  1. Personally I like it, there are obvious balance issues with the game. But, overall I like what they've done. The Ordinance System is my least favorite thing, I think removing the static weapon spawns on the map and replacing them with "random" ordinance was a bad move. It takes a lot of the arena shooter feel from the game. Loadouts? Eh, I liked them in Reach so no complaints. The DMR is way over-powered in this game, which is also very annoying to myself. There are also a few useless weapons, but every Halo game has had them. Spartan Ops is amazing, and I like how they're removing the Silent Protagonist Shtick with Chief. QTEs are stupid, and aside from that my final complaint is: The maps. The diversity of environments is almost non-existent to me. Sure, you have different themes to every map. But, overall I'm unimpressed. They focused too much on larger-scale games, and well to be honest it doesn't feel like the maps matter. They have this... CoD feel. You never stop to look around at the environments anymore. Everything is a little too gritty for my tastes.
  2. I know there's one, and I haven't played with them as of yet. However, I'm interested to see how many members of this community play Halo. And, of course how many of you would be willing to play together. It would be interesting to start up some form of Halo sub-community with Custom Game Nights and the like. If you do play Halo, list your Gamertag and maybe we can paly together/send friend requests. My Gamertag is: Nutcase Reborn.
  3. Where in the hell am I supposed to get a Leaf Stone? D: With the Dept. Store in its current condition, I'm stuck with a Weepinbell. v.v

honestly the only thing that tipped me off was the fact that I don't think he like Victreebell

I figured that out fairly quickly, actually. Also, I love him for telling me. My team is nearly complete. Now to get that Magmarizer... I would have an Electabuzz right now but I goofed and KO'd the Elekid... D:

  4. The final episode of Spartan Ops was HARDCORE. But... Wtf, Halsey?!

    1. Maelstrom

      Maelstrom

Elites are killers, not doctors. Get shot in the shoulder, amputate that arm. Also, I'm sure she's being crafty, not actually vengeful.

That was my assumption as well. But, it was still an unexpected twist. She has always had an ulterior motive.

  5. Hacking Pokémon Heart Gold to start with Grimer? Wynaut?

  6. So, I'm now Kotone/Lyra. Not bad. Feraligatr and I shall unleash the full extent of our wrath.
  7. Yes, but you have to consider that this game is: A. Fan Made. B. Episodic. So, one can assume things will be different. As, there are many differences between this game and a traditional Pokémon game. I, actually have preference of this game over the traditional games due to the more mature setting. Had this game not been episodic, and had this game been played via handheld like other Pokémon games I would have saved much more frequently. It's a matter of, I can leave it running for an indefinite amount of time on my PC while remaining idle and not having to worry about batteries dying or recharging. It's not an issue of taking responsibility away, as much as it's an issue of it being different from a traditional Pokémon Game. Every episodic game that I've played had some form of auto-save or a save prompt at the end of the episode. My issue was after I ended the episode it simply went to black. I had assumed I would get an opportunity to save at the boat after the preview. The warning after battling KiKi, does indeed tell you the episode will end. But, my concern is it says nothing about the state of your save. It simply tells you to go about and do things if you want to before the episode ends. I had implied by browsing about and seeing frequently that with each episode your save is preserved, that it could have saved for me or prompted me at the end of the episode. Not to mention the warning also somewhat implies the episode will end and there is no going back, which could lead to one to assume it will save there and prevent any progress or prompt you to do so. As I've also said it doesn't bother me at this point, because I know. I'm simply pointing out that this is an issue for people new to the game, and there could be a form of miscommunication for them as there was for me. It's not my game, so it's not my place to tell someone what to do with it. However, I can make suggestions and give feedback. Do as you will, I've made my concerns present.
  8. I've come to the conclusion, that my .gif folder contains a .gif for everything imaginable.

  9. War...War Never Changes... So, I guess this makes me The Courier from Fallout: New Vegas? Cool. Wait, my Courier has a Ballistic Fist? This is... Hardcore! I'm ruling over an independant New Vegas with an army of securitrons and The Enclave Remnants in my pocket? Along with the Think Tank of the Big MT? This is... This is...Awesome. Bow to me.
  10. My first Shiny Pokémon, was actually a Shiny Totodile in Pokémon Crystal. I didn't know what Shinies were at the time, so I assumed it was just a new color scheme in general. It wasn't until years later when I was playing Pokémon Emerald that I realized... Holy mother of Muk. After that, my second Shiny was a Shiny Grimer. Which, oddly upset me because I prefer the Grimer Line's Original Color Scheme. To this day I've had a total of 9 Non-Event Shinies: Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligatr, Grimer/Muk, Spearow/Fearow, Joltik/Galvantula, Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree, Spinarak/Ariados, Tyrogue/Hitmonlee, Elekid/Electabuzz, Terrakion. Most of them have been obtained Gen IV+. In Pokémon Reborn I have three that I caught in a sequence. Bellsprout/Weepinbell, Venipede, Spearow/Fearow.

It is so totally worth it. Grilled cheese is one of the most simple, delicious meals available. There is never a bad time for Grilled Cheese. Or, Ramen.

  12. "Hasta Mañano." Yes, I'm aware that it's not correct Spanish. Reasons: I like the way it sounds... I just sort of started randomly using it one day to be a smart ass to my friend as I booted him from my Xbox Live Party. It was partially inspired by El Mañana by The Gorillaz. It's not my first bastardization of another language.
  13. One of my favorite bands of all time. I'm so glad they returned.~
  14. Alrighty, here's my Desktop. Noir with Minecraft Accent.
  15. Edit: I completely misread that... But, regardless my suggestion below is still relevant. It does warn you that the game will end at the end of the Episode, however it gives no warning about the state of your saves. Perhaps simply add it in to the end-of-episode messages, something like: "Your data will not be auto-saved once you end the episode and it is suggested that you save now."
  16. By Dark Fantasy I mean a somewhat bleak setting, a major grey area for good/evil, the protagonist not being what they seem, things such as that. Dragon Age is a good example of Dark Fantasy as is Lord of the Rings. I'll have to look in to that series.
  17. My issue was I made the assumption that since it was the end of the episode, it would autosave like it does if the Script Hangs. Or, that it would give me a prompt to save after or before the ending preview. It's not an issue for me now, seeing as I've already cleared the progress that was lost. But, it would be a shame for new players to have their hard work thrown away based on an assumption. I was lucky that I save after every major puzzle in order to save myself the effort should a crash or severe bug occur. So, I propose to either add an auto-save function at the end of each episode or prompt/warn you before you get to the end to save your progress. Or, at least include it in the Readme that you must save before the end of each episode.
  18. Yeah, you may want to place in a warning that it doesn't autosave for you. >-> I just completed the Sixth Episode and didn't save until just before the battle atop of the Volcano... I mean, it's not like I have much to do (The battle is a little easy for someone with a water starter IMO), but it's a little bit of a hassle and I think the end-of-episode warning should include a note about it for newer players.~ Anyone else agree or have thoughts?
  19. I'm more of a Dark Fantasy type, High Fantasy is fine if it isn't too "light." I'm also somewhat in to Sci Fi, but I'm very picky with it. You can blame Halo for that.
  20. I hope I do, everyone here seems like a cool bunch. Also, might I ask how I would go about reporting Typos and Big Gramamtical Errors in the game? It may be me just nitpicking, but it gets on my nerves.
  21. Yo, I'm new around here and wanted to give the community a shout and introduce myself. The name's Nutcase, or Alex if you're the type to use real names. I've never been good with these introductory things, so I'll keep it simple. I'm a pretty hardcore gamer I'd say, playing everything from Pokémon to Halo. I'm a musician, and an aspiring writer. I have plans to become an English Teacher, and hopefully write for Video Games. I want to bring the ever-expanding universe in my head to life some day, and create stories that will last throughout the ages. Maybe I'll inspire others to bring out that creative flame, as well. My music taste is extensive, and you'll find anything from Metallica to Bing Crosby in my music collection. I also like to remain care free, and just float along day by day. I co-admin a small Pokémon-based Facebook page. I have issues with organization, and I'm a self-proclaimed tech-wizard and gear-head. I'm particularly knowledgable with PCs, Video Game Consoles and Gaming Peripherals. I also have an obsession with the Qunari Culture from the Dragon Age franchise, and may quote it from time to time. My Xbox Live Gamertag is: Nutcase Reborn for those who want to give me a shout there, and that's about all I can think of. If you have any questions for me, fire away. Here, have a gif that amuses me.
