Admittedly, the odd looks were not unmerited. Humans weren't exactly common guests on the youkai mountain, outside the Moriya Shrine--they certainly weren't regular sights in the lands where the tengu made their home. Even for someone as famously eccentric as Masako, bringing them here was rather strange. Not that Masako seemed overly worried about it, if she cared about the staring at all. She seemed content just to wave at a few familiar faces as the unusual group walked or flew on by, while she lead them to... Well, who knew where? It was probably becoming increa

"Ghhhh... I won't fall to this..." She very well might, but Lexiel refuses to go down without a fight. She casts Wall of Denial, creating another summon, this one blocking for herself. The wall has 45 MHP, does not counterattack (unlike Lexiel's other summons) and is impervious to all status ailments, and to all damage not dealt by weapon-based attacks. Natural weapons count as weapons. This triggers the Soul Warden, healing all allies (including each of Lexiel's summons) for 5 HP apiece, assuming it's still around when the wall is summoned. Lexiel has 3 mana bonds.

Spicy HG took a step back while she recovered from her previous attack and reassessed the battle. Glancing between Mitsu and the Onryo's reactions she raised one hand palm up and clutching a small red burst of flames. "You should've died when you had the chance Demon. Now burn." With her words spoken she let the flame rise, growing to many times its previous size and causing the temperature of the room to jump several degrees. Particularly bright flashes are reserved for each of the enemies in the room, catching them in strokes of flame not unlike solar flares. Spicy HG uses .

"You are correct: nothingness is all I have to offer a creature such as yourself." Mitsurugi closed her eyes, gathering herself. "Broken I may be, but there is yet still a core to my being. You are naught but shapeless vengeance, cloaked in tragedy, offering nothing but desolation and fear." Sensing the ubume striking out at Lexiel, she moved to deliver her own counterstroke, blade tracing a brilliant line through the air with fluid grace. Attack Ubume 1 for 3d8+14+11+38 damage!

Battle theme Before everything went to chaos as it normally did, Lexiel quickly summons a Soul Warden, the good lad’s arrival reinvigorating the party (and healing 5 hp as an added bonus). Doing as he normally does, Mot continues to drive within the confines of the room, putting another bullet into an Ubume for 63 damage, additionally gaining another Mortality stack. “Spare me your lectures. The broken remains of a god has nothing to offer” the Onryo spat back, flicking its arm to the side, splattering a slight amount of blood onto the ground, all while st

Cell paused at the thought for a bit, considering it as he put away the tail and makes a very exaggerated motion to stroke the tip of his chin. After a few seconds of thought something occurs to him and he qyickly shifts into making an odd gesture with the backs of his hands pressed against his chin and his fingers wiggling and writhing like a beard of gribbly tentacles.

The Makuta looks down at Cell's spoils, eyes narrowed. "I did lose a swarm of Nui-Rama while tending to the damage Tsubasa inflicted to my armor, but not this many," He sifts through the belt-ring one by one, before stopping at a mask about halfway through, "This... is not one of mine. And I don't know what creature you severed that tail from. I have seen records of every Rahi beast in this world, but that... And the mask... The missing matoran... There is a rogue member of the Brotherhood of Makuta, a lesser member of my species, on this island. But who among them could be so foolish a

One of Saejik's stormtroopers runs up to Bridgett with a medic bag, and after scanning her and conferring briefly with the Captain on his helmet comlink, waves a paddle-like instrument over her, dissipating the staticky energy playing over her form. "Don't let her get to you, keep firing!" The trooper nods at Bridgett, brushes a bit of dust and rubble off her shoulder, and hurries back towards the AT-TE. Captain Saejik uses Battlefield Triage! Bridgett is cleansed of being Sealed and another status condition if she gets one before this resolves! She also receives 20 temporary HP

Mira With the booster crushed and its energies flowing through her, Mira lifted her sword to her face, red eyes peering past the edges at the final CFW, a mass of dark fog flowing around and into her armor as she began focusing her Magra within, preparing one of the two techniques that she rarely used, "Full Moon..." Under a barely audible mutter, the fog that constantly surrounded Mira finally, fully retracted, hiding within the shell of dark steel that surrounded Mira's body, and pooling within her center; Her Generator. The red eyes that had been glaring at CFW Magic had also va

Kino and Enma Enma attacks the Onyro, dealing 1d6 + INT(9) damage to it, and marking it with Entente of Malice, which will empower Kino's next attack dealt to it. Kino casts Debilitate onto the Onyro, dealing 3d6 + INT + INT/2 + 2 (3d6 + 15) damage. This consumes Entente of Malice, and causes the Onyro to deal 10% less damage for two turns. Kino and her summons' attacks maintain the debuff, and the debuff can stack up to thrice when used consecutively. 3 turn cooldown.

"Yeah, the only thing she's paying for is your hospital bill when we're finished putting you in traction!" Gabriel briefly pondered if it was a good idea to piss off their enemy like that. Or if that threat even sounded cool. Man, Perlita must be cringing hearing that. Freila on CFW Magic....again, re-inflicting Sun Arcana and applying extra damage from Beat of My Blood. Freila: Utilising Oppenheimer, Gabriel blasts an opponent with the power of nuclear radiation, unleashing a miniature nuclear blast onto them. Gabriel does 6d6+SYN (14) damage to a single target.

Having finished scooping the *ahem* ashes into a small pouch Cell walked over to the group of people slowly gathering to talk to the Makuta. A second or two after Makuta finishes mentioning that he hadn't put them in much danger Cell slowly pulls out the tail of the Bazelgause with on hand and holds up the belt-ring of corrupted masks he collected from the fallen Nui-rama, jingling it a bit while giving Makuta a questioning look.

Lyra had honestly lost track of what was going on. A soccer team, soldiers that looked like bad guys out of war films, the monument thing was awake now... Whatever. Gaster listens patiently until the end. "Two noteworthy things were found in the human SOUL I experimented on. DETERMINATION, and KARMA. Both merely empower a SOUL, for better or worse. I found that both substances enabled me to send messages to the past, and change the future. In practice, Determination allowed me to create information that did not, and could not exist, by manipulating the properties and behavior of electrons." "My goal most certainly was not Godhood. I planned to create a weapon powerful enough to shatter the barrier, using Paradox-Energy from a single hu -
Satomi put her hands on her hips, staring just a bit frustratedly at the vague darkness where her erstwhile conversational partner had one been. "Well, that was quite the mix of cryptic and straightforward, wasn't it? Still, on the whole, I suppose that that was helpful." She started almost imperceptibly at the sound of Kusuke's voice, and then turned to him. "Ah! Kusuke-san. I admit that I had temporarily become lost myself - it's quite the maze of a city, to be sure. Still, my quest to find something useful has turned out to be a success indeed. I met an individual who, though perhaps somewh

Kusuke peered into the darkness as he continued to move forward. "Satomi?" He was pretty sure that was her voice, even if he didn't recognize the other. "Is that you?" This place had a bizarrely oppressive atmosphere; not shocking, given what he knew of Traverse Town, but it was still at odds with the rest of the patchwork city. "This place is getting me turned around a little." Disconcerting, that was. Kusuke was a good navigator in most cases, a skill necessary to avoid unfortunate incidents when skipping about through time and space. He didn't often get lost, and doing so was not exactly co

Nader laughed a little at the good doctor's (well, frankly speaking, at least a bit better of a doctor than Alphys, if Asgore's memories and actions were any indication) admission that he had no idea who Nader was. Well... there was one avenue of closure out the window, right there, Nader supposed. But that wasn't all that he could talk to Gaster about, by any means. It was a bit funny, at least, that the same phrases he'd seen in the lab entries did pop up in the man's speech. It was just the way he spoke, apparently. "Well, hah, I suppose I've just got to accept that. Hmm... well -
Magic continues to charge her attack. Bridgett’s spell causes bands of glowing energy to wrap around Magic, binding her into place, breaking her concentration, and causing her spell to disperse. Reality retaliates dealing 2 damage to Bridgett. Magic grunts indignantly and glares at Bridgett in disgust as she struggles against the bindings. 6D prepares to limp into the vehicle. Regen ticks. Defend activates. Deflection Protocol activates. Sun Arcana ticks. Gabriel fires another blast of fire for 61 damage and inflicts more

Tsubasa took a deep breath after the fighting petered out, feeling the all-too-familiar sensation of burning throughout her body as she did so. She opened her eyes after exhaling, dropping into a relaxed - if still ready - posture as the conversation continued. She gave the Makuta a casually questioning glance, before nodding at Gozer. "A part of me says I should apologize for cutting a hand off, but another says I should aim higher this time."

Dackly deflates with a sigh. "Wow! That was exhausting. Thanks evil guy! Ugh. It's like trying to argue with your high-school self, with the exact same flavor of petulant bickering." "Oh, but uhh, fair warning, I think we're all still pissed at you, yaknow, evil and all that. Sounds like you're at least after the same thing we are though, so good on you! We happen to both like the multiverse existing, and that's some common ground I can get behind at least!" Dackly comments, picking at her ear. "Dackly... "Spend some time with a mental health professional, and make an honest effort to work with them this time," The Makuta steps out of the goddess' shadow, silencing her with a wave of his hand, "When you look arrogant next to me, you know you've got problems. At least I can admit when I've been outwitted and outplayed. Yes, it happens. Occasionally. Usually after underestimating Vakama. But in this case, everything is going just as planned.
