  1. I do when battling Julia. And did the first time through as well. Afterward no, but until that point its extremely helpful.
  2. Jay had a Zigzagoon that was level 18... Why oh why did he not teach it mudsport?
  3. You're not stuck. Your problem is: You're going the wrong way. The gate doesn't open, and I don't believe it can be bypassed until later. Go back to the lab you crafted the mirror in. Outside of that lab you will be in the black version of the cavern. In that room will be a trio of glowing stones embedded in the wall. Interact with those, and shine the Darchlight Mirror on them. That will transform the cavern into the white version. There will be a bridge across the chasm in that version which you can cross to find your way forward.
  4. They're in four fixed places, but I don't know if there's a pattern to how they appear. They are all relatively south however. If you've reached the rail-yard you're too far north.
  5. Bretons. Because I like burning things.
  6. And you cannot get out until you beat it IIRC.
  7. So I've had more time to look at it this morning, something related to the Wispy Tower seems not to have triggered correctly. When I warp you to the version of it with the Entrance open Narcissa and Geara are waiting, but the doors can't be opened and all the Team Xen members seem to have already been fought. I unfortunately cannot fix this, since I don't know the programming behind Rejuvenation, and mucking about with it blind could mess things up worse. You should go ahead and post your issue here: And someone there will hopefully be more knowledgeable on the issue than I am.
  8. They did call Julia crazy, so they do kinda deserve whatever she does to them...
  9. Also, you know they mentioned they only count it as a loss if all five of them white out. Well, if they get that far I'm thinking Solaris will provide... Unless of course a rule's introduced allowing them to specifically bypass him. But if so then there's still El...
  10. They can all still get the Espurr/Minncino and Teddiursa. If any of them still have the Rose incense (which I don't think they do) they can get the Budew.

    Budew needed

It still is, no way is Ame programming a second event for her bitter enemy. You need the Rose Incense on a sunny or clear afternoon (I think). Budew will be running on the wall above the train tracks at the top of the Peridot Ward. Once you get back to the city though the event probably won't fire anymore. That's why I wanted to know where you are in the game.
  12. Hmm...I'm not sure then. The gyarados quest doesn't really have much to do with Narcissa's gym. Playing through the save it seems you don't have access to the area underneath the Wispy Tower though.
  13. Minior: I am become Death, the Destroyer of Teams. Edit: Also, at least one of them picked up on how screwed they are against Julia's Electric Terrain... Edit to the edit: Final thoughts, yeah...that was honestly about what I expected. That first Meteor sweep is where you really work out just what you're in for in this game. With lots, and lots of losses. Things aren't necessarily over, since there is at least one decent source of potion money they haven't found yet, but they haven't been investigated the objects to find the hidden vitamin that can be sold. So yeah, they might make it through Julia. But I don't know if they'll have enough Pokemon to fight through Victoria in Obsidia. Because there are no encounters between the two.

    Budew needed

Where are you? There's a Budew available at the beginning of the game.
  15. It used to be Clyde IIRC, but Ame replaces him with the speakers. Probably to keep people thinking about the character for her return to (and exit from) the main story.
  16. Accidental Double post, don't know how to delete it.
  17. If they're paying attention they'll know Florinia's going to be using Cradily. It appears int he cutscene with Sirius, as does Julia's Electrode.
  18. No problem. Took me ages to work out how to get through that place.
  19. These: When you interact with them it will ask you if you want to reflect light off the Darchlight mirror. Doing so will make the cavern change itself around. There are similiar rocks in the cavern's other form, but those will be black. You'll need to transform the cavern a couple times as the game goes on to get out.
  20. The spot you're at isn't correct. That gate doesn't open until later. You need to backtrack a bit and use the mirror to change the caverns around (look for the glowing rocks embedded in the wall). There are Bladestar Grunts waiting where you want to go.
  21. I mean...there's been stuff like that going all the way back to the beginning of Pokemon. In the anime you had religious symbols used (like Misty holding up a Crucifix at Gastly, the appearance of Santa Claus, etc.) that pretty clearly confirms that some form of Christianity was meant to exist in Pokemon. Which makes sense as Pokemon was originally meant to be our own world, but with this small area where you could find Pokemon. I'd say just accept that its Once and Future King style references. They aren't actually saying "Jesus Christ", but rather some equivalent figure who none of us would know since we don't know the context and history.
  22. Ame at least can mollify herself with hatred born of treachery.
