      it's not really complicated in Jojo's either but it's entirely absurd. ((since it's it lasts like 10 seconds, yet apparently the can have several villian monologues and fight scen in these limited windows.)) Really they know it's absurd it play it up on purpose.

      Depending on your interpretation of 'good' Steins;Gate might pull it off ok.  I still haven't seen Re:Zero, so I can't compare it to your 'well enough' rating.  Of course, I read the Steins;Gate VN with the branching timelines (different routes) being more apparent; I have not watched the anime, so the anime might make the 'explanation' simpler.
