Im new hear, and i'd just like to ask if ash-greninja was added into episode seventeen as well new mega-stones 

I just started the game for real(was on and off with epi. 15) recently and most of the item, Pokemon and moves list I see are for episode 16

Im still early in the game, but id like to knw if there's stuff to look forward to.

Ash-Greninja wasn't added and it probably never will.

Ame won't add ash greninja because it just wouldn't make sense to have a mon linked to Ash in the game while Ash himself was never once in reborn. And the ball is still up in the air on whether she thinks it would be too broken (which it would be)

Ash is not the only one who has a Greninja with Battle Bond. Y in Pokemon Adventures also owns one, so I see no reason whatsoever to not implement it in the game.

Player-Greninja could be nice. Edit the sprite a little bit to fit with the player sprite chosen at the start of the game and boom, you're on track.

 

Secondly, I'm not so sure it would be broken. We're on a level 90 (?) cap with E17 ATM and things are only going to get crazier. It already baffles me that you only get magikarp at the lvl 85/14-15th gym mark when in all main series you could get one at around 30s/3-4th gym. 

 

This is just my two cents, and anyone can take it as they want (hell, you can even post down why you may think "insert Pokémon here" might be broken; but Reborn is already a harder game than main series. It does a lot of things right. But I can't help feeling like it takes many conservative steps.

 

So, to end, no Ash-Greninja is not in the game.

You know, it dumbfounds me, why do people bring up what the main games did and how they did it when considering why Reborn doesn't do it? Has anyone considered the problem isn't always how good the Pokemon is but how POPULAR it is? Why choose anything else when you can just pick this other one, Gyarados i believe the problem was it just steamrolls through the gyms, this could also be something that would happen with Battle Bond Greninja but it might also be too much popularity but it could also just be because it wouldn't fit who knows, but really, how the main games did something does not mean it should impact how things will be done in Reborn and i think it should be considered the main games primarily aimed at a younger audience so i'm pretty sure they would want to make sure lots of popular Pokemon are available early while also making sure competitive players can prepare their competitive teams easier.

I think the Gyarados example was because it became a meme to continue the quest, probably the first gyms would be easy (Well, not Julia's) butlater it wouldn't be an actual concern. As for Battle-bond Greninja, it's because it's considered too OP or battle breaking, for it having so little lore supporting its presence.
