Alright. I was expecting Grookey to lose out to Sobble but Scorbunny?! Where's all the people for the Grookey Gang?! (Just in case, I'm just joking. I'm not serious about that.)

Call me crazy but I don't like being forced into one gender type for any pokemon. All the articles I'm reading are saying Sobble is female?!?!?! Can anyone confirm or deny this? I'm all for the Sobble Gang but not if its gonna be female/ have female specific evolutions like we got with the 7th gen water starter! Someone help sooth my soul please

So far, ALL starters had a male/female rate of 87.5%/12.5% regardless of the starter's look, so I doubt they'll make any starter a gender exclusive.
They did however changed the ratio of male/female to 88.1%/11.9% in gen8, but I think that happened cause the formula that calculated the gendered changed and this was the closer they could get to the previous one.

Lots of people fear for Scorbunny to be another member of the Fire/Fighting squad. In my opinion, it’s propably the one which has the closest chance to be the next Fairy Type starter as opposed to Sobble and Grookey. Let’s pry for this to happen
