As for the pizza, 99,9999% of the time, if a recipe comes from a specific country, then the original version is likely to be better than any imitation. This applies especially to Italy, since almost each of our 20 regions has its own cuisine (this is sometimes true even for individual cities). So, if you want the best possible pizza you should go to Naples (can't confirm personally). Maybe I'll make a thread on national cuisines if there isn't one Sorry but I felt involved.
