  1. Eugene nodded in agreement with Allen’s statement. He was scared out of his wits and decided to walk last in the group. That way he could hide quickly before an enemy could spot him. He waited for Beetle to lead them as he looked around him, completely paranoid and nervous.
  2. Lana Lana finished her test with a sigh. There were more questions then she expected and while she did overall well, she wasn’t all too confident in her abilities. She knew she probably aced every question related to ground types, but she wasn’t familiar with the other questions about habitats. She shrugged it off, since it didn’t count as a grade anyway, and made her way towards the gym while looking for familiar faces. ******************** Alvin and Evan Alvin read through every question three times before finally closing his results. The questions about bug types were laughable and he was quite disappointed the test didn’t count. Surely he would be the number one when it came to grades. Evan on the other hand didn’t do so well. His father threw everything away that even remotely had to do with Pokémon, so he didn’t know most questions involving habitats and items. The only questions he was sure about were those about Pokémon he used to play with in the wild and those about advantages. Both students left the room simultaneously and Alvin couldn’t help but start bragging about the test. “Those questions about bug types; how easy were they? I mean, a five year old could answer those!” Evan just raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything. Alvin took the silence as a sign for him to keep talking. “I knew it! No one here appreciates the fine battle art and beauty a bug type possess. Maybe I should go complain to Professor Redwood. He needs someone who knows what he’s doing!” Alvin paused a second grasping for air and then continued. “And the rest of that test was a joke! Which imbecile doesn’t know the difference between an Occa Berry and a Charti Berry? Of course as an expert on bug types I can tell you all the differences about them. But most important is that I know which berry is suited for each bug Pokémon. I mean it wouldn’t do any good to give a Charti Berry to a Scizor, now would it?” By the time they almost reached the door Evan was already annoyed and started to lose his patience. He tried to shake Alvin off but the boy just kept following him. “I see you are intrigued by my knowledge. I bet you weren’t aware of the true beauty and power of a bug type, so allow me to enlighten you further. But first, what type of Pokémon do you train? Do you already have a bug type? No, wait, dumb question, of course you haven’t. We receive one now so why don’t you pick one? Let’s see, a Venipede might fit you. I’ve been thinking about getting one myself! Or maybe I should go for a Galvantula after all… no, no, not yet… Oh I know! A Dwebble! Perfect! Or maybe I should go for one I haven’t had much experience with like a Pinsir or a Shuckle… no, no I know! An Anorith! There are so many to choose from I have honestly no idea which one to pick. I bet you’re just as excited as I am!” At that point Evan just didn’t care anymore and wanted to throw Alvin through a wall.
  3. I don't think I mentioned this before but Evan is straight. xD wink wink Danielle And I have no idea about a team. Maybe a Cleffa or a Houndour...
  4. True, I was just saying how I picture Henry. I didn't read / remember the personalities. I feel like it helps better with the student / teacher interaction as they don't know how everyone's personality is. And at this point Henry seems the one that will always be involved somehow and also the one that would brag the most, while I picture Claude to be the exact opposite. The only one I have no clue about is James.
  5. You won't get any grades for this test. It's just something I made up along the way to keep track of everyone. I noticed some people didn't post as much as others and I want to include them again. And it makes sense for such a test to be there since they are still updating their system. But overall it would be impossible to get 100% considering some questions were about Pokémon that aren't found in every region. Unless some kind of super brain appeared who learned every single fact about every single Pokémon and items.
  6. Henry seems the one that would brag about it (and Alvin). He also underestimates the questions. I don't think he could've answered all the questions about habitats correctly. Not that it matters much but Redwood made the test so 100% (if the test was graded) would be impossible. Edit: And everyone had the same questions. It doesn't matter which program your PC is in.
  7. Day 2 After having breakfast and in some cases a work-out, the first year students gathered in the entry hall. The door on the left that was closed yesterday due to the desks being in the way was opened now. A big sign saying first years with a big red arrow showed them the way. There were 9 doors in the light colored hallway. On the left were a lot of high windows. The view showed the area between the Contest Hall and the Arena. Three battle fields could be seen surrounded by nature. Back in the hallway were only the first, fourth and seventh door open. In front of each of those doors was someone present to keep an eye on all those students. There were also 3 signs, one at each door; that showed which classroom was reserved for each program. The first classroom contained the sign with Trainer Program. Phoebe was standing there, still yawning and wishing she could sleep some more. Devin kept an eye out at the fourth door and wished every Coordinator good morning, while Rebecca just smiled politely to the future Breeders at the seventh door. If one would enter a classroom they would see a space big enough containing three classrooms. The room could be divided into three equal parts by lowering the two remote controlled fake walls. There were laptops at every desk. 4 desks were placed next to each other, forming a row. At each desk was place for 2 students. In the Trainer Program room Alvin had already taken a seat on the front row; leaving 7 empty seats. The other students took a random place. As soon as everyone sat down Phoebe, Devin and Rebecca explained in their respective classes what would happen next. Trainers “I see you all have a seat,” Phoebe yawned. “Now this is what will happen; on the laptop in front of you, you see a page where you need to type your name and class. After that’s done a test will begin. Now before you all start to panic: it’s doesn’t count for your grades. We simple want to see which knowledge you already possess and which you lack. The test is mixed with multiple choices and open questions and goes from things like type advantage and berries to a Pokémon’s habitat. Is that clear? I think so,” she said walking toward the door “I’ll be grabbing a coffee, no cheating! Or Blastoise will Hydro Pump you straight through the window!” Before she left she released her Blastoise. The water type gave her a ‘not again’ look before shaking its head. It then started to concentrate on the students. “Oh yeah, one more thing,” Phoebe said peeking into the class. “After your done just leave the classroom and head towards the gym. It’s down this hallway, you can’t miss it.” ***************************** Coordinators Devin walked around in front of the class and waited till everyone was seated. “Welcome future Coordinators,” he said. “I know you’re all eager to start your journey on this Academy and want to receive your second Pokémon soon, but before that we want to know which knowledge you all already possess. On the laptop in front of you I need you all to type in your name and class. After that a test will open. It’s not going to count for your grades. We only use these results to see which subjects need more attention during class. Some questions will be multiple choice while others are open questions. Just fill in what you think is right and after that, head out the door, go right to the gym and wait for everyone else there. Professor Redwood will hand you a second Pokémon as soon as everyone is done.” “Are there any questions? If not, you can begin,” he said before taking a seat. ********************************** Breeders Rebecca wasn’t really sure how to handle this. She wasn’t a teacher and normally she would be in the gym right about now. But due to a last minute change she drew the short straw and had to speak in front of all these students. “Well uhm… like professor Redwood mentioned yesterday, you will all receive a second Pokémon. But before that happens we need some feedback from you all. On the laptop in front of you will appear a list of questions. We want to know what exactly beginning students already know and which subjects need more attention. It helps us a lot preparing the program for next year. Some questions will be multiple choices while others are open. After you’re done just go through the door at the end of the hallway to reach the gym. Professor Redwood is waiting there and that’s where you can pick a second Pokémon.” She returned to her seat. “You can all begin. If you have questions just raise your hand and I’ll come over.” Unfortunately Rebecca had no idea a blind student was present. ((Just mention you finished the test. If you want you can say what your strong and weak points were, but I just want to gather everyone again in the gym. There are a lot of RP’ers and I need to know who takes which Pokémon without overlooking anyone))
  8. I'll start day 2 then. And I need to write down somewhere who has which Pokémon...
  9. Well if that's what you all want. If it's nothing important I'll start working on the update. I can include it sooner. You'll be battling someone soon anyway.
  10. Btw do you still need Devin to tell you that Shun is actually a girl?
  11. I'll move on to day 2 as soon as the conversation between Kage, Jacob and Ryan is finished.
  12. Brian’s fight The supervisor, a tall man with dark beard and moustache, showed his teeth in a creepy grin when it turned out to be 1vs1. He started to write on his papers again. Recruit number 21 vs recruit number 37: Pokémon used: Bronzor + Tangela vs Sawk + Fletchling. 21 has a clear disadvantage, but managed to turn to tables. Both recruits showed to have some potential. They know how to taunt their opponent, 21 didn’t take the bait. Expected outcome: both pass, 21 wins battle. Zeke’s fight The bald man who was keeping an eye on the battle wrote down a similar summary. Recruit 29 vs recruit 48: Meowth + Herdier vs Eevee and ?? Recruit 29 is too aggressive, can’t beat 1 Pokémon while using both of his, fails to keep a calm mind. Expected outcome: 48 wins and passes, 29 fails. Aurelia’s fight A woman with short dark hair walked over. She examined both recruits and recognized them as number 12 and number 17. Recruit 12 vs recruit 17: Fennekin + ?? vs Zorua + ?? She looked up from her paper to keep a close eye on the just starting battle, ready to take some notes. ((There are 48 recruits left, after each test some people will fail and 'drop out'. It's not easy to join the ranks))
  13. Sigurd prefers a straight answer. He'll consider it a bit of cheating on Bartimus' part.(Because he can't figure it out) And considering he almost died he's going to keep his mouth shut for now.
  14. Forest. And I'll include day 2 in chapter one. After that there's a small timeskip so we can get to the dragons. And RoG: I'll do the capture the flag thing. I think that would help the timing of finishing chapter 1 for both groups.
  15. EXLink Devin looked on his watch. “We’re already too late. Professor Redwood should be finishing about now. I can tell you everything he said, but I think it’s better if you ask your fellow students. Older students should be arriving about now as well so let’s head straight for the barbeque, unless you want to wait in line.” ((He’ll just follow you, so in your next post you can skip the walk if you want)) Bfroger and commander “Uhm nice to meet you,” Lana said shaking Shiro’s hand. Apparently the boy in front of her was even worse than her when it came to meeting new people. “Should we go inside? It might not be over yet.” DarkLight Evan raised his eyebrow when one of the latecomers took a seat next to him. “You kinda missed everything. Redwood explained the battle point system, tournaments and when we get to meet some dragon types,” he said summing it up. “Oh yeah and tomorrow we get a new Pokémon.” When he mentioned the potential new partner his Eevee jumped on his lap with a curious look. “Don’t worry, you’ll still be my number one. I don’t know what Pokémon I want anyway…” he said scratching Eevee behind the ears. Everyone in the Contest Hall “No more questions? Then I guess we’re finished!” Redwood said. “Now before I send you all off; there is one last free meal for you all. It’s a barbeque and around this time second and third years are arriving as well. So if you feel hungry head to the cafeteria in the main building. We opened the outside doors as well so you can sit in open air. Class starts tomorrow at 8.30 AM!” With that said he took a bow and left the stage. ((You're all free to do what you want. Tomorrow I'll be moving to day 2))
  16. @EXLink: He fought higher level Pokémon so yes, he can have max 2 levels. Everyone will sooner or later face a similar battle and that's the only time you can gain more xp than usual.
  17. @DarkLight: Devin is still in the forest xD He can't teleport yet
  18. Everyone gets to choose a second Pokémon. You know I was kidding with that spoiler right?
  19. Brian could've had a Bromance with Ratface, but you chose not to :/
  20. EXLink Devin was watching Flare and Slade’s every move and nodded in appreciation. The boy could do it if he could so it was time to wrap things up. After Flare and Flygon’s assault there weren’t many Trevenant left. They tried to get close to take out the annoying fire type, but couldn’t get close due to the dragons interference. “Wrap things up,” Devin ordered before Flygon’s wings took a silver-ish glow and started to mow down opponent after opponent. A few meters further Haxorus was also almost finished. Rookie was looking tired and its attacks were considerably slower, while Haxorus didn’t have a scratch and was even faster than before. The difference between the two was too much. Even a strong one like Rookie appeared to be no match for Devin and his dragons. One more Dragon Claw was all it took for Rookie to almost pass out. The Trevenant decided to retreat and called for the others to follow him. “Not bad Slade,” Devin complemented the student like they were in class. “But how about we go back now?” ******************************** Coordinator and NPC group Alvin stuttered and struggled himself loose. His face turned red and he felt offended by Danielle’s assumptions. “How dare you?” he spat. “I’m here to become the best trainer I can be and I take it very seriously. Now leave me alone with your childish accusations! I can feel my brain cells almost dying just by being in your company!” with that said he walked away, bumped into Claude, and entered the Contest Hall. Evan was leaning against the wall a few meters behind Colin when he spotted Alvin with his head held high. He looked in the direction where he came from when he saw some latecomers. Evan eyed them one by one without saying anything. Lana blushed. Her shyness embarrassed her yet again and she felt ridiculous that someone couldn’t understand her even though she was walking right behind him. “I-I’m Lana. I’m in the Breeder program and this is my partner Rhy. Nice to meet you,” she said. ***************************** Contest Hall group Redwood listened carefully to the questions. “Well, all of them are related so I’ll answer them at the same time. First; yes, all of you will receive a Pokémon tomorrow. There are some future dragon types available such as Horsea, Swablu and Trapinch. You can also find Goomy and Noibat and I believe that covers the available dragons. So to answer your second question; you can start training a dragon tomorrow. The other species will become available on the excursions that are planned. And you have the possibility to encounter all of them.” “Is that clear? Any more questions?”
  21. Feel free to nickname her if that helps. But what does it mean? xD And I'm updating. The first to ninja, like always happens when I'm updating, gets detention.
  22. Or maybe I should include the Reborn Region in this world, start up a student exchange program with the Flobot and let Fern come over to play!
  23. Scorpio threw some of the silver spikes he picked up earlier at the leader of the horde, slowing it down. He looked at the items still left but was unable to grab something. Not that he planned to dive straight in. “Get us out of here! We can’t win this one!” he yelled to Pulse.
