  1. Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Give me a minute or two and I'll see if I have anything nice for you
  2. To add onto that, since I obsessively breed/EV train my team, power items add +8. Please, please, please use power items. Pokemon have 510 EVs total, with 252 EVs max in a stat. You could defeat 252 poochyenas to max out your attack EVs... or you could give your pokemon a Power Bracer and be done after 32 poochyenas. Power items, always! This guide doesn't have every location for EV training, but it splits things up by stats, so it's very handy. The next post in that thread links to a very complete list of EV spots, but it's sorted by location. Some additional tips that I found handy: As long as your pokemon receives experience, they also receive EVs. So if the spot you're EV training is too strong for your baby pokemon, you can always put it in front and immediately switch it out and it'll still get the EVs. If you make a mistake with your EVs, you can buy EV-lowering berries in the Obsidia Ward Shop on the 2nd floor ("friendship berries") (they are on the 8th floor in episode 17, moved to the second floor in episode 18). These will lower your EVs by -10 per berry and also increase the happiness of your pokemon. There are also reset discs in the Mosswater Market in Peridot, but idk too much about those. Power items give you +8 EVs in their stat regardless of what you're actually fighting. If your pokemon defeats a Poochyena, you get +1 attack EV; however, if your pokemon holds a Power Band (gives sp.def evs) when it defeats a Poochyena, it will receive +1 attack and +8 special defense! Which brings me to my time-saving tip... Save time by focusing on the harder stat first. Let's say I wanted to train my Bulbasaur to have EVs in HP and Sp.Def. Special defense training is annoying to me, it takes too long. So here's how I'd get it out of the way quickly. First, I give my Bulbasaur the proper Power Item (Power Band in this case). Now every time my Bulbasaur defeats a pokemon, it gets +8 sp.def guaranteed no matter what it fights. So I have it fight a ton of low-level mons without caring what EVs they actually give out. With a power item, it takes 32 wild pokemon to max out a stat, so even if my bulbasaur fights 32 Poochyenas, it'll still end up with 252 sp. def thanks to the power item I gave it. The useless 32 attack EVs the poochyenas gave can be easily erased with 4 kelpsey berries from Obsidia. I knocked out sp.def training super fast. My personal process goes something like this. Let's say I'm EV training a Slowbro. Figure out my Slowbro's EV spread ahead of time. I want it to defend against physical attacks, so I'll do 252 HP/252 def/4 sp.def. This is a personal preference, but grind in the Grand Hall so my Slowbro is high enough level to beat wild pokemon on its own. I hate switching out pokemon during EV training, too tedious! I have Lucky Egg/exp. share that make leveling way easier so I get my mons to level 50ish before I EV train, again that's just me though Erase junk EVs accumulated from grinding with EV-reduction berries in Obsidia Figure out which stat is more annoying to train. HP EVs mean I'm fighting wailmers and Def EV means I'm fighting low-level sandshrews/geodude and stuff in the cave. HP is harder for my slowbro, so I'll focus on HP first. Give slowbro a Power Weight (+8 HP EVs) <-------- most important step Go to the cave where I'll eventually train defense and have slowbro beat up every pokemon it can find. Geodudes, sandshrews, dunsparces, noibats, whatever. 32 dead mons later and my slowbro has 252 HP EVs. Erase junk EVs with EV-reducing berries Give slowbro a Power Belt (+8 Def EVs) Beat up pokemon that specifically give Defense EVs. I'm way more selective now. I only want geodudes/gravelers/sandshrews and such. I run from Noibats since they don't give what I want. Now my slowbro has 252 HP/252 Def Give slowbro a Power Band (+8 Sp.def Evs), fight a pokemon that gives defense. Since slowbro's already maxed out in defense, it won't get anymore defense EVs, but it'll get 6 sp.def EVs thus capping it out at 510 EVs maximum. Go back to the Grand Hall and level up my fully EV trained Slowbro to the rest of my team.
  3. My quest... has finally come to an end... i'm so happy
  4. ...out of shinies I've found while trying to find a life orb... I would have used the easiest way, but, well... (E16ish spoilers for an event mon) Not actually asking for help or anything, I'm just sad. I hope this is the spot to share this one moment from my playthrough, thanks
  5. Just so I'm safe, and so I understand, can I ask questions about E18 content in Reborn City forum if the title is non-spoilery and clearly marked as episode 18 content?
  6. Sometimes the pictures come to me in color and sometimes they don't, I dunno. I imagine they get together to take in the sunlight like this every day. Zarc, then Candy, yesiree. Again, thank you to everyone who requested something or looked through my stuff or what have you, I really appreciate it.
  7. I got what I need. Thank you, though.
  8. ...Looking for togepi! IVs don't matter. Can rapidly produce (all 4iv): Drilbur Electrike Stufful (w/ ice punch, stomping tantrum) Regular meowth Bunnelby
  9. Hey, I did a ton of this in Black 2! Even though this guide is for X/Y, a lot of the breeding process + the basics are still the same so it's a really, really good read. Some tips: Write down your goals. I like to know Nature, IVs, EVs, and moveset (especially if my pokemon needs egg moves). For example, let's say I wanted the following pokemon: Modest nature Hydreigon, 31 IVs in every stat but Attack, Dark Pulse/Roost/Flamethrower/Draco Meteor, 252 Special Attack/4 Special Defense/252 Speed EVs. As it says in that guide I linked, a pokemon with 5 out of 6 perfect IVs is perfectly fine. You don't need all 6 IVs unless it's for your own satisfaction. My example Hydreigon won't use any physical attacks, so I won't worry about breeding good Attack IVs at all. Get some helpful tools. Basically, the following: Flame Body/Magma Armor. If you have a pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in your party, eggs hatch in half the time. Destiny Knot. When held by a parent, a Destiny Knot selects 5 random IVs from the parents and passes them down to the baby. You use the Destiny Knot when you have parents with multiple good IVs. (Example: My Venusaur has 31 IVs in HP, Defense, Speed, and Special Attack. My Raticate has 31 IVs in HP, Speed, and Attack. If one of these pokemon holds a Destiny Knot, their baby has a chance to inherit 31 IVs in HP, Defense, Special Attack, Speed, and Attack!) Everstone. When held by a pokemon, it passes its nature to its baby 100% of the time. Once you actually have a parent with the nature you want, it's super easy to pass it on. Some Power Items. They speed up EV training dramatically, but they also have a use in breeding. When held by a pokemon, it passes down one specific IV to the baby. So, Power Lens passes down the Special Attack IV from the parent that holds it, Power ANklet passes speed, etc. I normally use these for EV training, not breeding tbh, but they have their uses. 90% of the time spent breeding is having one parent hold the Everstone to pass down nature and having one parent hold the Destiny Knot to pass down IVs from both parents. Anytime you get a baby that has better IVs than a parent, you replace the parent with the baby. You just make progressively better babies until you get the 5 IV pokemon you want.
  10. You are a delight ʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔ A blaziken and/or serperior as requested. They know exactly what they did to put themselves in this situation. ( ̄ε ̄〃)b not gonna lie these emoticon things are fun \(★^∀^★)/ Dan82, your time draws ever closer........ to getting your picture finished, thank you for requesting something. Zarc, the stars have foretold...... that I will draw you a Typhlosion, but after it's posted maybe hold off for 1 day in case someone else would like to request. I have doubts that anyone will, but just in case. I'm leaving both slots open in the first post since I am already halfway through with current requests.
  11. Zarc, that is a cool name that starts with a Z. Zeraora also starts with a Z. CONSPIRACY????????? It needed something to fight so I gave it a fightbuddy. The weekly forecast for Melemele Island is wild, uncontrollable bursts of lightning everywhere while these pokemon frolic, please stay in your home and protect your pets. Angelkitsune, you're next.......!!! and I mean that in the least ominous way possible.
  12. All requests finished! I'm taking a break from requests for a while, but I'll let you know when I start up again. Thanks for dropping by, everybody! I like drawing pokemon! I would like to draw a request or two if anyone is interested. Rules: 1) It must be pokemon fan art. 2) Currently I'll draw humans, but only if given a reference/a trainer class to work off of. 3) I reserve the right to refuse any request. 4) If you'd like to use my pictures anywhere, first thank you, secondly, please give credit somewhere. 5) I work full-time, so expect updates to be extremely slow. They also may or may not be in color. Current requests: (none)(break time) If there's no requests, then I'll just post whenever. I made this one about my mono-normal playthrough of Reborn. The pikachu pictured below isn't mine. Diggersby is SO gross, it's like a four way tie between seismitoad, barbaracle, klingklang, and this thing for grossest looking pokemon. Hits like a truck though. Coincidentally she also looks like she was hit by a truck, ba-dum-tish Also I drew this for the Delphox is Underappreciated thread: i didn't used to think delphox was cool, but she's all right. you're all right delphox
  13. Best of luck to Delphy and Flanary! It's funny, I actually like Typhlosion for all the reasons you like Delphox! It was my first starter in Silver, and it did what it needed to all game long. Not sure how fast and strong it actually was, but in my mind it was unstoppable. I kinda want to have Delphox as a starter now. (this is the silliest thing i've ever drawn, thank you delphox thread) (link to those who don't get the reference, do not waste 5 minutes of your life watching this)
  14. Hello, TheVentusX! It seems as if we have differing opinions on Delphox, and that's a wonderful thing to have in a discussion thread. If you're ever unsure on why someone feels differently from you, consider questioning their reasoning, like this: "From my point of view, Delphox's ears look cute! What don't you like about them?" That way, the other person can elaborate on their position. Implying that someone has "nothing more productive to do" is pretty rude and shuts down discussion instead of promoting it. (I think that Delphox's ear fur is a bit excessive, by the way. I'm of the minority in this thread, but that's quite all right!) Everyone, I've... found a newfound appreciation of Delphox! I always end up liking pokemon that I use in games or draw, so I challenged myself to draw our fox friend taking in all this appreciation: She's a cutie. I admit it! 5,000,000% ear fluff and all. I finally saw her for what she truly is... YET ANOTHER POKEMON DENIED BRAVE BIRD. WHERE'S MY SUPERSONIC SKYSTRIKE DELPHOX AT, GAMEFREAK?? WHERE'S HM02 FOR MY GIRL DELPHY????
  15. I am totally cool with people liking Delphox. I think this appreciation thread is great, the art is well done, and all the reasons are sound. It's just... her proportions plus the 5000% ear fluff makes the whole design unappealing to me. I think the best picture of Delphox posted here is this one, when it's posed like this (quote trimmed): So, to get into the spirit of this thread, I too appreciate this underappreciated pokemon (when it's posed differently or there's some adjustment to its long, human-like proportions, like the chibi art Zarc posted).
  16. Well, whenever you check back into the site again, I hope you have a chance to read this. I'm super glad you included your process here and a link to the material you were talking about. This is such an interesting piece! The wide, outspread wings are super evocative of Blake's work, but your own influence comes through loud and clear too. There's a lot of power and majesty in this pose, I think. I feel like if this were in one of the games, there'd be a cutscene devoted to it. Like, the player reaches the end of an ancient ruin only to find this engraving, and the camera slowly scrolls down it while ominous music plays and some other character is spouting off lore about Giratina! Anyway, again, this is super cool. I looked at the colored version on your Twitter and it became 400% more ominous, lol.
  17. I don't build/paint any models myself, but I've always been interested in seeing other people's work! Grats on doing your painting by hand. I think your colors turned out great. I know a bit more about Digimon than Gundam, so I'm really excited to see Omegamon here! VERY nice choice of color for the Metal Garurumon arm and the silver on War Greymon's horns. The "sword at camera" angle is also really cool.
  18. Ssssup y'all! It's uh, been a good long while since I've been on a Pokemon forum, but Reborn is a very entertaining game so I thought I'd join up. Very excited for Episode 18! I like baking, learning about animals, trying to learn Ruby, and playing vidya games, particularly Pokemon (?!?!?!), Monster Hunter, Sonic, and Dark Souls. I also like drawing a whole bunch! I'm trying to get back into the habit of it. I drew my squad from Reborn in my signature, actually! (I hope I got the code right to hide it. You just spoiler it, right? I SWEAR I'VE BEEN ON FORUMS BEFORE, EVERYONE) Anyway, nice to meet you all. Also, "Xanthous" means a yellow or yellow-brown coloration, if anyone was wondering.
