metalhead_by_ravnos2-d6x0pw5.jpg

Name: DJ Metalhead

Gender: Male

Age: 19 in pony years

Species: Unicorn

Metalhead is a young mint-green male stallion. He has a black and electric green mohawk mane and messy tail, and a black spiked beard. His hooves and legs were once stained with glowstick fluid, so he dyed the fur there black so his feet would stop glowing in the dark. He wears a pair of lime green sunglasses everywhere he goes, to cover his bright yellow batpony eyes. The stallion has a heavy, yet sturdy gait that is much like big macintosh's, and his body is slim and muscular.

Cutie Mark: Two black electric guitars in a crossed position.

Magic Color: Remember when Zecora summoned a vision of Nightmare Moon out of that light green dust in that one episode? It's the same color as the dust.

Personality: Rocker. Laid-back. Party Animal.

History:

Metalhead was born to a unicorn mother and a bat-pony father nineteen years ago. They lived on the edge of Ponyville in a modest cottage, despite being of upper-middle class. His father, Heavy Metal, served as a member of the Lunar Guard for Princess Luna, and his mother, Darkwave, was a Radio station host for Ponyville. His mother would take him and his older fraternal-twin Siblings, Nightcore and Techno Beats, to her studio each day to play in a room that sat right in front of her DJ booth, where she could keep an eye on them via the two way mirror. This helped inspire Metalhead's passion for music at a very young age; especially for rock music (which would later evolve into a love of metal.) On his fifth birthday, he eventually received his first guitar: an Epiph-pony. His sister Nightcore received a Tamahoof electric keyboard, and his brother Techno Beats received his own Drum set in the same year, both at the age of seven . After some begging from the three, Darkwave's co-workers eventually gave in and offered the adorable foals a few music lessons in between their shifts.

At six years old, Metalhead was old enough to begin attending school in Ponyville. He was nervous about his first day, so Darkwave told him to take his guitar with him to show the other children. Once at school, his teacher Miss Rosebud had him and the other children sit in a circle and introduce themselves to the class. When it was Metalhead's turn, Miss Rosebud insisted that the young colt play them a song on his guitar. As the colt made his way to the front of the class, his hoof caught on a fold in the rug and he fell onto his Epiph-pony, crushing his beloved guitar beneath his weight. The other kids laughed at him as he returned crestfallen to his desk, tears in his eyes as he beheld the broken pieces of mahogany in his hooves.

While it was rather simple for Heavy Metal to obtain a new guitar for his son, Metalhead refused to take it to school after that. Although he never did actually get to perform for the class, the incident shattered Metalhead's confidence in his guitar playing abilities, as well as turned him into a shy young stallion amongst his peers, to the point where most of his classmates forgot his name and just started referring to him as "Guitar Boy." During recess, he would play by himself off in the corner of the playground, away from the other fillies and colts. At Lunch, he would usually sit by himself--only occasionally joined by Nightcore and Techno Beats because they pitied their younger brother. He rarely participated in class, but his grades didn't suffer much for it; it was easy to focus on studies when you have no friends to distract you. His parents tried to help him become more confident about socializing, but it didn't work.

But that all changed the day Vinyl Scratch moved to Ponyville from the city. The loud and energetic young filly immediately grabbed the young colt's heart, and he would admire her quietly from afar at school--too shy to speak to her. Fortunately, Vinyl took notice of Metalhead and gradually befriended him over their shared love of music--albeit occasionally fighting over which genre was better. (You know that scene in the movie "Up" where the old guy is that quiet kid and his future-wife is all rambunctious and stuff? Their friendship was a lot like that until Metalhead worked up the courage to speak to Vinyl like a normal pony.) They were soon doing everything together; playing at recess, eating lunch, studying, talking about music, and other things that young ponies do. They remained best friends for many years.

Eventually, around the age of 12 in pony years, Metalhead built up enough courage to ask Vinyl to come over to his house for a playdate. And of course, one of the first things that Vinyl noticed about the colt's room was that he owned a guitar; three different kinds of them at this point. After much begging from the rambunctious filly, Metalhead finally gave in and played her "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on his ahoofstic (accoustic) guitar. Vinyl was so impressed with his rendition of the simple nursery rhyme that she talked him into playing several more songs for her. When the songs were done and Metalhead's horn was sore from playing, he set his guitar aside. Vinyl told him that he was so good at playing guitar, that he should enter the school talent show with her and play for all of Ponyville. At first, Metalhead vehemently declined her offer; there was no way she was going to get him up on a stage where he could mess up in front of the entire town. But as the days went by, and Vinyl continued to either beg him to play with her at the Talent show or flat out refuse to speak to him after they argued, the young stallion finally gave in. After all, he hated it when he fought with his best friend.

Vinyl was super excited about the Talent show and their upcoming performance in it. Seeing as Metalhead was still apprehensive about bringing his guitar to school, Vinyl continued to schedule rehearsals for the two of them after school at each other's houses (they were going to ask Techno Beats and Nightcore to join them, but they were already doing a musical number for the show too.) They practiced constantly together, as Vinyl would sing and play her keyboard in harmony with his electric guitar. She would work her hooves raw on the keyboard and sing until she went mute. Metal would use his magic to pluck at the guitar strings until his horn was sore and out of power. They would practice performing in front of both of their families in order to help Metalhead slowly get over his anxiety of performing in front of other ponies.

At long last, the day of the Talent show had arrived. Metalhead's anxiety rose, however, when he glanced around the gathered students and saw that Vinyl was nowhere to be found. Apparently she had gotten sick from not getting enough sleep and practicing too hard; which meant that Metalhead would have to perform without her. Just as he was about to go up to Miss Rosebud and ask her to pull him out of the talent show, his sister Nightcore stopped him. She tried talk him out of quitting, telling him that he and Vinyl had worked too hard to not perform, and that Vinyl would want him to go on and play without her. At that, Metal felt his body bristle with confidence. They had worked too hard for him to chicken out now. He HAD to go out there and make Vinyl proud of him!

As the sun began to set, Metalhead took his place in the line leading up to the stage and watched the others perform their talents. They were all so skilled in their talents! It made the colt nervous to watch them. Fear made his hooves quake as he gazed out at the audience; a much bigger audience than what he and Vinyl had prepared for.

What if he tripped again? What if he broke a string? What if his magic fizzled out halfway through the song? What if he was so bad that they threw apples at him and laughed him off stage? What if...

But it was too late to run away; his siblings were just finishing up their number, and Metalhead was next in line. He tried to back up, but the young colt behind him shoved him forward. Nearly falling forward onto his guitar again, Metal managed to right his legs in time to stumble up the short stairway and up onto the stage. Gripping the neck of his guitar in his teeth, the young colt watched from backstage as the crowd applauded his siblings as they trotted off the platform. He flinched as he heard Miss Rosebud announce his name over the speaker; well, this was it. No turning back now.

Taking a deep breath and swallowing his nerves, Metalhead pushed his head through the curtains and cautiously walked out onto the platform, standing before the microphone. He tried to ignore the audience as he adjusted the mic. , and tried to calm his racing heartbeat as he plugged his guitar into the speaker. With a deep breath, Metalhead closed his eyes as he began to pump his magic through his horn, causing the guitar to levitate a few inches off of the stage floor. Lightly tapping his hoof to keep tempo, the young colt began to pluck the strings with his magic. After a few notes, Metalhead cautiously opened one eye to observe the audience's reaction. He was shocked to see Vinyl in the front row, smiling up at him. "Keep Going" she mouthed, and Metal's anxiety slowly vanished as he stared into her bright, hot pink eyes. Nearby her he saw both her parents and his, and It was then that he had an epiphany. The audience was composed of smiling ponies who wanted to see him do well, not the sadistic grins of those who wished him to fail. If he made a mistake, they would still support him, not jeer him offstage. These ponies were the ponies he saw everyday; his commuity, his 'friends'.

Smiling at the realization, he began to play the notes more enthusiastically, even going so far as to sway his head and hips to the rhythm along with the members of the audience. He poured out his soul into the piece, the emotions so vividly produced by his guitar that they could be felt in the air. It was a masterpiece, for a colt his age. As the song drew to an end, the audience cheered and applauded Metalhead's wonderful performance. It was here, bowing before the crowd with a big grin, that Metalhead knew then where he was meant to be.

That's when his cutie mark appeared on his flank.

As the years went on, so did the music. Nightcore and Techno Beats went off and became famous music artists. While Nightcore would go on to play many gigs all across Equestria, Techno Beats eventually settled down with his very special somepony, Bass Drop, and retire early to raise their son, Dubstep.

As for Metalhead, the young, shy colt grew into a confident, laid-back stallion. He and Vinyl eventually grew apart as friends, but it was alright; he would make plenty of new friends throughout his life. He went to DJ school to become a radio DJ like his mother. But it was during this time that he realized that he couldn't just play music for a crowd that he couldn't see. He missed having an audience that he could watch have fun and dance to his music. So instead of becoming a Radio DJ, he bought out a medium-sized warehouse nearby the Everfree Forest and transformed it into a danceclub called "Dance Syndrome". He both owns "Dance Syndrome" and serves as DJ there, perfectly happy to spin tracks, sell glowsticks and carbonated Cider, and ensure that all of his customers leave with tired hooves and big smiles on their faces.

Alright, I'll just get Tim set up. I'm more then certain I'll have more characters to add.

-Name: Timothy Bruun

-Appearance/Characteristics: Timothy stands just shy of 5'8. He is slightly pudgy, with an averagely broad shoulders. He has short cut brown hair with well trimmed goatee, usually not much longer then stubble. He has a pair of small wire rimmed glasses, being severely nearsighted without them. He tends to wear work clothing, usually a polo of some sort and slacks. He has a preference for khaki slacks, and a dark brown, or green polo.

Timothy has a strong sardonic streak, often relying on dry, and impressively worded phrases. He is very intelligent, but otherwise withdrawn. His independent streak is often hampered by his own common sense, if he can see the logic in another's plan, he will go with it, usually begrudgingly, but he will help.

-Birthday: March 15th (more often then not he will be around 25, unless if the setting needs older or younger.)

-Roleplay Universe: Any modern setting will work.

-Name: Jet Orixion

-Roleplay Universe: Pokemon trainer roleplay and OC elite four roleplay.

-Appearance: Has pitch black hair, hence his name. His eyes are metallic gold, and Jet has a trench coat most of the time, along with gunmetal-colored jeans. Jet always carries a pocket knife he had since he was eight.

-Personality: Mature for his age, and quiet as well. Even at the peak of a tension filled moment, he always remains stoic and able to solve the problem quickly with an articulate mind.

-Birthdate: April 19, 1993.

-Facts: Jet is an elite member of the Oracle League as a steel type trainer. The Oracle League is located in the Oracle Region, famous for it's abundance of wild Rayquaza that seem to take a liking in the isles and mountain ranges. The elite was born in Slateport City, Hoenn, yet his starter was a shiny Karrablast, unlike the usual Torchic, Treeko, and Mudkip starters. 10 years after, Jet and Vanguard, his Escalvalier/ what was once Karrablast, fight against the plethora of trainers, defending the champion from being dethroned of his title.

acshully

most legendaries are implied to reproduce, they just live for very long

Rayquaza, for example, lives for thousands of years. This implies that Rayquaza does, indeed, reproduce. Latios/Latias are confirmed to reproduce (they talk about their life cycle, and Latias dies at one point iirc), Lugia reproduces, there are multiple Entei in the world, there are implied to be multiple Jirachi in the world, we've seen multiple Deoxys, Heatran, Cresselia, and the genie trio have genders, which implies reproduction, Victini's Pokedex sort of implies that there is more than one, the legendary birds are present in nearly every region, implying there is more than one of each, Mewtwo could be created again, Manaphy reproduces, there are multiple Shaymin iirc, pretty sure Meloetta reproduces, there are multiple Genesect,

Oh yeah! forgot about Hoenn (idiot moment)

There were multiple lugia, deoxys, manaphy, and entei in the anime, and it was implied that the ones i listed above reproduce.

Pretty sure dialga/palkia/arceus/giratina dont reproduce at all.

No duh dummy, they're like gods. They rule separate fields of existence in full, they ARE gods to be more exact. They don't need to reproduce, they're immortal!

Murdoc is indeed correct, groudon, Kyogre, and rayquaza live for thousands of years and are Literally supplied life by the earth, they live until they either can no longer be allowed to live by this planet, or the world ends. Pokemon like deoxys depict extra viruses, their are millions of them.

Well my role play character is perfected and can be posted to all!

Name- Jake Kurai (<--- hint, dats a Japanese word)

Age- 13

Gender- male

Race- white

Appearance- a tall boy, nearly 5.9 with medium length (just enough for small bangs) dirty blonde hair and gray-blue eyes. He is usually found wearing a long sleeved black shirt and dark blue jeans. His shoes are black sneakers. Although he is strong and quite fast his build is not particularly muscular.

Origin- all that is currently known of him is that he has a mother, father, brother, two cats, and a genetic father that had been divorced by his mother when Jake was around age 2.

He was born and raised in mossdeep city and witnessed the Team Magma rocket fuel heist.

His mother is a professional nurse and his current father is a war veteran sniper. He now runs a small car shop. His genetic father's work is unknown. His brother is only 8.

His first cat a large umbreon, was brought home from a shelter when Jake was 5. His second cat, a small meowth, was found inside the exhaust of his father's car when Jake was 12.

Skills/weaknesses- he is strong and fast but when put up against a stronger or more tactically skilled enemy he is quickly overpowered either by brute strength or not being able to withstand the more acrobatic or skilled fighting style of an opponent. He is not very good at escaping chokeholds but doesn't give up trying to escape any sort of hold very quickly and will fight until he is overpowered or simply defeated by the hold. He is skilled with throwing knives, knives in general, and very long ranged lethal non-throwing weapons such as a bow or rifle. He is great with explosives too. However he is the least reliable person to come to for usage of large weapons. He prefers to have the advantage of stealth and would rather subdue an enemy than fight them. He is relatively easy to subdue however. Shows a weakness to heat and being hit very hard. He has a huge fear of needles and cannot stay calm or keep his sanity when exposed to them. He is very weak to pressure points. He often doesn't take his friends or superiors advice, leading to issues or even failure at times.

Personality- normally he has a frisky and calm personality

He has mood swings that can interrupt situations and can turn them sour quickly, it also constantly is a pain for one of the moods he commonly swings to is timid and peaceful, the other most common is a more violent and sadistic and sarcastically rude personality, the other less common ones can be anxious, excited, or nervous etc. the reason for these swings is unknown.

Fighting style- he prefers to avoid confrontation of enemies and if he must he will use tactics and trickery over strength. He waits for the enemy to throw the first punches and tries to figure out and find the weakness of the enemy fighting style.

Type association- skilled with dark and dragon type pokemon. Very bad with electric and fairy pokemon.

Current rps- poke-people

-Name: Jon Gale

-Appearance/Characteristics:
Jon is 1,75 m tall (which is...>google> 5 feet, 30 inches), thin but fit.

His hair is dark and always messy, his eyes are somewhat between blue and green and he does not care much for aesthetics, using always a T-shirt, a old and battered jeans and a sailor rain coat that was his fathers. He's a very reclusive person, who doesn't trust anyone easily neither give up much about himself. Being so wary about other people sometimes leaves him insecure of what to do, and sometimes get him into trouble, but he's able to handle himself quite well in dangerous situations.
His abilities include orientation skills (his father was a sailor) and a good skill with spear, which he learnt by fishing with it.
His most redeeming quality is that, once he get's to trust someone, he trusts blindly and does wathever it takes to protect them.

-Birthday: April, 10. Age 18.

-Background:
Jon was only a little child when the Church came into his hometown, Sootopolis. He lived with his father, since his mother passed away some years before, leaving with them her Swampert, Kyte. His father, a diver and sailor, was against the Churchs rule, but accepted it to protect his son from harm. However he worked against it secretly. Jon knew his father was getting more pokémon and accidentaly told it to an agent of the church. The Church arrested his father, and Kyte fled with him. Since then he's been living with Kyte, hiding from the world and clutching to a desperate hope that he can still rescue his father.

All right, I'll give this a go. Feel free to critique as much as you want. This is a character I created years ago so it won't be perfect.

(Might as well trigger warning this, contains discussion of abuse)

-Name: Kaleb

-Age: 19

-Appearence
Dark skin, brown eyes, dark brown and messy hair (usually has to make do with cutting it on his own, doesn't have the time, money, or skill to properly care for it). Approximately 5'9". Lean. Not generally one for winning fist-fights (though that doesn't stop him from trying...). Often wears a baggy, dark green jacket and hole-y, tattered down pants. Cigarette burn scars on his arms (part of the reason he prefers to wear a jacket). Wears black, leather boots he stole a while back, as he needed a pair of shoes that would last long. Physically fit, but often sleep deprived or malnourished. Looks like a homeless/runaway kid from a bad neighborhood.

-Personality/Characteristics
Stand-offish, vulgar, bit of a prick really. He can be found smiling at half-past never and can be found angry or frustrated almost always. Difficult to get along with, few people really have the patience to put up with him. Temperamental, of course. Stubborn too. His pride gets in the way of him listening to reason. He's often compared to a Tauros because of this. Does, however, have a heart for weaker things as he's often felt like the underdog throughout his life. When it comes to something he cares about, he will get overprotective and controlling. There is little he does care about, though, or at least little he will admit to caring about.

-Background (generic, will make more specific if/when I join an RP)
Grew up in the rough part of Saffron city. Not exactly the slums, but definitely not paradise either. The only child of an unintended pregnancy that resulted in the death of his mother. His father became an alcoholic and blamed him for everything that went wrong with his life, abusing Kaleb and becoming the source of the aforementioned cigarette burn scars. He wasn't in this home for very long (he was placed in a foster care system around the age of 7 when his father eventually ran out on him), but he still never recovered from the abuse. Foster care wasn't much better. He was neglected and placed in a home with other boys who only made him rougher. By the age of 12, he ran away and took to supporting himself. The first Pokémon he met was a Mankey. Kaleb discovered him abandoned and felt close to him as he also had a bit of an anger problem. Eventually he named him Lars and they grew up together. Kaleb became somewhat proficient at battling with Lars, though they lost quite a few times in their day which caused Kaleb to take things out on Lars a bit more than he should have. When he was 16, Kaleb finally decided to start traveling with Lars and got out of Saffron City. He made it to Mt. Silver a year later, where he bonded with a Larvitar he found there. The Larvitar was a different color than most Pokémon around and she was also quite a bit weaker. Like with Lars, he got that and decided to protect it and keep it as part of his team. He named her Terry. Supposedly that was his mom's name. Lars and Terry became the only family Kaleb ever felt he really knew. Now 19 and having trained in Mt. Silver for 2 years, Kaleb's about ready to move on. Where he'll go, that'll become clear later.

RP Universe:
Pokeymanz, of course. I originally wrote him for a different Pokémon RP on an older forum (though I added a lot to the backstory that wasn't previously there) and I consider him to be pretty versatile. Hopefully I can find an RP that'll work for him.

I wouldn't call that "giving birth." You don't give birth to a program you create; you just create it.
