The custom UpB's are only OP if you don't respect them. For example, Ganondorf's Dark Fists gives him super armor and KO's half the cast at 60% or less. The counterplay? Don't try to contest it. Wait for the lag, and go to town. It also still doesn't help his issues with horizontal recovery either (although it bolsters that a bit). That's not to make a case for legalizing customs though. Let's avoid the headaches that come with trying to work with them.

QSS removes the suppression effect. However, Malzahar and Warwick will continue doing damage to you for the duration of the channel or until you break a certain range. I guess that was what foovy was getting at.

Never take Ignite on Lux unless you are against Swain/Vlad and you can count on getting early ganks from jungler (from a Devourer Udyr? Yeah, right). Heal would have been alright if it wasn't against Azir, who usually takes Ignite and does DPS that cuts through what little amount Heal restores under the 50% nullify. On Lux, Barrier or Cleanse would be the two best choices in most situations in this meta - the choice comes down to what scares you more. Is it the Hecarim-Blitzcrank combo, or the Azir's lane presence? Considering Azir doesn't do much to Lux early, and that Birdman can tee up Hecarim and Blitzcrank (and Vayne can also stun you against Azir's ultimate), I do think that Cleanse is the best spell for Lux here. EDIT: Shyvana's threat is pretty easily disposed of without help from her teammates.

Kalista almost always rushes BoRK now after the nerfs to her AD scalings. BT's not as efficient of a buy as it used to be with the cutback on her upfront damage. Malz ulti would make setting you up for Volibear about 20x easier, since you can just Valkyrie away from the bear and it'll be hunky dory or whatever the hell the expression is.

My tip for Samus is to stay out of her mid range (about the third of FD's length). This is right where every damn Samus this side of Tourian wants you, because she has so many options when you're there. Either establish a healthy distance where the projectiles become more easily avoidable, or go deep and get up in her grill. Remember that her slow falling speed makes her less susceptible to combos than other middle-heavyweight fighters. When you do find yourself in the mid range though, it's best to roll or spot dodge - grapple beam will get you while you're shielding. Though if you're good with powershielding then it will go a long way for you vs the projectiles.

I did pretty good this game. Died one too many times, but I was tanking quite a bit while ferrying around a tasty Riven. If there was anything I would do differently next game, it'd be stop trying to help the Jinx who would rather try her luck 1v3 than teamfight while she's still miles ahead of Vayne. I dunno why I never ate those cookies either.
