  1. You're right, Sleep Powder is more fair for the opponent. Sometimes, I forgot there is no sleep clause in game
  2. Hi folks ! It has been some time I haven't done an Aevian form on this discussion thread and I wanted to work on a new style I haven't done yet. Before presenting the new form, I need to explain the contest : Rejuvenation is a continuity concernning Fields mechanics. Plus, the game is known for having a complex history and lore. I wanted to create a Pokémon which reflects these 2 topics, so here is Aevian Banette ! Avant tout, Banette and its pre evolution will have a regional form, so I'll start with Shuppet. Pokedex Entry : Decades ago, it was a popular among the children. Nowadays, this subspecies is almost extinct. I won't detail more Shuppet but with its evolution they will have a softer design. This regional form will be like white dolls with blue eyes and some zippers for the evolution. Now a bit of lore about these two little guys : Before the cataclysm, there were no Ghost-type Shuppet and Banette. They were popular dolls every child wanted to have. But due to the cataclysm, most of them lost their owner, making them to feel anger and pain, leading them to become the Shuppet and Banette we currently know. Plus the Aevian Shuppet and Banette will be extremely rare since none remember how to craft them. I also decided to incorporate that notion in their evolution mechanic : A-Shuppet evolves into A-Banette with a level-up after reaching a high friendship cap. Here is the second Pokedex Entry : Only the most loving owner could have their Shuppet to evolve, becoming a delicacy. In return, it is highly faithful to their trainer and does everything in its power to support them. Once you gained the trust of your A-Shuppet, it evolves into a A-Banette able to support you the best it can. Of course, you've understood this regional form will be a support Pokémon. Type : Normal Base Stats : HP : 64 => 120 Atk : 115 => 55 Def : 65 => 66 Sp.Atk : 83 => 80 Sp.Def : 63 => 83 Speed : 65 => 51 Total BS : 455 Other data of the Pokémon : 1. Height : 0.90m 2. Weight : 0.99kg Ability : Adaptive Toolbox : The user takes a secondary type based on its first status move and uses it on entry. All Status moves of its type get priority. [The ability doesn't work on pivoting moves such as Parting Shot or Baton Pass] A-Banette will be a unique support Pokémon. It has decent stats while being extremely limited, but becomes far more versatile to help your team. Plus, the secondary typing will change depending on your needs. 0 Loving Burst Normal Special 90 100% 20 1 Covet Normal Physical 60 100% 20 1 Screech Normal Status — 85% 40 1 Seismic Toss Fighting Physical — 100% 20 1 Lucky Chant Normal Status — —% 30 4 Charm Fairy Status — 100% 20 7 Headbutt Normal Physical — 100% 15 10 Assist Normal Status — —% 20 13 Quick Attack Normal Physical 40 100% 30 16 Sleep Powder Grass Status — 75% 15 19 Knock Off Dark Physical 65 100% 20 22 Leech Seed Grass Status — 90% 10 26 Rapid Spin Noram Physical 50 100% 40 30 Hyper Voice Ghost Special 90 100% 10 34 Cotton Guard Grass Status — —% 10 40 Nature Power Normal Physical — —% 20 46 Recover Normal Status — —% 10 52 Glare Normal Status — 100% 30 58 Trick Psychic Status — 100% 10 64 Parting Shot Dark Status — 100% 20 Signature Move : Loving Burst BP : -- Type : Normal PP : 20 Acc : 100 The user unleashes a powerful blast. Of course, A-Banette gets a vaste movepool to support your team but it has some limits. Status moves gets priority only if they have the same typing as Banette ! Banette gets the Dark ? Beware of Taunt or Fast Parting Shot ! All the support movepool cannot be used in the same set while taking benefit from A-Banette ability, making it less effective in some situations compared to other Pokémons with the Prankster ability. Let's had to that A-Banette must communicate some information about its movepool if it wants to get a secondary typing. First, it will communicate its new typing, and reveal one of its moves ! Thats means you can get an idea of the movepool Banette could have. Let's take an example : You're facing an A-Banette with Normal / Dark typing ? Okay, don't try to set up on him, unless you have the Contrary ability, and destroy it with a Fighting move. Now, I'll show you some sets you can use : Overlay Setter Banette @ Amplified Rock Ability: Adaptive Toolbox EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Electric Terrain / Psychic Terrain / Grassy Terrain / Misty Terrain - Rising Voltage / Expanding Force / Sleep Powder / Loving Burst - Recover - Parting Shot Hazard Controller + Phazer Banette @ Leftovers Ability: Adaptive Toolbox EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Impish Nature - Roar - Stealth Rock - Rapid Spin - Parting Shot Weather Setter Banette @ Weather Rock Ability: Adaptive Toolbox EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Rain Dance - Weather Ball / Loving Burst - Glare - Parting Shot As you see, sometimes its vast movepool doesn't always work perfectly to complete a role and it'll suffer the 4 Moveslots Syndrom => Depending on the situation you would have needed another move (with priority or not). But like this, a well prepared A-Banette may shine by its utility :)
  3. Hi ! I saw in older posts a lot of people are talking about Dedenne and great utility during their runs. For me, Dedenne had a lot of utility with Electric Terrain. Just catching one with Plus + Rising Voltage and you have an offensive monster in early game. Even I, don't know its full potential in early game since when I did my run focused on Mono Electrik + Eletric Terrain, the Electric Terrain as an Overlay didn't interact with Plus & Minius abilities (It's currently working after I've post an intel to Rejuv Team). It has a decent speed tier and can become fearsome against Pokémon which don't resist Electrik attacks. Definitively a very good Pokémon for what it is.
  4. Honestly, I think the new Megas won't be added for the next update since we don't know yet the real abilities of the new Mega Pokémon. But yeah, it would be cool to see them in Rejuvenation, especially Mega Delphox for my Psychic Terrain Team. I think Mega-Scolipede could be a cool variation for Venam, but she actually uses Charizard, which needs to mega evolve to be clearly stronger.
  5. The problem is in the current version of the game, you cannot see the exact stats of your opponent. But you're in luck guys, cause I've took a while ago a screen of Delcatty's stats ;) You can find the screen in this topic I made a last year. Sorry if you cannot see the real Attack stat of Delcatty, but if I remember correctly, it's over 500.
  6. You're still breeding Pokémon ? In Rejuvenation, there is something more useful than that :The Technique contrat. With that, you can get access to some moves you can't have in the current version such as Move Tutor moves or TMs moves (Body Press, Calm Mind,...) Plus the egg moves will be available with the reminder move tutor once you've reached a specific point of the story. So I wouldn't worry about that if I were you. By the way, if you breed Pokémon only for perfect IVs, the game has 2 features for that. 1) Cells Imprint By collecting Black Prisms or Zygarde Cells and trade them to get Cells Imprints, you'll be able to maximize the IVs of your Pokémon. 2) A nurse in ... For 10k Pokedollars you'll be able to customize the IVs of one stat of your Pokémon, so it's 60k for all the stats. And it's pretty easy to get money at this point of the game, so don't worry for that. Finally, don't bother yourselft by breeding your Pokémon to get Egg moves and better IVs since the game has features allowing you to optimize your Pokémon ;)
  7. Hi everyone ! Welcome to a new sample topic ! Since I've finished runs with Monotype Teams based on the Elemental Terrains (Psychic, Electric, Grass and Fairy). I was thinking I'll continue with weather teams. Today, I'll showcase the Water Type. However, don't consider it as a sample Team. This team I'll just present Water Types I consider as a good choice for a Monotype Team, and especially if they're considered as "bad" Pokémon. Let's start ! The Water Type itself The Water type is obviously one of the best type of the game. It offers key resistances, few weaknesses and a very good unique typing. Let's say it : even a Pokémon with only a single typing can be good, especially for a defensive Pokémon. That's why some Pokémon like Alomomola is OU for example (not the reason, but yet). Offensively, it's pretty good too. With only the Water STAB, you can hit 71% of the Pokémon in game (Abilities such as Water Absorb is not taken into account here). Plus, only Water, Grass and Dragon Types resist Water Type attacks. So building a Monotype Water Team is pretty easy ? Dealing with the common weaknesses A good team must deal with Electric and Grass Types, offensively and defensively. Dealing with Electric Types is pretty easy. Swampert It's a reliable Pokémon which fits in many teams. Its key resistances and polyvalence allow you to play it as you want. Defensively, it offers very cool utility moves such as Stealth Rocks, Scald, Yawn, etc. Offensively, its mega evolution is very cool too. By the way I suggest you to use the rain in your team, since it offers a strong offensive presence. Whiscash It's not a better Pokémon compared to Swampert, but with its Crest it has some utility when you need to deal with Grass and Electric Types. Otherwise its options are pretty limited and struggle to deal good damage outside this situation Gastrodon Thanks to its shadow form available during Terajuma story, it's a very useful Pokémon. Thanks to the added moves Scorching Sand and Spikes, Gastrodon is less passive and provides utility for your team. In addition, it acts as an effective Special Wall when it's needed. For the Grass Type, it's a bit harder. Wiscash help to check Grass Types defensively, but struggle to beat them due to its limited coverage. But if you're open to the crest which change typing, you have more flexibility. Sawbuck With its crest, it becomes a Water/Grass Type Pokémon with a very cool design. With Sap Sipper, it provides a rare Grass Type immunity for your Team. It has a good offensive presence combined with Sword Danse (or Work up if you don't want to catch a Sawbuck with the Technique Contrat). Its Grass STAB deals with Water Types and with the Rain, a Water STAB Return can be deadly. The main issue is its fragility due to its defensive Stats and weaknesses. Here is a sample set : Sawsbuck @ Crest Ability: Sap Sipper EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Return - Horn Leech - Megahorn / Jump Kick / High Horsepower - Swords Dance Rain Sweepers A lot of Pokémon appreciate having an enhanced Water STAB to deal a huge bunch of damage, but for now I'll quote only 2 Swift Swim Pokémon since they benefit much more from the Rain. Floatzel I recommend this Pokémon over Barraskewda for 2 reasons : 1 : Floatzel is far easier to get 2 : Just Wave Crash Yep, Floatzel is slower and has a lower Base Stat Attack, but Wave Crash is so strong that it completely compensate these points. Here is a comparison : 252+ Atk Choice Band Barraskewda Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mew in Rain: 330-388 (96.7 - 113.7%) -- 75% chance to OHKO 252+ Atk Choice Band Floatzel Wave Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mew in Rain: 415-490 (121.7 - 143.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO Luvdisc Lol, it's the real reason why I made this topic. It's so frail it can be one shot by a lot of priority moves or faster Pokémon. BUT, oh my ! Its crest makes it so good it becomes a pleasure to play Luvdisc ! I'll show you a classic set for it : Luvdisc @ Crest Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest / Timid Nature - Scald / Brine - Icy Wind - Terrain Pulse / Draining Kiss / Hidden Power - Flip Turn With max hapiness, its moves reach 250 Base Power, so it's a good idea to use attacks with special effects. I recommend to use the Modest Nature since Luvdisc still has a terrible 40 Base Stat Special Attack. But combined with the Rain and the different effects of Fields, Luvdisc can be deadly. During my run, it was a win condition against Ryland (Thanks Scald), Crescent, Saki, and even the Space Hags (first try) ! Plus, with the rain active, it destroyed all Talon's Paragon Team ! Just try it !!! Honorable Mention This section gathers Pokémon that I consider OK tiers. They have their utility but with some time they start getting trouble with some major fights. A-Froslass A very good Pokémon to deal with Water Types. It doesn't provide Grass Type immunity and lacks bulk. However, it benefits a lot from rain to unleash devastating Water Sprout on opponents. Pretty good if you manage to get a A-Froslass with Leaf Storm. Plus, using Soak is usually a good move on Froslass. It makes easier for it to deal a good bunch of damage with Giga Drain too. Lumineon A very good Pokémon for the Part 1 of the Story. It's mandatory to catch a shadow Finneon to have access to Quiver Danse. With it, Lumineon can be a game changer for a lot of fights. The bad part is it loses interest due to the power crip and there is no Crest to change that. The Bulky Waters We reached the last part ! I'll show you here 2 Water Types I consider as pretty bulky, and with utility ! Empoleon Having Empoleon in a Mono Water Teams is always a good idea. With a huge utility movepool such as Toxik, Stealth Rocks, Defog, Toxik or even Flip Turn Empoleon acts as a swiss army knife while providing a lot of resistances and Grass Type immunity. By the way, it's also the best Pokémon to tank Freeze-Dry for the team, a huge threat to the Empoleon's teammates. And with Competitive, Empoleon can provide an offensive presence always welcomed in Rejuvenation. Vaporeon A real MVP during a Mono Water run in Rejuvenation. It doesn't provide key resistances to the team for dealing with Grass and Electric Types, but it doesn't matter for Vaporeon. I'll show you the set I used and you'll understand why : Vaporeon @ Interceptium-Z [Ice / Ground] Ability: Water Absorb / Hydratation EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA Bold Nature - Scald - Stored Power - Wish / Rest - Calm Mind With Calm Mind, Vaporeon can be a very dangerous set up sweeper if you manage to set up some Calm Mind. Combined with Stored Power, Vaporeon can deal a lot of damage to a lot of Water resistant Pokémons. And Vaporeon is finally a very good user of the Interceptium-Z. For example Elysia Shield helps to set up Vaporeon more freely and reinforce Stored Power. It's fini les amis ! It was the Pokémons I loved to use during my run, but I didn't test all Water Types Pokémon, so I may have missed very good teammates for a run, so let me know which Water Types you loved to use during your run ;)
  8. Obviously Grassy Terrain works better with a diversified team. When I tested each Elemental Terrain, I specifically ran a Monotype Team : Psychic for euh Psychic, Grass for Grassy, Fairy for Misty and Electrik for Electrik. The main drawback of the Grassy Terrain is it boosts mostly Grass Type Attacks. So when you need strong Grass Type attacks to cover Water, Ground and Rock Type Pokémon, it's a very useful tool indeed. But outside this the benefits are pretty limited. Especially when it's compared to Electrik Terrain, which boosts a better offensive Type, to Misty Terrain, which offers a good versatility (offensively and defensively), and to Psychic Terrain which offers the more firepower of the 4.
  9. If you don't kill her at the end of the Hidden Library quest, you'll have a different issue with her in Renegade. I let you discover that ;)
  10. Hi ! Did you complete the Honec Wood quest with the Inkay stuff ? It must be completed if you want to enter the castle and start the quest Edit : Restarting this quest is not possible sorry. But if you give more information on your progression, some people as I can help you
  11. Hi ! Acemaster is right, if I remember correctly, all your Pokémon will be able to learn egg moves with the Move Reminder when you're near to fight for your 13rd gym badge (around 80). You can get a rare move from a wild Litten with the Technique Contract (Mr Luck's). But it's after the Terajuma story arc. You'll need to be patient in both cases.
  12. I learnt something thanks to you. It was one of my question about Empoleon crest
  13. If I remember correctly, it's Ben who allows you to enter the castle. Did you do all the Ben's dialogues ? It's important to do that before entering the castle
  14. The questions asked by Zetta will be known if you made a complete run in 13.5. The answers if you want to discover what happens : I didn't play the game for a while, so I may have wrong
