Your proudest Reborn battle moment(s)?

Lets gush about our amazing Pokemon in Reborn! Whether you're doing a type-themed run, a nuzlocke, or just enjoy vanilla Reborn, I wanna hear about your personal favorite victories.

I'll start with mine!

I had been struggling against the Blake and Fern vs Player Character and Shelly battle. I was so frustrated because, ugh, ice types have never given me this sort of struggle before. My current strategy was, each time, slowly getting me closer to my victory. I was just hoping I'd get lucky at this point.

I felt like this battle was gonna just end in another reset, and was feeling so stubborn at this point that I sent my starter, Serperior, out against Blake's ice types. I think he had about 3 or 4 left. Weavile was one of them, I remember that much.

Shockingly, Serperior was able to survive Weavile, and strike it down with a Leaf Storm. And then, good ol Contrary took effect. Leaf Storm took out his next Pokemon, and then, suddenly, Cassius was invincible. Outspeeding, Giga Draining his health back, and to my eternal surprise, my grass type had beaten an ice type specialist.

The battle against Ditto Arceus. Basically, the only pokemon in my party that could survive a Judgement was Chesnaught, so I used that to set Leech Seeds. Then I stalled using Spiky Shield and sacrificing pokemon until all PP of Judgement were over. At this point, Arceus only had Focus Miss, Shadow Ball and Recover, so all of its damage is blocked by Bulletproof. So I just spammed Seed Bomb until I killed the Arceus. Since that moment, my Chesnaught is called God Slayer.

The battle was like:

1) Spiky Shield. 9 Judgements left.

2) Leech Seed. I eat a Judgement and lose over 2/3 max HP. 8 Judgements left.

3) Spiky Shield. 7 Judgements left.

4) Change to something. Something dies. 6 Judgements left.

5) Spiky Shield. 5 Judgements left.

6) Change to something. Something dies. 4 Judgements left.

7) Spiky Shield. 3 Judgements left.

8) Change to something. Something dies. 2 Judgements left.

9) Spiky Shield. 1 Judgement left.

10) Change to something. Something dies. No Judgements left.

11...n) Spam Seed Bomb while Bulletproof tanks everything.

My proudest moment was when my Ampharos sacrificed itself to set up a Light Barrier against the Ditto Arceus, giving my starter Swampert the toughness he needed to weather the false gods attacks long enough to collapse the ceiling of the crystal cave they were fighting in on both of them via three Earthquakes.

I imagine it was quite a cinematic moment. The unstoppable foe defeated by teamwork and ingenuity.

Also, the cheesy lines basically write themselves.

Stale (Swampert): This is for Sideria (Ampharos)!

Dittoceus: No! This cannot be happening, I am a god!

Stale: Fake God! We'll go straight to the real Arceus together! EARTHQUAKE!!!

Battling Solaris the second time.

I will be honest and say I didn't expect to actually be fighting him. I remember how my heart was almost beating out of my chest. The end of the battle was him vs Florina (my Pokémon were all knocked out). He had his Garchomp (if I remember correctly) and she had Torterra, I believe. I was so afraid that I'd lose the fight, but then (somehow) Florina took that stupid goddamn dragon down!

I know it might sound like a very lame victory since I didn't finish him off myself, but it still is a moment I find memorable.

Another one I am truly proud of is (in my first run), when I FINALLY beat Ciel.

I was a total noob back then. Didn't understand type advantage nor stats nor natures. Remember, I had only played a few games at this time. My strategy was kill anything on the field. At most times, it worked.

Not with Ciel, however. Ciel was a punch in the face for me back then. I remember how I sat down with a pen and paper and wrote down which Pokémon in my party would go up against Ciel's Pokémon (this was after she'd defeated me like ... the 100th time, or so if felt like it). I had no money to buy healing items nor common candy (and I didn't think about selling my crap). Half of my team was overleveled (Delphox, Stoutland and Glaceon) and I was beyond frusturated.

If I remember my strategy correctly:

Delphox against Togekiss. He had iron tail up his sleeve.

Ampharos against Archeops. I think, I'm not sure, actually. Anyway, I'm guessing she used Thunder on the thing.

Stoutland against Noivern. Giga impact. No more needs to be said.

Floatzel against Talonflame. That is, until it (somehow) knocked it out and I sent Delphox out so the bird out kill itself with flare blitz.

Not sure who I sent out against Gliscor. I think I did use anyone expect Glaceon, since I was spearing her for the big bad one.

Delphox against M-Altaria. Halved its health with iron tail. M-Altaria knocked him out and I sent Glaceon out and had her use Blizzard.

I just remember my reaction after having finally beaten the one gym leader that seemed impossible. I screamed. Yes, I actually did scream. I feel sorry for my dad, having to listen to me.

Hmm, my proudest moment in Reborn. Well, probably when I won against Shade because Sturdy triggered on my Magneton. It was my last Pokémon left.

Another proud moment...

I'm aware that there are Pokémon which I shouldn't have just yet. That's because it's my second run which I started with the base forms of the Pokémon that I previously used, so I could focus more on my rotation for the upcoming Episode 16. Nothing overpowered, though.

... And yeah, there'll be that karma system which basically forces you to restart the game if you want to see everything, ugh. But anyway, I used Curse and Swagger to beat the RAWR--.. I mean, Garchomp.

I remember back when Aya was a legit pain in the ass to fight, and I thought during my Episode 15 run, she would still be difficult. However, what I didn't have my first time around was a Nidoking with Earth Power+Sheer Force.

I legit think he could have soloed this gym, since the only one who didn't die was Gengar. but then my lovely Scrafty came in and just Crunched the bastard.

I'd have to think harder for glorious moments, but just seeing Nidoking utterly mangle her team after all the stress I suffered earlier was just...theraputic. (Don't worry Aya I still love you)

welp ,my proudest moment would be raising a freaking Noibat from level 8 to 48

raising a Growlithe until she learn Flare Blitz which is at level 45

XD so my team was very weak back before those two evolve

the other four?

Greninja doesn't learn it's best move early on so he got a bit of a fall back

I failed to bring out Ampharos full power...

Leavanny somehow manage to become my strongest pokemon despite his weaknesses (he later even sacrifice himself trolling Ciel's Talonflame)

Meowstic (F) this is why soft resetting is important, people. Impish nature is not her friend!

I have two very proud moments.

One: when I beat that demonic Mewtwo. I had realized that my Absol couldn't one-punch it with sucker punch, and couldn't survive the first hit. none of my other pokemon could outspeed it, even my Noivern, who was never before beaten in speed stats without a choice scarf. I had to work out a strategy that in hindsight, might make me look terrible, but either way:

You catch a sturdy roggenrola and keep healing it until you force the Mewtwo to run out of moves. It was so relieving to finally get past the thing that had trolled me for close to 20 battles.

Second, when I beat Ciel.

I hadn't caught all the event pokemon my team has now. Instead, I had a few very powerful pokemon with some back-up 'mons as well. My Typhlosion, Noivern, and Vaporeon were the only three that had high enough levels to win. I taught Icy Wind to Vaporeon, and had to keep sacrificing my weaker pokemon to give her cotton candies. My Noivern one-hit K-O'd Ciels with draco plate boosted Dragon Pulse, and when Mega Altaria came out, I 2X Icy winded it, then sent in Typhlosion to use Eruption. Since he was faster and had a flame plate, it was a 2 hit KO.

it was then that I found out that I beat the game.

Uhmn... There was Charlotte´s battle, completely owned by Rain Dance Blissey with the rest of the team to back that monster up.

Beating Ditto Arceus with Rock Smash debufs from Sturdy Steelix and Swampert, followed by Lucario´s Close Combat (Yep, Lucario. Older episode).
Holding my own for quite some time against Solaris´ Garchomp using a Feather Dance Unfezant. Didn´t beat it, obviusly, but even then it was one hell of a fight.

And most important, every time I look at my box and see the army I got there. My best team of all time, for sure, and that makes me realize how much better I´ve become since I started playing it.

*is majorly stressed by the mere concept of Charlotte, seeing every good Youtuber struggle big-time*

*beats her in three tries, out of sheer dumb luck*

Also, beating Corey, Aya, and Ciel. Those three had me stuck on the story for the longest times. Even quit for a while after both poison leaders.

In that moment, I swear Hypno's power was infinite...

It's minor compared to some of these, but...

At the very end of the battle against Noel it was between his Blissey and my Arcanine. I go for a hail mary with Flare Blitz and...boom! Critical hit! Then I have to watch Arcanine's HP go down...

6 HP. Arcanine survived with 6 HP. That was easily the closest battle I've won so far.

Well, technically the closest I've had was the double against Solaris and his Orderly companion where I needed Flo to carry me at the end, but that one I blame on Florinia leading with the one Poke on her team without a grass-move to take out the Whiscash.
