No, you can find the EXP Share after the first Gym and the

Demon Galvantula.

You can interact with Melia's lab coat and find a card key, which you can use in the Gearen Labratory to open Melia's Room where the EXP Share is.

Oh, I forgot wild Pokemon can hold items.

Second ancient book is in Sheridan Wetlands. If I remember correctly, it can be distinguished from the other books lying on the ground because most of the books are black and the ancient book is brown.
