few days now.
  24. Grass: 30 Electric: 7 Steel: 7 Ground: 13 Ice: 26 Fight: 15 Normal: 14 Ghost: 25 Dark: 21 Bug: 20 Rock: 17 Poison: 14
  25. Grass and ice are more popular than I thought. Grass: 30 Electric: 9 Steel: 8 Ground: 15 Ice: 27 Fight: 17 Normal: 14 Ghost: 24 Dark: 21 Bug: 20 Rock: 16 Poison: 19
