Might I suggest a Writing Exercise tag? I added a post recently that definitely falls more under that category than anything listed, though it also technically falls under Creative Writing it might be nice to help identify such threads from time to time.

I've decided to keep the first post simple and fairly vague, add anything extra that you might want like descriptions and so on when you post your own characters! Location: Arctic Magic: Elemental Clothing: Leather Armour Hair: Slicked Back Weapon: Dual Swords Accessory: Cloak Steed: Tiger Trait: Dedicated Character Name: Rem Miritar Background: His homeland in the North was wiped out and claimed by human kind due to their sudden and rapid expansion. His kind were not simply driven out, they were massacred and even enslaved if they were unlucky enough. Rem himself was an apprentice hunter, and was out on a long trek with the other apprentices and master huntsmen; making a hunter's pilgrimage in order to take on the mantle of a full hunter as per custom. When the humans raised their flag against his kind on the first day of their onslaught, it was only those who were on this pilgrimage that were spared as it involved a long travel across the harsh; mountainous land to reach the first shrine of The Goddess of The Hunt. When he and the hunters returned from their pilgrimage, they witnessed the enslavement of their race and the desecration of their culture from afar. Knowing it was suicidal to intervene, the hunters moved on to warn other lands of the rapid and brutal expansion of mankind. Rem, though, swore vengeance on the humans; having lost everything he knew was a bitter pill he could not swallow. He trained himself for years in the way of the warrior and the hunt, becoming a Master Huntsman in the process. Though, it was not long after that he took on the mantle of vengeance, to his kind's disdain. They feared he would only fuel mankind's aggression toward them, threatening to strip him of his title as Master Huntsman, or even worse; they threatened with exile. Rem did not care, he had only one thing on his mind, justice for his people. He plead to the Gods of Vengeance and The Goddess of the Hunt, requesting the strength required to strike back at those who mercilessly slaughtered his kind. His pleading was not in vain, but it was neither the God of Vengeance nor the Goddess of The Hunt that answered him. It was the God of Valor who saw a fire inside of him that could not be quelled. The God struck a bargain with Rem, granting him with the ability to command the elements; but only if he struck with a righteous flame. Should he travel from his path of righteous vengeance, he abilities would be stripped and he would be bound to wander the Earth eternally after his physical form perished; he would forever remain the spirit of a disgraced warrior. He agreed to the God's terms, and was granted his new found power. He could command the power as naturally as he could breathe, and now, his quest for righteous vengeance would begin. Rem would travel to human lands by night, tracking down those responsible for the destruction of his people... Rumour, interrogation, all he needed was a single name to truly begin his hunt.

Alright, SO, recently my friend and I had this particular post pop up on our Tumblr Dashboards; we thought it would be fun to create characters based on what what we got from clicking and dragging and/or taking a screen shot of the page. So, I thought it might be a cool idea, particularly for the writers here to see what they can make based on their results! Not only is it a nice little writing exercise, but it opens up the possibility for an entire new world to be created; who knows, it could create the spark for your next adventure! So, here is original the post itself. And, here are a few reference links for Elven names and the like. Sindarin Elven Name Generator. CandleKeep's Elven Names. Arwen-Undomiel; an excellent resource for a multitude of things. And, of course the Dragon Age Elven Language Page; you can find other links from within this wiki page as well. What you need to do is post the results of what managed to get, along with a little bit of background information on your character. You don't need a lot, just a general concept, but you can always write more if you want. I felt this is a nice little exercise, especially if someone might have some form of writers block, and I can't wait to see what the writers here can come up with. I'll start us off with my character in the next post to give an idea of what I intend with this thread.

Consider the vote unofficially changed? Well, that is half of the point of the image. It's a combination of two CreepyPastas. I'm asking which one is creepier between the two, now what could make it creepier. I never intended to put more work than a few minutes in to it. It's served its purpose at this point, any way. Right now, it's just interesting to see which one is more unsettling to more people. I may revisit this in the future with a whole myriad of creepy things that I've actually put effort in to, though.

I second the use of Galvantula. It is my go to for an Electric Type in any game. My preferred set up is usually: Bug Buzz, Electro Ball, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt/Volt Switch. Galvantula is one hell of a power house. My little Tesla has yet to fail me.

Probably a lot of things, busy lives outside of Reborn, being the first one that comes to my mind. I know a lot of people around here do have very busy lives, many are students and others have jobs and the like; some of the folks around here are even active military. Besides, in all honesty, the character page doesn't seem like something that is all that important compared to some other things. The game itself, coming to mind. There's a lot more going on under the hood here than just a couple things, after all.

I'm not for or against it, myself. But, I see little point as most everything you need can be found on this site. I say at least hold off until the game is complete, and I would even recommend some level of information embargo on the Wiki as well; if only for a little while after it is complete. Sort of how Bulbapedia does when a new game is released. And, as of right now I don't think a Wiki is entirely feasible. Reborn has been known to change rather drastically, particularly in terms of Pokémon availability and such across newer episodes to help balance the game and go about the usual theme of making players try and use Pokémon they won't necessarily use otherwise. It would be a pain in the ass to maintain unless there was a staff member or few dedicated specifically to maintaining it due to the potential frequency of changes. I still remember being able to have a Magby almost immediately as well as an Elekid very early on. Now? Yeah... See my point? Even then, there's no one to say Ame may or may not change certain story elements along the line or even decide to change a particular character some to better fit the current state of the game. I also feel a wiki could... Rid the game of some of its difficulty, something that I feel is a bit of a highlight with it. Different puzzles and the like would have a cheat sheet right there, and so on. Reborn isn't like Zeta or Omicron, it's meant to be more of a challenge. And, knowing where everything is would take away some of that challenge. But, those are just my two cents. As I said, not for or against it, I just see as many cons as there are pros. Maybe more.
