@seki108 There isn't much deal, but some people prefer to have specific Pokemon as one gender or the other. Sentimentality. If you grew up with a female Charizard you call Charla and you get the chance to have another Charmander in a later game, but it's male, it strips you of the chance of bringing back that old friend--unless you breed or soft reset for it. Same thing with natures, shininess, abilities, etc. Then for some people (like Wolfox) certain species just don't feel right as certain genders, like male Gardevoir or male Primarina. In my case, with Espeon being pink, it was feminine so having a male felt off, hence the SRing on XD/Colosseum. With Umbreon being (in multiple ways) Espeon's opposite, Umbreon therefore had to be male. After a while I stopped caring as much and now I'm fine with either.

Of course, for some Pokemon you need a specific gender to get evolutions or movesets, like Combee, Meowstic, Salandit, etc. but the same "sentimentalogic" still applies.

Yeah, gemstones, with quite a few birthstones actually. If you look at the names of birthstones quite a few are used in Reborn in some way. Opal, Citrine, Tanzan, Sapphire, Tourmaline, Peridot, Spinel...

But yeah, a bit daft. I'm pretty sure that it's the same for Eevee on Pokemon XD/Colosseum. The sheer number of soft resets I did for females was ridiculous, and if I remember correctly (with XD at least) you have to go through the whole beginning cutscene over and over again. I used to have a thing where Espeon had to be female and Umbreon male, so I'd SR for that -- and I remember SRing for at least an hour and getting the opposite, a male Espeon and female Umbreon. At which point I gave up and continued with the game.

They should make a third installment of XD/Col. Those were good games... Shadow Ultra Necrozma let's go

It's been a long time since I saw 'C' but WHY DID I FORGET THE NAME OF IT.

I've not seen Naruto but from what I've heard it's basically like Bleach, which I used to like but now really, really don't recommend. So I wouldn't recommend naruto either.

RWBY and Black Butler I can vouch for though. Both are good.

Try Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), InuYasha, RWBY, and Death Note. Was going to suggest FMA but you've already watched it. There's also Code Geass, Love Live! (I think), Naruto, One Punch Man, One Piece, but I haven't seen them. And there's one I'll quickly find the name of since I forgot.

According to a quick Google search: "As their Heart Gauges go down, they are able to regain some of their former moves. Once the Heart Gauge is completely empty, the Shadow Pokemon can be taken to Dr. Jenkel (only once, may fail) or to Eldest in Purify forest to completely purify it."
