    Sigurd - Frontliners Sigurd’s anger made place for shock. The two companions he thought were most like him, just shrugged and laughed off what had happened to them. To make it worse Marcus seemed to be interested in taking Orpheaus along with them. Sigurd shook his head in disbelief. “You can’t be serious, right? I mean the guy doesn’t even want to fight. He’s not a warrior. Besides, I bet he doesn’t even want to leave this village. I’ll eat my own beard if that happens!” Sigurd stared with a blank expression at Marcus. The Wind Templar was still angry, but he thought his companions felt the same way he did. Killing the Gentleman should be priority, but they acted like they didn’t care. Sigurd started to doubt he was in the right place.

    Logan hurried over towards the front entrance with Crush behind him. He had spent the last couple of minutes trying to find a decent place to train Ace, when the alarm went off. He arrived just in time to hear Lionel ask what was going on. “Ya, that’s what I like to know,” Logan said while releasing Ace from his capsule. The energetic monkey jumped around, made a backflip and saw the evolved Nefertiti. Ace crawled curious in her direction before jumping on Jory’s shoulder to take a better look. Logan sighed. "Sorry about that. Ace never takes anything serious, not even when the alarms are going off."

    Who would want to join Utopia? They're a scary bunch... And I have no idea what's happening to Eugene right now.

    The man gave a warm smile and introduced himself as Lawrence White, which caught Eugene off guard. Most people on the run would give a fake name or some kind of codename. Does that mean he’s not on the run? Or is he not afraid to get caught? Before Eugene could figure it out the man asked him some questions. “No, I don’t know him. It was something about joining them to pure the world or something, I don’t know! I don’t remember much since I tried to run away. That guy just tried to kill me after I ran away from his fri-!” Eugene’s eyes almost popped out of his head after he realized something. “There’s another one! There are at least two of them!”

    Sigurd - Frontliners Sigurd turned his face towards Marcus who had caught up with him. He wondered what the Fire Templar wanted, but before he could ask Akuma addressed him. The Birdman gave some advice before walking away. “You call us survivors? You really believe that? We weren’t even worth the dirt under the Gentleman’s footwear. He gave us the biggest insult you could get! We survived because some goddess felt pity for us!” Sigurd yelled. “Tell him I’m right, Marcus!” Sigurd said while pointing at Akuma’s back.

    Sigurd - Frontliners “I will not have you insult my village by calling my actions that off a coward. I merely drew my sword to protect myself against Bjorn, who was the first to draw his,” Sigurd said, still pointing his sword at Bjorn. He was blinded by his pride and hatred. A part of him just wanted to have a go at Bjorn and Orpheaus, but what Marcus said made sense. “It looks like you were just a waste of my time. I won’t be able to get any useful information since your survival was apparently a fluke.” Sigurd released Orpheaus and faced Bjorn. “Next time you draw your sword at me, it will be the last thing you do.” With that said he picked the nails up and walked away, furious.

    Eugene cried out in pain and surprise when the man cut his arm. His swings started to get wilder as the fear of death overwhelmed him. Suddenly there was a cry of pain and a crash. Eugene got startled and dropped his steel pipe. The darkness faded and the light blinded him for a second. He held his hands in a protective way in front of his eyes and saw a silhouette. “Are you all right?” the man asked. Eugene didn’t answer the question, but instead stepped slowly backwards. His eyes were fixated on the new arrival. This day couldn’t get any worse. Strange, powerful guys kept showing up trying to kill him. And the police was still looking for him. But this man just saved him from a certain death and didn’t seem hostile, but Eugene couldn’t be sure. For all he knew this one could be working for the government. “W-Who are y-you?” he stuttered.

    Oh sorry, I wrote that part when I was tired and it's a bit confusing now I read it back. But Sigurd was pointing his sword towards Bjorn because he was expecting an attack. He's still holding Orpheaus with one hand though, but I'll fix it in the next post.

    Sigurd - Frontliners “Put your sword away, Bjorn.” Sigurd still held Orpheaus in a firm grip. “You don’t want to fight me. Even if you’re an old man, I won’t hold back,” he said while one of his hands found his sword. At that moment Marcus interrupted. Sigurd glanced at him to see what he had to say about Orpheaus’ encounter with the Gentleman. The Fire Templar looked surprised but kept his cool. “How can you stay calm after hearing this? That bastard didn’t even consider us worthy thus insulted us as warriors. And Orpheaus here might know something to kill him!” Sigurd said while pulling Orpheaus’ armor. Without waiting for an answer, he turned his face towards the Victonari. “Think about it. Don’t you know anything about the Gentleman?” he asked while still keeping an eye on Bjorn’s movements.

    Belgium <3 The hype is crazy right now. And yes, Qatar was the worst idea ever. It's not even a football nation and it gets way too hot to play any games in the summer. Personally I think Spain or Brazil is going to win. They can basically put 2 different teams on the field. Germany usually goes far on tournaments. Uruguay is also a dark horse. Decent team and they got Suarez, Cavani and Forlan as attackers.

    After healing his partners Logan went for a little walk as he recalled the previous battle. He was content with the way Crush listened and battled, but Ace was a different story. When the ground collapsed Logan stepped back while Crush tucked into its shell, but Ace got caught because of his unnecessary movements. It would’ve worked if they were battling in the forest or something but not on a plain field. And no matter how Logan tried to form simulations, he couldn’t find a way out. The commands he was about to give, before the general interrupted, would’ve let to a one on one battle between Crush and Ryu. Logan didn't care much about the battle, but analyzing and simulating was his way to try and protect his partners in the future. “I don’t like it when you or Ace gets hurt,” Logan said to Crush who was walking next to him. “Your style suits me; focus on defensive and dish out.” He stared at Ace’s capsule. “Maybe I should focus on his speed and dodging…”

    Too bad I had a BBQ. I was enjoying that battle. Let's just ignore Ethic and continue.

    “Ace, stop and regroup!” Logan said. The monkey stopped following his opponent and made backflips towards Crush. He landed next to the turtle when Ryu launched his next attack. Wrong move. I need to get some distance with that one. “Ace, Ember! Crush, Bubble! Let’s go!” The two GAOs did as they were told and launched their attacks at Ryu. The embers and bubbles formed hot steam on impact and spread over the battlefield. Logan thought it would slow Ryu down enough to get away. “Now, split up!” Ace used his acrobatic way of moving to get closer to Eevee, while Crush ran on all fours in the opposite direction. ------------- Moves used: Crush (55%, +2 def): Bubble Ace (30%): Ember

    He would take slightly more damage than Eevee, but won't be knocked out since the bubbles are floating around. However Logan won't allow that. He's not that reckless.

    Why did you change your post? Now mine doesn't make any sense since it looks like I bunnied Eevee there. And the amount of damage done to Crush doesn't add up anymore.

    Sigurd - Frontliners Sigurd couldn’t believe the story Bjorn told him. Not only was Orpheaus able to fight one on one with the Gentleman, but he had survived the encounter. Hell, the whole village had. “You met that half-angel bastard? He completely annihilated us a while ago!” Sigurd yelled. He put his swords back and ran off towards Orpheaus, while still carrying the nails. Anger got the best of Sigurd while he looked for Orpheaus. The one-blow defeat he suffered at the hands of the Gentleman was a disgrace. It still haunted him as his pride wouldn’t allow it to happen a second time. Even worse was that someone who wasn’t even worth to be called a warrior, was able to hold his ground. In the name of Aelia, Goddess of the Wind, I will get to the bottom of this. And I will defeat the Gentleman! “Oi, you shiny bastard!” he yelled when he finally found Orpheaus. He dropped the nails and started blurring out questions. “What’s the deal with you fighting one on one with the Gentleman? He completely destroyed us, but now I hear you can fight him off? Were you holding back when you fought me or is there a trick in defeating that bastard?” Sigurd said as he grabbed Orpheaus by his armor.

    Logan was surprised by the counter-attack. By going what his opponent was yelling, he wasn’t the only one. Damn, that’s annoying. But finally, I can go with my original plan. Crush, who was still standing next to the hole, took the quick attack with ease. But Logan knew the amount of attacks Crush took, would take its toll on the turtle. Ace on the other hand wasn’t doing that well. The attack he took did a lot off damage. “Ace, mach punch Eve again!” The monkey shook its head and smashed his fist into the ground, before it started glowing and Ace dashed at incredible speed at Eevee. “Crush, spray a protective layer off bubbles between you and Ryu!” By doing that Logan secured that Ryu was cut off from his GAO and couldn’t do direct damage. ------------- Moves used: Crush (55% and Def +2): Bubble (indirect) Ace (30%): Mach Punch

    Is it alright if I let Sigurd confront Orpheaus about that battle? Or should I keep it for after? Since he's a bit hot-headed plus the overwhelming defeat in chapter 1, he won't be silent about it for long.

    Phase two? Logan thought while observing the field. He had no idea what Kenneth was planning, but he knew he had to get Ace out of there. “Crush, one more Withdraw! And Ace, get out of that hole!” Ace jumped out right before Crush got hit and was blown towards the hole. The Wartortle popped out of its shell as soon as it fell in the hole. “Crush, fill that hole with your Bubbles!” A spray of bubbles filled the tunnel Crush was in, some bubbles lingered around the entrance, but popped when Crush jumped out. The turtle looked curious inside the hole. “Ace, cover yourself in flames and hit Ryu!” It was a new fire move they had been practicing after Ace had evolved. The monkey caught flame as it started spinning towards the Riolu, leaving burn marks on the ground. --------------- Moves used: Crush (60% and def +2): Bubble Ace: (100%): Flame Wheel

    Logan stepped up, got down on one knee and whispered to his GAOs. “Ace, that Eevee is yours. Take it out quickly. Crush, focus on your defense while you take the other one out. It looks like it fights like Clint’s Rocky, so you’ll have the advantage.” Both GAO nodded and took their places on the field. Meanwhile Kenneth moved first. A small dust of sand kicked up while Eve disappeared under the ground and Ryu charged at Crush. The Wartortle got hit and fell, but it didn’t look like too much damage was done. “Crush, it’s alright, withdraw in your shell!” Crush got up and raised his defense by tucking into his shell. “Now, Ace, jump into that hole and punch Eve!” The fiery monkey’s fist began to glow as he jumped into the hole. Logan smiled. He had seen Onix doing that attack a couple of times and had made a strategy around it. Normally it involved Crush, but Logan hoped it would work for Ace as well. ------------------------- Moves used: Crush: Withdraw Ace: Mach Punch

    Eugene watched as another shady person walked over towards him. He recognized the voice as the one that had spoken earlier. While the man talked Eugene tried to gain more distance by crawling back. This guy was even scarier than the first one. Eugene opened his mouth a few times to say something back or beg for his life, but his voice was stuck. Fear took over his entire body and he felt like he was frozen again. When the ray of sunlight disappeared, Eugene didn’t move an inch. He tried to listen where the man was but he only heard his own heavy breath and his heart pounding in his chest. He would die. Right here, right now. And he had no idea why. Suddenly he felt the man breath in his neck. Eugene made a squeaky noise and tried to run away again. In his panic he fell over his own feet and hit the ground hard. His hand found something cool, as made from steel. “Come on, squirm a little. Make this fun for me.” The way the man spoke gave Eugene goosebumps. He got back up, the cold thing still in his hand. He soon realized he hand a steel pipe in his hands. He took a firm grip and started yelling, panic in his voice. “I don’t know anything about you! I have no information!” Eugene started to walk slowly backwards while wildly swinging the steel pipe around him. He didn't want to die.

    I think my internet is fixed for now. Haven't had any problems all day but that's usually when it goes wrong. And I like Chauff, That's why I have a feeling he's going to die in the war. GoT-style: kill all fan favorite characters
