The boy said nothing more and so Dave shut his mouth as well. As minutes and minutes passed on and they walked in silence, Dave found himself starting to get annoyed at the lack of stimuli. Still, no way in hell was he gonna start a new discussion with this kid right now, not after what had happened, so he just continued following him, trying to entertain himself by looking around and enjoying the view whenever a decently looking girl passed them by.

Soon, he found himself at his destination. The kid walked off, pointing him towards the restaurant, and Dave thanked him briefly before turning his full attention to the main event. He was already goddamn hungry enough at that point, so he rushed to the restaurant, wiping off the saliva from his mouth with his sleeve before bashing the door open. Aaah, the scent of deep fried junk food immediately filled his nostrils as he entered and the heavy atmosphere of a buzzing restaurant filled with people made him feel at home. Finally, he was somewhere where familiar where he could feel comfortable...

Dave made his way through the rush and into the queue for the cash register. "Yo." He greeted the lady at the counter, his eyes brimming with glee as he peeked over her shoulder at the kitchen. When she asked him what he was gonna order, he turned his attention to her again. "Righ. I'll take this," He pointed at a menu option on the screen above. "Yes, the big one, yep. And then I'll have whatever is your special offer right now, along with an one extra big french fries and another coke." He paused for a moment to think of something. "Oh right, add one of those tortillas in there too. It's for here, yes." He thanked the cashier as she gave him his order politely and gave the money, making his way to one of the free tables. He took up a whole table for himself, of course, and looked at his feast. "Finally!" He said, rubbing his palms before practically tearing the package of the first sandwich open, grabbing him and taking a gluttonous bite out of it. Mmmm, the simphony on his tongue... this was heaven for Dave, the one true enjoyment he found in life: food.

As Dave was eating his food he heard a small voice to his left.

"Hey Mister that looks yummy."

Looking to his left he saw a young girl no older then twelve, with platinum blond hair and red eyes, wearing a frilly red dress just standing there smiling well staring at his food.

"Your right Rosy this is yummy."

This time another small voice coming from his right. Looking towards the voice he saw another young girl who looked identical to the other one but this time wearing a pink dress who had some of his fries in her small hand.

"Lilly you shouldn't take things without asking."

"Why not he has plenty and they are really yummy."

"Really okay then."

the girl in red started to take and eat some fries.

"See yummy right"

"Your right Lilly very yummy"

Before Dave could even react the two girls started to eat his extra order of fries. Happily enjoying them well holding there own conversation well paying no mind to Dave.

Dave enjoyed it all, every little bite, every time he felt his throat getting grazed by the fat from the meat... There was something in consuming food you knew was bad for you, something irresistibly tangible, some sensation... Because you know that you shouldn't do it, but it tastes so good that you just don't care. Such were the thoughts which raced through Dave's mind as he ate his sandwich, his late, uhm... after-lunch? Or was eating this much his definition of an afternoon snack? Well anyhow, there was nothing, absolutely nothing that would be able to distract him from finishing this fabulous meal! Not even if a meteor fell would Dave care enough to notice, not even if the world went to shi-

Dave's left ear suddenly twitched, like someone whispered something inelligible into it. No, that wasn't it... W-was someone talking to him? He raised his head, still munching on his bite, and locked eyes with a small girl. At first, overwhelmed by the girl's sudden appearance and her possible motives in conversing with him, along with the returning murmur of the busy restaurant, Dave had no idea what to think of it all, so he just stared at the girl in what could be described as an expression of utter disbelief. It wasn't until yet another voice came to his ear, this time his right ear, that he got a better grip on reality, his infatuation with the meal getting washed away like sand on the beach. He turned to his other side. A girl identical to the first one (just in a different outfit) stood at the other side of the table, holding in her hand... A couple of his fries!? W-what was she thinking! He wanted to shout at the girls to go away, but his mouth was still full of the sandwich and furthermore, words just wouldn't come to him. Like his bran was using its full capacity only to attempt to explain everything so it was unable to form cohesive sentences, much less speak the words. And so he could only watch the two girls, his eyes darting left and right from one to the other as they discussed whether taking his food would be ethically and morally correct. And all the while, his head was slowly starting to seethe.

Da hell were they doing!? In a moment of sentient struggle for control over his body, Dave somehow managed to gulp down his food and slam his fist against the table, effectively shaking it (as much as he could since it was nailed to the floor) and hopefully scaring the two girls away. His half-eaten sandwich nearly fell off as the table shook. "Hey, hey!!! What do you think you're doing!?"

Shou walked two more blocks before reaching the building in which he lived. His parents wouldn't be home at this time of day, both having their own jobs to attend to. He didn't take long inside; after all, he was only grabbing a set of prepacked clothing and changing into a more comfortable outfit: jeans and a white t-shirt, with an unbuttoned overshirt and his trusty black jacket over it all. A slight improvement in his mood showed on his face, now that the dreaded uniform was safely tucked into a bag at his waist, carried via a strap over his shoulder and across his body. The young mage headed back in the direction of the fast food restaurant, hopefully to his impromptu companion in an improved mood.

A few people looked over at Dave after he hit the table, but quickly went back the their eating. Both of the girls jumped with an eep and ran to the opposite side table from Dave crouching down so only the eyes and up could be seen, and started to talk among themselves again.

"The Big Mister is mad Rosy."

"Yes very mad Lily and mean. He hit the poor defenseless table "

"What should we do then?"

"Well when we get mad and start being mean. We get punished."

"We do, but how do we punish the Big Mister?"

"When we get punished they take away what we like Lily."

"Ooh so we take away what the Big Mister likes. Correct Rosy."

"Yep, Yep and do you know what that is."

"Yep, Yep."

The two girls stood up from there conversation with a mischievous look in their eyes.Faster then Dave could react the two girls grabbed the tray of food on opposite ends and ran towards the door, giggling the whole way.

What was with all the kids these days? Really, everybody new he got to meet was a kid and all of them, save for 'well-rounded distraction #2', were getting on his nerves. Furthermore these twins were the pinnacle of it all! Who said they could take his food!? Even if they were beggars, he still wouldn't have given them any of his food! So yes, Dave got his hopes up when the girls jumped up and darted off, he even grinned a little in satisfaction. However, when he saw them peeking at him from behind the table... Not only that, but they were talking again in their cutesy tootesy little goddamns voices again.

"The two of you, get the hell away from here! Where are you parents, eh!?" Dave stared at them in rage as he spoke, not really paying attention to what they were saying. His brain clicked into place when he actually registered part of their conversation. Punishment? They were gonna punish him?! By taking what he loved? These kids were effed up, seriously! What was wrong with them? They were planning on punishing him the same way someone, presumably their parents, punished them-by taking what they loved. But really, he had nothing to worry about, they all just met, there was no way for them to know which cords to strike to make him hurt, right? And then it all fell in place and Dave's beating heart froze.

Quickly and instantaneously, Dave reached out with his fist to smash at the plate in ordr to pin it down to the table, not caring which meal he'd crush that way (food was tasty in whichever form it came), but the twins were faster than him. His fist painfully stroke the table again and Dave winced, but not for long enough to lose track of them. "Hey you two, stop! What the hell!!?" He howled at them, getting up from the table in utter rage and panic (over losing the food). He looked at their direction. They were giggling and running with his food towards the exit!!! "Stop, you little bitches! Ow! Da hell!?" Dave fell over the chair, hitting his knee. "Oh, you're so gonna pay for this... Get back here!" Getting up, he started running towards them at an unexpectedly fast pace for such a big guy.

While Leivinia was listening to the others, she noticed that the vehicle was getting close enough to her destination that she could get there while taking a nice stroll to ponder certain things. She was fine walking the distance between where the vehicle was now and the barracks where she lived as a part of the AAS so she decided it would be fine to get off here. "Ah! Driver, would you mind pulling over? I would like to get off here."

Shortly after saying that, the vehicle pulled over. "It was nice talking to you all. I'll see you later in the evening, then." She said with a friendly smile before getting off the vehicle.

As the vehicle pulled away, she began to walk at her own pace over to the barracks. "She probably would not remember somebody like me." She said to herself before clenching her fist. "But that's no reason to not chase after her." She re-affirmed to herself with a smile as she continued to walk.

"The big mister is using vulgar words now. Lily what should we do?"

"Easy Rosy we just punish him more."

The two girls giggled to each other as they keep running out the restaurant having taken the food off the tray well running out the door. Once Dave got out the he noticed that their further punishment to him was to leave a trail of food on the ground well they ran away.

Dave could see the girls running easily through the people walking along the sidewalk well he had a much harder time because of his size. He saw them dropping the food behind them as they ran, before turning around a corner.

As Dave got near the corner he say two flashes one red one pink.Once he turned around the corner the girls were nowhere to be seen, but he did see what was left of his food in a pile on the ground with a piece of paper on it.

The paper said.

"We had to go mister so your punishment is over."

"Next time we meet we can play mister. You better be nice."

Now there was only two occupants of the car, soon to be one.

"We will be arriving at my abode in a few moments" Alice murmured as the car set off and, indeed, soon enough the car came to a stop again, outside of Alices current abode. She stepped out of the car, looking back and smiling politely at Liliana. "Good night. I look forward to working with you." She said in farewell before walking into the building, already anticipating what was to come. Alice felt the near future would be trying, to say the least.

W-what the actual hell!? They were gonna punish him some more? Like he already said, these kids were disturbed as f***! Still, the unrelenting, almost morbid curiosity to see what they had in store for him mixed with his rage made his force himself to run faster. However, as he burst through the door, stepping into something and looking what it was, his eyes widened. He had stepped onto a bitten patty of a burger, drenched in sauce and grease. Dave stopped immediately, sensing something break inside of him as he raised his foot, looking at the patty with eyes teared up from uncontained fury and grief, grief for the innocent burger that had to pay because of the two girls... Helpless, he crouched down beside the patty, picking it up with one hand as he raised his head and looked around-all over the ground, there were pieces of his meal, forming a trail which led away from the restaurant, and at its end, two girls were running off, giggling all the while as they drifted into the city crowd.

Dave clenched the patty, standing up with genuine tears in his eyes, but a pissed off frown on his face. "You-you're gonna pay for this..." He grinded his teeth. "You're gonna pay, goddamn you!!!" He started running after them, following the trail of food and pushing anyone who found themselves in his way. He followed the trail further away and into a corner. Now he had them! He thought to himself as he took the sharp turn, much to his knee's dismay, and rounded into the alley, only to be enveloped in a bright flash---

Dave held his arms up in front of his face instinctively, but the flashes dissipated as soon as they appeared and he could look down the street... only to see the two girl gone, and on the ground, a pile-a pile of his food, on the ground, along with a note. First thing which rushed through Dave's mind was not that the girls must've been mages, nono, the first thought that rushed through his mind was a picture of his smashing the two girls' heads into one another, laughing all the while as the made them suffer for what they did. And so, he made his way to the pile and the note, but as soon as he held it up, he frowned, tore it and threw it to the side... He stayed by the pile of food for a short while longer, unable to find the strenght to push himself forward, not after this stressful run, instead smashing his fist several times into the concrete in front of himself until it started to bleed. "Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!!"

---------------------------

Several minutes later, Dave stood up. His right fist was bruised and bloddied while his shirt was drenched in his sweat. He was breathing heavily, but he seemed to have regained his composure. He even managed to figure out that the girls must've been mages and he sort of wrote it down in the back of his head. They might've been dangerous, for all he knew, as they were clearly not quite normal, from how they behaved-like two parts of a whole, answering in succession. Now that he reminisced on it, it was creepy the way they did it.

Well, whatever, hopefully he was never gonna see them again and if he did... Oh boy, he was gonna end them. He thought to himself as he walked back to the restaurantto meet up with the kid, holding his beat up right fist in his left. He wasn't even hungry anymore, thanks to the girls. Even so, he was still holding onto the first patty they dropped-it sat quietly, greasing up his right pocket...

Shou reached the restaurant just as Dave returned to it, almost running into the man as they walked in opposite directions. He looked over his companion for a moment. Injured hand, covered in sweat, along with not-unexpected grease stains. Perhaps wisely, he decided to not question the man on his condition; he didn't seem to be the type that appreciated anyone else talking about him. At all. Ever. "Where should we go now?" he asked. They did still have to return to the place somehow. "We could just start walking back, return to where we stopped, go to my house and wait, or attempt to call the base."

Dave nearly tripped at the kid the way he just suddenly popped up infront of him. "Geez, watch where you're going, will ya please?" He told to kid in a clearly agitated voice. As much as he wasn't thinking about anything too important, the way his train of thought suddenly got interrupted by the kid, coupled with the leftover rage at the twins really put him on edge. He looked down at the kid and sighed. "You're not gonna ask me what happened?" He simply said, wincing and closing his eyes in a pained frown-the pain from his hand had only then started really getting to him.

"Asking you about yourself has only irritated you up to this point; it wouldn't make sense to inquire when you are already distressed." He really hoped that his short explanation didn't pinch any nerves; the topics that set Dave off didn't seem to have any tangible connections, so it was difficult to even speak to him. Or, at least, that's how Shou felt.

Dave chuckled, but it wasn't a happy chuckle. It was more of the 'this kid is so gonna be a goddamn handful' kind of chuckle. "Alright." He simply said, turning away from the kid to throw the patty into the dumpster. "You know, I'm kind of a mess right now and I've ruined my uniform so I think I should go home for now to get set." He continued, putting his hands into his pockets.

"I'll get a cab, you can do whatever you want." Dave added and flipped up a cellphone from his pocket. He was gonna call a cab and get home, leaving the kid, but if he wanted to come along in order to kill some time, he could always try and ask.

Shou shrugged and turned to walk back to his house without saying anything. What a strange person. At least Dave wasn't offended enough to injure him; even with the other man's bulk, Shou wasn't certain he could slip out of his grasp if he so desired. He briefly wondered about how he would get along with the rest of the task force; none of them seemed particularly hostile at first glance. His mind quickly returned to Hyperion Caster, however. I wonder what kind of diagnostics they're running. Why they couldn't just ask me, I have no idea. Still, maybe this is my chance to get a cartridge system installed, or see if that other mode is even compatible with her systems...

The vehicle was approaching the convent. Liliana got up slowly, moving toward the door.

A reason to be here...It would be nice to have one, I think.

The door hissed open, allowing her disembarkation. With a hurried pace, she moved towards the building. She might still be able to make it for the daily prayers.

After three hours or so the car picks you up at your house to take you back to Long Arch. Once you get there and return to the conference room you see Chrono and the Liese sisters. They greet you once more and motion for everyone to sit down.

Once everyone is seated Chrono stands up and starts speaking. “Once again thank you for joining Buster 3. Since everyone now has gotten their personal effects. We can begin. Before you will be able to go on missions you will be training in to different ways. The first will be as two units which you will be assigned to you tomorrow. The second is as a group that will come after the training as units. Each unit will commanded by one of the Liese sister. Aria will be commanding the Blast unit and Lotte will be commanding the Strike unit.” Chrono pauses a moment as Professor Connors and Maria enter the room carrying your devices.

Once they finished handing them back he continues. “Your training will begin tomorrow morning at six A.M. at the training field. Lights out for tonight will be at ten. Do any of you have any questions about anything before Liese’s show you around Long Arch?”

(y’all can ask questions without having to wait for me to post.)

Shou let out a small sigh. This wasn't exactly unusual, but the schedule was still annoying. He had an awful habit of staying up far too late, so morning training rarely worked out well for him. His feelings were offset by getting Hyperion Caster back, though. He clicked the bracelet around his wrist with alacrity, and then held it up close to his mouth. "Run a cursory diagnostic, and report to me once I ask." The boy's request was met with another slightly exasperated sigh, but the device refrained from further comment.

After this, he simply looked about at the others for the moment. The questions he did have would likely be answered on the tour.

Six A.M., huh. Leivinia pondered the time for a bit. It was pretty normal for training to start relatively early in the morning. She wondered what kind of training philosophy the combat instructors would have. Back whenever she was training in the AAS, her instructors always had the philosophy, If there is time to scold and yell at the trainees for little things, that time should be spent in mock combat, teaching them thoroughly and precisely that way.

Well, that didn't matter now. She'd find out soon enough. Leivinia put Severing Spark around her neck and softly said, "Welcome back."

She then focused on the Admiral and said, "I have no questions."

In the end, that was a lie. She was curious about how the two units were split up but the people in charge never tended to give that kind of information early.

"Is this ten pm curfew mandatory?" Alice asked curtly. If it had to be done it had to be done, but still following a routine set by someone else did not appeal to Alice. She had her own routine to adhere to and was happy that way. Besides, should the need to attend to matters past that time crop up, she'd like to know if she was running a risk by forgoing the curfew.

Liliana hung Eleganz around her neck, fingering her shape, then sat facing Chrono impassively, hands placed on her knees, a picture of manners and poise. She had no questions however. A timetable was something she had no problem adhering to: she had done it her whole life.

Dave went home, got a spare change of clothes to wear for now and prepared himself some frozen microwave pizza while he put his bruised hand into the ice to cool. He couldn't have been feeling worse at the time, those two girls really ruined his day... And his hand hurt like a b*** now!!! He sighed under his breath as he took a slice of pizza. Hopefully the rest of the day won't carry any new disappointments...

-----------------------------------

SIX AM!?!?!?!?!? SIX. EFFING. AM!!! Dave barely suppressed his urge to stand up and come bustling down at the commander with insults. These people were sick, sadistic asshats, jackasses, jerkfaces ever worse than the original jerkface!! And now they wanted to know if he had any questions!? Damn well he had! Like, don't they know humans should be left to sleep to their heart's content and not forced to do exercise (exercise out of all things!!!) at six in the morning! Dang... his stomach was not gonna be happy with this...

Dave stayed put as he clenched his device in his injured hand. The day really did manage to screw him over one more time. GG, day, GG.

Katsuo shrugged. He saw nothing to raise questions about. Though as the professor handed back the others' devices it occurred to him that he should see if they could work on his now.

"Hey, Professor Connors." He said, "Do you think you could do whatever you need to with Gwaedu now that I'm here? I'm sure she wouldn't mind having some work done if I'm around."

Gwaedu spun around happily to confirm this.

“Ah yes Mr. Katsuo you can just leave her here once you begin the tour and I will have Maria run it to you once we’re done. We should be done in an hour or so.” Professor Connors said.

Chrono waited to see if there where anymore questions before addressing Alice’s. Once he saw there where none he spoke “The time is more for you being in the living quarters then an actual curfew. You don’t need to go to bed at that time and you can use the showers and restrooms still, but I would suggest that you get to sleep early. Tomorrow will start with a bang.”He said with a smirk. “Now if there are not anymore questions then enjoy the tour. I have some work to do so the Liese’s will show you around.” He finished as the Liese’s stood up and gestured for you to fallow them.

The two sisters show you around the Long Arch facility. From the device workshop where Maria and Professor Connors where collecting data from Gwaedu which was floating in blue glowey orb on top of a stand in the middle of the room. The room was filled with boxes still being unpacked and papers. The next stop was the training field. They take you through a building to the outside next to the water where you see a platform of hexagons sitting on the water. After that they take you to the cafeteria which is a large room with many tables around which the kitchen staff was busy at work unpacking. After a few more rooms they finally take you the living quarters. They split up with Lotte taking the guys and Aria taking the girls to you rooms on the opposite side of the buildings and showing you the showers and restrooms. Your rooms each has one bunk bed and on twin bed on opposite sides of the room and two desks with lamps sitting next to the beds. Before they leave they ask if you had any questions.

Tomorrow will start with a bang meant that they were gonna start training right away, weren't they? Oh geez... At least the view wasn't bad, hehe. Dave thought to himself as he followed the two familiars on the tour, focusing his undivided attention to their swaying tails. He only glanced up from time to time on their stops. The device workshop immediately reminded him of his device. He was gonna go there to have it further modified, like he wanted to. The training field made him.wanna throw the bomb on the whole facility-not only were they meant for training (he wondered why the fields were only a set of hexagonal floating thingies, though; holograms, perhaps?), but they were also in the middle of the bay (yeah, he understood that it was to minimize possible collateral damage, but still)... Well, hopefully they were gonna have to swim over there as part of the morning practice... The part of the tour he most enjoyed was the cafeteria. He could already imagine the countless hours of enjoyment he would spend there... Were they gonna have dinner now?

And then they reached the living quarters. The building itself was nice even from the outside and it didn't prove any less impressive from the inside. Windows, lots of light, comfy, comfy beds... Even the restrooms looked nice. One of the cat ladies took them, the guys, to their room. As soon as the cat lady would have stepped out, Dave would smirk and walk over to the twin bed and sit on it. "I'll be taking this one, thank you very much." He announced, laying diagonally on it with his arms spread wide. Not only was this bed away from the jerkface and the kid, it was just the right size for Dave to be able to get fully comfortable on it. He sighed in blyss, letting himself sink into the soft mattress. At least he was right to get excited about the food and the settlement... It almost made up for having to train each day. Almost.
