  1. Moves like growl etc do exactly the same as the description says it does. I haven't seen any problems with attacks like that. As long as people use common sense and follow the descriptions for those moves most problems should be resolved. Anyway I'll go into more detail later as it is past midnight and I'm off.
  2. I'll get a look at it tomorrow but Screens work the same as in competitive. They reduce damage but don't block attacks completely. And status moves are permanent unless you have something like Heal Bell.
  3. Can’t Type Lana knew she couldn’t win. Rhy was the only one that could still go, but Queen was burned and now she lost health while Ferroseed regained some. “Queen, Rhy, come back,” she said. “We lost this one and I don’t want any of you to get needlessly hurt.” She smiled a little when both her Rhydon and Nidoran tried to comfort her. “Thank you for the battle,” she said to James as she went to Nurse Joy to let her Pokémon heal up. When she got back Phoebe was ready to give some feedback. “Well, you’re a smart one,” she said to Lana. “Sometimes it’s good to recall Pokémon before they get hurt too bad, but there were some other things you could try. Don’t give up too early.” Lana nodded before Phoebe turned her attention to James. “I can’t say much about you. The match-up was in your favor and you used the field to your advantage. Overall you had a good strategy, kid.” ********************** Evan picked up his Cleffa. “I guess I should’ve more faith in you. So that’s how I’ll call you: Faith,” he said. The little fairy grabbed his arm with her tiny arms and hugged him. He then walked over to his Eevee that was still lying on the ground; exhausted. “You did a great job. I couldn’t pull it off without you.” “NO IMPOSSIBLE!” Alvin yelled not accepting the loss. “You must’ve cheated!” “ENOUGH!” Devin cut in before Evan could reply. “No more of your fighting! You, Alvin, don’t assume you achieve victory until the battle is over.” Alvin didn’t even move. Devin’s authority side scared him a little. “And you, Evan, stop trying to settle things by picking fist fights. However you managed to come up with a decent strategy so good job on that one. Now both of you get off the field and stop fighting!” Alvin recalled his Pokémon and immediately left while Evan walked slowly carrying his Eevee towards Nurse Joy.
  4. I never saw Twilight... But I heard the term somewhere before and that's probably it.
  5. Can't Type: Next time you battle someone MENTION if the attacks hit or not. Because right now I have no clue if I"m even close to beating one of them. That said; Lana doesn't have much confidence and her Pokémon mean everthing to her. You win because she doesn't want them to get hurt too much.
  6. Poor Jacob. He tries so hard to get Danielle's attention but always gets interrupted and now even ignored. I would almost change to Team Jacob. Edit: @Turbo: No one is going to get detention aside from those that already have it. To be honest even Henry and Kenny wouldn't be in there if it wasn't for that first battle. I only needed Evan to get in there to get him alone so I can get a little of the plot started.
  7. Alvin wasn’t laughing anymore. He had underestimated Evan and especially that Cleffa. He didn’t even pay attention to the encore and almost knocked out his own Combee. “Queen; fly higher to make sure you can’t be hit. Then use gust on that Cleffa! Shellie… well… keep aiming at that Cleffa. Once encore is done use fury cutter!” The wind attack hit Cleffa head on. The fairy rolled a few meters before getting up, impressing Evan. He hadn’t really given her any credit up until now but she was doing a good job proving him wrong. “Cleffa, encore Dwebble again!” I need it to spam those rocks everywhere in order to hit that Combee. Now I need to figure out to lure them both to the same spot… “Eevee, place yourself between Combee and Dwebble!” Alvin saw through the plan. Shellie was still forced to use rock blast, but he wouldn’t let her go after the Eevee. “You really think I’m that dumb, caveman?” he snarled. This battle should’ve ended in his victory a long time ago, but now he was actually struggling against Evan. The bug trainer began to lose his patience. “Queen, stay out of range and support with gust! Shellie; take out that Cleffa with rock blast!” With the Combee hovering out of range and Cleffa trying to dodge as many rocks as she could, Evan felt cornered again. The gust attack gave the rocks more speed and power and eventually Cleffa was hit. “Eevee, use tackle and bring that Dwebble out of balance!” Eevee; who was much faster, managed to land the hit and managed to push Dwebble. The rest of the rock attack landed far away from Cleffa. “Lucky shot!” Alvin yelled. “Keep up the attack my beautiful bugs! They can’t counter it so it’s time we finish this!” The Combee and Dwebble kept up their attacks but Eevee’s tackle had given Evan an idea. “Eevee; flail on Dwebble and knock it over!” Eevee looked a moment at his trainer and understood what he was trying to do. It gathered all its last strength and was about to hit the Dwebble. “Shellie, no! Watch out!” Alvin yelled but it was too late. The Dwebble managed to turn in time and fired a rock at point blank ranged. Eevee crashed, literally, into the rock and Shellie causing the latter to fall on her side. The bug type, still forced to fire rocks due to Encore, shot two last rocks straight at the Combee before being knocked out. “Queen!!” Alvin yelled in a desperate attempt but he was too late, again. The Combee was hovering with her back towards the now knocked out Dwebble and Eevee , still attacking the Cleffa. She never saw the rocks coming and was hit by both rocks and fell down. Only Cleffa remained standing. The little fairy blinked a few times with her eyes, not sure what to do.
  8. I don't have any problems if you use a bit of science as long as you don't go overboard and overpower your opponent.
  9. I just saw it. I'm going to give him a chance to change it before I take away that Magneton. It's friggin level 5 that you just received. After 2 battles it's still +20%, reflecting every move Stratos is using AND now you use 4 attacks in one turn? I got Ninja'd again. If it changes you can keep it.
  10. Let her destroy the Pokéball afterwards. And if people go complain about shinies I can take them easily away... I don't get all this science crap but keep in mind that Magneton is only level 5. It already knocked out an opponent and it's a bit much to let it keep dodging / reflecting / whatever it's doing. If it doesn't go down soon I'm going to have to interfere and let it overload. This will result in being forced to pick another Pokémon. I'm willing to let everyone come up with unique battle strategies and find new ways, but this situation is just too much.
  11. That was a typo xD It's a Rhyhorn. Or did I type Rhydon again? Apparently I did.
  12. Dobby and Notus Professor Redwood finished his notes when he saw both students come back. “Impressive battle; you both showed some real potential in your respective areas. Kyle, you have a great eye and I enjoyed your Cottonee’s moves. That Karrablast might prove a handful but if you keep working like this your fellow coordinators have to watch out.” He gave Claude a small nod and smile before turning to Colin “You seem to be interested in the water type. I’m sure Professor Arlyn (Phoebe) will approve of that. Furthermore you seem capable of dealing with a disadvantage. It might be interesting for you to ask Professor Cadmus about Kingdra’s. I know he has a very powerful one.” Can’t Type Both attacks hit their mark. Nidoran was unable to locate the Duskull and was taken by surprise while Rhyhorn was too slow to avoid the incoming Rollout. Lana bit her lip. She knew from the beginning this was a bad match-up for her at this point. She saw how both her Pokémon got hit but weren’t very far from each other. “Switch targets,” she instructed. “Queen, use double kick on that Ferroseed and Rhy, use rock slide!” ((Ferroseed soccer / football depending where you live))
  13. I'll include it in my next update. I figured with timezones and all people wouldn't want to wait for something extra. And I was considering catching a Deerling for Evan, but seeing everyone cook and the kinds of meat; I'm afraid Ryan or Shiro might try to cook it.
  14. Dobby: Do you want Redwood's feedback or can I skip it? I kinda only do it when people request it xD
  15. Can’t Type The haze was a pain for Lana to deal with. She couldn’t see anything, except for a small part caused by the spinning of the Ferrothorn. “Queen, find that Duskull and use Peck! Rhy; keep an eye out for that spinning. Use tail whip!” The Nidoran ran around the field trying to find its opponent. ((You do know that if you spin something it causes wind that can blowaway haze right? Ferrothorn can be seen by everyone)) *************** If only I had a rock type… I could squash those bugs in an instant Evan thought. Wait, that’s it! I may have a way out of this! “Eevee; sand-attack on both of them. Cleffa, use Encore on Dwebble.” This time Alvin was ready. “Dodge it!” he yelled, but the Dwebble was too slow. The sand hit it full in the eyes dropping its accuracy even more. Combee managed to escape unscathed and rose higher up to be out of the Eevee’s range. “Shellie use fury cutter on that annoying Eevee! Queen; finish it off with bug bite!” Dwebble’s attack failed as it started to throw rocks against its will and forced her teammate to dodge as it came closer to the Eevee. “Eevee; use flail on Dwebble. Cleffa; charm that Combee!” Evan instructed his partners. Eevee ran through the opening created by the Combee and managed to jump onto the Dwebble dealing a large amount of damage. At the same time the little Cleffa managed to get closer to the Combee. It gave its cutest look and winked at her opponent, lowering the Combee’s attack stat.
  16. Rhyhorn isn't that fast. Ferroseed stood still so of course it would take the attack head on, but Gyro Ball will hurt it quite a lot. What you mean? Do you mean theme? In that case you can pick one.
  17. Damn I thought Rock Slide was an egg move for Rhyhorn, but I don't see it on Serebii... Oh well, Will-O-Wisp isn't an egg move for Duskull either (according to Serebii) so I'm going with it anyway. And Lana is not a PC And Alvin gets no supports. Meanies.
  18. Btw I'm using that wheel decide thing Dobby posted yesterday to determine if status attacks hit or not.
  19. Can’t Type “Queen, dodge!” Lana ordered. The heightened focus of the Nidoran along with her being the fastest on the field allowed her to escape the Will-O-Wisp attack. In the meantime Rhyhorn’s attack hit the mark as the Ferroseed didn’t even try to dodge. Rhy did take some damage from the iron barbs on its body. “Take out the Ferroseed first,” Lana said. “Queen; tail whip. Rhy use rock slide on both of them.” She hoped her strategy for lowering Ferroseed’s defense while hitting both opponents at the same time would work.
  20. 2 of those attacks (even the SE one) won't do much against a slow Rhyhorn... Anyway, Lana's Pokémon can barely touch Duskull so you'll probably win. Edit; Did you post a counter attack? Because I don't see it.
  21. It's used to see who can keep a clear head in a chaotic field as well as to place the new agents into existing teams.
  22. EVERY member has to steal something of value, so they will either go in alone or in a small group. They will probably also try to avoid staff and dogs but obviously some will get caught. From that point its going to be a bit confusing with all the people running around and only the ones keeping a clear head will succeed.
  23. There is a key in the house, but you won't need it. Zephyr ninja'd me as I'm typing this but most RoG members are able to pick a lock. You can also use a psychic type to open it. And if you mess up the electronic part you can basically push the gate open.
  24. The gates are electronic and there is a chain lock hanging on it as well.
  25. Scorpio kept a close eye on every Pokémon in the city. He wasn’t very fond of crowds and felt uncomfortable, but everything was better than getting squashed by rock types. “So, what’s the plan?” he asked Pulse. “And where are we going anyway?”
