Maelstrom Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 on a scale of 1-10 how beautiful is this? 7/10, too much miku. @ryan, sure. I'll have a little bit of time today but none at all tomorrow. I'm super rusty with gannon but DK and Ike are hard to fall out of practice with. Quote
Omega_Ra1der Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Well, lost both of my weekly matches. General, I need practice against your dedede. Quote
Another Felix Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Haven't played him in a while and pretty busy lately. Maybe over the weekend? Oh, how I wish customs were legal. The Miis are so much fun. Quote
Godot Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Some of these are a bit of a stretch, but mostly accurate as far as I can see. Quote

BrandonBeastMan Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Yo, guys, so I heard about "synergy" between mains and secondaries and such, I never really cared about it, but I decided to ask you guys how synergized my mains list is. Like, what are some weaknesses between my mains, and how can I fix it? My mains list: Lucario Greninja Yoshi Bowser If you notice any weaknesses that I should patch, please answer! Quote

My mains list: Lucario Greninja Yoshi Bowser If you notice any weaknesses that I should patch, please answer! realistically "synergy" is just total MU coverage , overall you shouldn't have much trouble since greninja covers well enough for yoshi/lucario as far as i know, and bowser has maybe one slightly better MU compared to the other 3. Also you may have issues w/ pika and shiek, whick can be dealt with through pure practice, since the MU for luc/gren for both isn't impossible Edited October 19, 2015 by Shadow Tack Quote
BrandonBeastMan Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Ah okay. Thanks! EDIT: Does anyone wanna play against me in 3DS? Edited October 19, 2015 by BrandonBeastMan Quote

It's hard to judge synergy when we don't know who you struggle against. Quote

Darvan Korematsu Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Taking what the guy above is saying about mains: I'm gonna be going to a relatively medium-small sized tournament in about 3 weeks and I wanted to know what exactly I should look out for. To be honest, my skill lies with Little Mac sadly, because his priority with most moves on the ground is just balling. I know most of his ins and outs, but I'd like to know who synergizes well with. To give you an idea: Amazing with: -Little Mac Good with: -Link Decent with: -King Dedede (seriously don't rip on him till you've seen me use him) Need to work on: -Sanik -ZS Sammy -Gannondorf -Mario Not really sure what to build a 3-fighter core around except Mac and Link, because of their synergy of raw power and speed vs range and tech moves. Who'd be best here. EDIT: I also tend to have a huge Captain Falcon problem. But it's more like me having to get out of the habit of rolling into his attacks. Shanco Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 A good Rosalina should dominate you.Expect trouble vs Ike and Luigi as well. Between Mac and Link, I honestly think your third character should be someone with disjoints and solid aerial prowess. Ganondorf is a good start, but to cover the Rosalina matchup you will probably want Marth. He can also zone and edgeguard, two things which will be very handy for you since Mac and Link are only meh at those at best. Quote

But it's more like me having to get out of the habit of rolling into his attacks. for the falcon thing, link really is supposed to beat falcon, you can just space him out forever and just use Bair and Nair to confirm kills and stuff for free, and he falls into Utilt strings nicely. overall i'd say use mac fairly sparingly and focus more on DDD/link in usage, since they have far less trouble with shiek and stuff, even though shiek is hard AF for link. main MU i'd "reccomend" mac in is fox. link can't beat fox unless the skill gap is insane. not sure what to say about DDD, main things i'd say for Falcon is to not panic roll/airdodge unless you want a knee of justice to your arse. and play extremely safe with all 3 characters. Shing Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Zero's streak got ended by Nairo. Finally nairo won, i was waiting for him. But really, Zero is still the best and will be for quite long time. Good job Zero. Also Esam's Samus vs Nairo's Dr Mario in semi final rofl. https://video-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hvideo-xtf1/v/t42.1790-2/12066622_10153721567409292_1599518810_n.mp4?efg=eyJybHIiOjg2MCwicmxhIjo1MTIsInZlbmNvZGVfdGFnIjoicWZfNDI2d19jcmZfMjNfbWFpbl8zLjBfcDFoY19zZCJ9&oh=5f463fe7452224dd94f23d3074744f04&oe=56248AFB Quote
Godot Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Mac loses to Mario, ROB, and Rosie really really bad. Quote
Darvan Korematsu Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I really don't struggle against Mario as Mac. That's morely because I've played against him to know the general across the board shenanigans. Rosie is a hit or miss because I've beaten decent Rosie players. ROB is another where I gotta encounter more good players of it to form a good opinion. (The few I have seen make him look OP asf) Quote

(The few I have seen make him look OP asf) Mac has an ask MU with Falcon since it is really easy for for them to kill or combo each other. Fox vs Mac is.... Really awk. Fox really struggles against those with priority and They are both fast fallers. I would argue that Mac would win here since Mac has elements of a heavyweight with the speed to match fox. Fox has absolutely no solid approach options against Mac either. Everything Mac does can beat or punish fox. Mario's Fireballs can annoy the crap out of Mac, and to top it all off, FLUDD and the cape is way too good at gimping Mac... Like holy suit good. Mac also is easy for Rosie and ROB to grab and throw offstage. The Luma and Spinning top screw up Max's recoveries a bit too easily. Quote
Shanco Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I hear more about "Mac beats Falcon" than the other way around. That is very skill dependent however; It's Falcon so he can effortlessly kill Mac off a single D-throw combo if Mac doesn't know how to get out of it. However Mac punishes Falcon far more easily because his ground punish options are far more abundant. Quote
Omega_Ra1der Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I don't usually complain about a character and this one could be beaten by zoning the air but I say: somewhat nerf kirby's f-smash because that thing comes out quick and kills at stupid percents. But if I am saying that its either decrease the priority, the damage or the ending lag. I came across a fg kirby, not really rolling but somewhat likes to spam f-smash because it is quick. I know I will get shut down so feel free to counter. Quote

Dark Desire Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 it actually has pretty good range since he dashes with it a bit but i would think his d-smash would be more annoying since you can combo into it with a fairly safe aerial Quote
