The Swordsman Posted November 7, 2015 Share Posted November 7, 2015 we need to keep this going so how did everyone here get into RWBY i saw the first trailer at the end of RvB season 10 and thought "i really hope red vs blue isnt going to be replaced by some anime crap" however after seeing the animation i decided to give it a try and fell in love with it I was introduced to it after my brother handed me the season 1 dvd and said I had to watch it, I thanked him afterward. Of the main 4 girls, I believe I like everyone but Ruby, because her personality and voice was totally unexpected to me and I'm not fond of it . Sure they might censor language but they won't actively change the footage. I also like Yang, her type of personality is awesweet but sadly, I'd identify better with Blake, persona-wise. They do have the best designs of the 4 girls too On the censoring topic, I kinda doubt they'd specifically work to remove things like frills , balloonify boobs and so on just to have a typically japanese "experience". Looking for characters with fire flow. I saw the trailer at the end of RvB but I never really cared for RT past RvB but when a friend said the person in the yellow trailer had fire powers I figured I better follow up on it and so I decided to give the show a go. An amazing decision if I do say so myself I love RWBY its a great show the action is awesome the premise is amazing and the story has been solid and the fight scenes are actual fight seen. Not just half arsed attempts at some action like so many other anime shows try and pull. Also for anybody who cares my final conclusion in terms of Yang's eligibility for fire flow. Just Look at Emerald or Cinder, or any hint at shipping (that's also considered fanservice btw). i consider fan service to be when they push it yes some girls have a bit of cleavage showing but they never put emphasis on it heck a good deal of would be yang boob shots get blocked by her arm and with emerald her skin goes well with her outfit in a way that makes me forget shes wearing a fancy tube top (that might just be me) honestly the only time any of the outfits annoyed me was cinders infiltration outfit (fitting that the girl voiced by jessica nigri had this scene) and i still saw so many perverts in the youtube comments complain that it was nothing compared to what they have seen before and that the show sucked because of that lack of porn (HAH) i guess i only consider it fan service when i feel the artists are doing it on purpose so people can ogle at the characters hence it being a service for fans but i dont get that feeling at all from RWBY and it just looks like they are trying to give everyone an interesting look and the ship baiting is more just roosterteeth trolling the fans Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just recently finished the series currently and waiting for the next chapter, so yay.Sadly I have a four way tie for my top favorite female character. Blake, Yang, Pyrrha, and Nora. I dunno something about him feels so funny and great. Just he feels like an awesome version of the manic professor. ((also, his weapon is a flamethrower in this thermos, I mean... it'll keep whatever you put in there warm while you battle! So economic. I also called that shit.)) Of the main cast... I, don't really care for any of them. I don't hate them sure, but eh I dunno. The only one I really like character-wise personally is Blake. I just don't really care too much for the other three yet. Maybe as the series goes on I'll like them more but really at the moment they are just kinda there for me. I don't think there's a cast member I straight up don't like other than Cinder because I just don't like her voice actress... sounds like she's trying way to damn hard to sound evil and she just sounds ridiculous to me. Since I just watched the newest episode yesterday that stuff is pretty fresh on the mind, buuuut dang I really really like Qrow. Super fun character right there and he's like easily one of if not my favourite now. Not to mention that fight scene was probably easily the best in the series so far ((least imo.)). I'm still wondering what the heck his semblance is though. It's hard to tell since they kinda hinted at a lot of stuff without making it entirely obvious. ((he could possibly have speed like Ruby does, or something similar to Yang's. If you didn't notice his eyes were red the entire fight where as in the later scene following it they were grey in colour.)) SO who knows? Think my fav characters are Qrow, Blake, Oobleck. Zwei ((cause I mean... dog...)) and Torchwick((perfect smarmy villain, hope we get to see more of him XD.)). The others I all like or just feel like eh, they are a character. Winter vs Qrow fight was great (the music.... just, yes.), and I've noticed that a LOT of technical aspects have improved greatly, such as the camerawork and lighting of the scenes. After just watching the latest I'm reminded again of why I am not a big fan of the series. I don't mind that it breaks the normal episode releases and that is a series about the overall story of the world as opposed to the plot of just the characters. But everything in it is something that was already explained or is something that most of everyone who watches the show had already pieced together or could have pieced together without that side series.
