Pokémon Academy: Ch 1a: A fresh start [IC]
Chim replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Evan was still leaning against a tree when Danielle’s fight started. She’s certainly popular he thought after hearing all the cheers for her. That must be discouraging for her opponent. I wouldn’t want to be him right now, but he’s doing pretty well. Suddenly his attention was drawn by a Rhyhorn walking over and falling asleep next to him. “sorry!” a girl said. “Rhy tends to fall asleep immediately if he likes a place,” the unknown girl explained. She had brown hair, blue eyes and looked a bit familiar. “I-i’m Lana by the way,” the shy girl introduced herself when she didn’t get a reply. “Evan,” the boy replied before remembering he saw her on at the Contest Hall. She was one of the latecomers belonging to Danielle’s group. An awkward silence fell as both students didn’t know what to say. Evan didn’t seem like the easiest to talk to but Lana was curious about what happened between him and Alvin. “U-uhm about Alvin, I mean, I don’t want to be rude…” she said staring at her feet. Evan looked over and measured her up. “We settled it with a battle. It won’t happen again,” was all he said before turning his attention back to the match. Lana, still full of questions, shifted her feet awkwardly. She didn’t want to be rude, but at the same time she wanted to try and make friends. The shy girl figured she started with the ones Danielle knew, but apparently she had chosen the one person that most likely wouldn’t open up so easily. -
After the battles it's just some character interaction. I'm definitely going to do the detention, it's not important as an event but it starts a bit of the plot.
-
If you look at the PCs yes, but only about 50-60% in total is trainer. Many locals (like Lana) join the breeder program.
-
This. So I'm not the only one? xD I'm having more fun unleashing Alvin on the PCs then I thought. Actually DarkLight gave me that idea. Danielle's constant teasing that he's gay might end up in Alvin desperately wanting to prove he's not. Even going so far in collecting female bug types for his team.
-
I'm just glad no one made an Ash-like character or his sister or something. I would release Alvin immediately.
-
Lia x Teach? Since it's Brian x Ratface and Zeke x Melody Also I found this: http://animedemon001.deviantart.com/art/Tips-for-creating-Pokemon-OC-s-437355893
-
Don't worry Kenny x Robert is a thing as well. And you have no idea how weird it is to say that.
-
Yes, if I remember correctly she was found in caves right? So you can find one as well as most ground / steel / rock types. Mareek x Lana would be interesting to see. Or at least some interaction. Kage x Ryan is there as well while James will be alone forever. And Evan x Danielle duh! I'm going to make a post he's checking her out right now

@EXLink: You'll be going in the mountains. And I prefer if you kept it at one each time There are occassions when you can catch multiple but this schooltrip is meant to study dragons with the opportunity to catch a Pokémon, not the other way around. @Zephyr: You really want me to spill it, don't you? xD Fine: Brian has one part of the key.
-
No, you'll be encoutering all kinds of wild Pokémon. Mostly those that are found in rocky areas or a forest. Probably. And damn, I was giving Alvin a bug harem. There goes that plan. Highest base attack: I'd say 80/85. As long as there is some room to grow it's fine. I'm less strict with RoG in this case. And you can always use the moves your Pokémon learn naturally as a guideline. And no. I think you're overthinking it. 18 people will break in the same house at the same time. You're bound to get caught because someone will make a mistake and alert everyone. That being said the solution I have will draw little to no attention. The guard dogs are usually close to the house at night.
-
I'll give my easy solution after I see what you'll do xD But no, it doesn't involve Trix. On the missions you'll be going after this one.
-
I have a feeling it might be best if we keep the shard the Crimson King knows about for last.

Thanks. I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning with all the people interested but hopefully I can keep this up. I thought he was considering heights or ice types?. It's not like he has to fly on the thing, but you might be right then.

It's not hard to figure out Henry's potential mega. Claude is afraid of Rock types which leaves Aggron, Aerodactyl and T-tar. I just picked the most intimidating one. Mega's already included in the story (for those that want a unique mega): Champion: T-tar Devin: Flygon at this point probably Salamence Phoebe: Blastoise Other E4 members: Venusaur, Kangaskhan and Mega Fabio. At this point I'm considering a Medicham for Evan. Edit: I got ninja'd twice while posting this. @DarkLight: You can have flame charge.
-
No, and I won't ask for it. I like to see how things go by the actions in the IC. And yes, only one mega per team. Talking about teams: I don't have anything planned for Evan, but I'll probably grab a Donphan or Hippowdon along the way. And maybe Infernape, Cradily or Drapion. I got most planned for Lana and Alvin though.

You're planning this the wrong way. Sawsbuck will test you, but he's not aggressive like Trevenant. And Turbo makes a valid point.

Bfroger Redwood thought for a second. “Mhm did she started behaving like that after you lost?” he asked. “I won’t be easy. You’ll have to prove her to trust you by both becoming stronger. You might want to start talking to her to get her to understand you. If that doesn’t work show her results.” He grabbed Shiro’s shoulder. “And you might want to work on that confidence of yours. Pokémon pick up things like that,” he said giving the boy a small smile. He then turned his attention to the upcoming battle, leaving Shiro a moment to think things through. -
Yes I will. Nothing you have will work on the might Sawsbuck. He's a lot stronger then that Trevenant.
-
I'm going to torture you. Or I might give a list of Pokémon available, but I'll probably forget some to mention anyway so it might be easier to just ask me. Edit: Yes, Deerling is the hardest one to catch in the forest. They aren't uncommon tho. You mean Hippowdon Reservoir? It's next to the Safari Park and in the northern part of the region. (Yes, you'll visit both of them) The small 'desert' in the forest is more like a big sand box and not really a desert.
-
Yes, but they are rare. And the forest isn't the only place available to catch Pokémon. Shroomish are everywhere. I was thinking to do that, but that would stretch chapter 1 and is kinda unnecessary. After the dragons there are enough opportunities to go in there. No. RoG members received some harsh training. Your Pokémon would be around level 15-20 now (in 2 weeks, students in 6). I do this since you have less opportunity to train and have battles. I try to keep it around the same levels eventually when you face each other. Should be by the end of chapter 3/ start chapter 4 depending how things go.
-
Current teams but higher leveled. I'll give you all a chance later to go into the forest. (Mainly so I don't overlook the Pokémon you caught) And yes. They are there.
-
I'll always mention between which levels they are. It's not going to be a big skip since students can't always train so I was thinking somewhere between 15-20.

EXLink Rebecca looked over when Slade approached her. “After the battles are done, class will start. Just be a little more patient as there’s only one battle left. In the meantime you can watch the battle or get to know your classmates,” she said with a smile. Can’t Type, Bfroger, DarkLight Professor Redwood was intrigued by the story of the rebellious Snorunt. “Apparently a Snorunt took its loss pretty serious,” he answered James before asking Danielle more information. Redwood walked over to where Shun was holding Tal in place and found the Snorunt sleeping. He looked around a little to see the cause and his eye fell on a Lapras. He then turned to Shiro. “It looks like your friend calmed him down. Luckily for you we have spare Pokéballs available. In the future you can buy them in the shop using your Battle Points,” he said handing over a spare Pokéball. ************************* Evan was leaning against a tree. He felt pretty satisfied with his win and was trying to figure out a name for his Eevee, when Phoebe joined him. “About your detention,” she said. “After class you will collect all those laptops on the first floor and bring them to the seventh. Professor Redwoods lab is there along with a small storage room to keep the extra laptops.” She grinned for a moment, thinking about how she just escaped an annoying request from Redwood. -
Yes. We're almost there. After Danielle vs Jacob battle I'm close to starting chapter 2. @RoG members: I love how you're all overthinking things xD There is a very simple solution that won't alert anyone. (yet) @Battle rules and stuff: Just use common sense. Moves do the exact thing that their description says. You can use the animation that they use in the anime if you want. I'm pretty sure someone will speak up if I missed something that's OP. And just use some unusual tactics to throw your opponent off. In the battle between Evan and Alvin I was pretty much ready to destroy Evan, but then I thought of something to counter it. Plus I think it fits a personality like Alvin well to assume he already won and then self-destruct.
