  1. Calvera, if she can get around to it, uses the Arcs of Death again, on any remaining enemies.
  2. Contagion stands from his crouched position, and straps his AK to his back again. He quickly approached Nader as he saw the man point his guns. "Woah woah woah, hold on bud. Let's just listen to the... for lack of better terms, alien for a moment." Contagion stepped out in front of the giant suit of armor, getting at least sorta in the way.
  3. Before: Calvera nodded, and approached Frostbrute. She laid her hands upon the chassis of the mechanical being, and heated her hands to heat the outer body of it. She took a step back and gave a slight smile. "Well, that should do it." Now: Calvera looked towards the being approaching. "Right uh..." Calvera uses Arcs of Death on an armed zombie. Use it a second time on a separate one.
  4. Contagion casts May The Gas Rise ((instantly poisoning that damn Ruler, yay)). Use AK on the Alien Ruler x2
  5. "I uhm... I use fire." Calvera nervously raised her hand, waving to Leo with very limited movement. She had stayed quiet until now, at the back of the group, primarily staring our into the darkness. She wasn't quite comfortable using her fire at the moment. It felt too soon. Maybe she could use that tome that she got not terribly long ago... that could be good.
  6. Upon pressing the button, despite the written warning, which at first nothing happens inside of the pod. After a moment, the pod jolts in several directions, causing some severe dizziness. Eventually it jerks forward, and you can feels the skin on your faces (Except for Ena) peel back to the point of hurting. After a few moments, the speed stops, and you jerk forward in your seats, stopped by the seatbelts from flying forward to the front of the pod. Below you, a barren-looking and rocky planet slowly turns. It's clearly has an atmosphere, so that's relieving, as your pods are currently bee-lining it for the surface, with no obvious controls aboard. Out in space, you spot absolutely colossal-sized 'H,' with a shining sphere in the middle of the shape. It looks menacingly upon the planet, as if plotting something. Your attention is quickly broken as the pods pierce into the atmosphere, flames quickly finding its way to the sides of the pods. Moments later, your pods strike the earth, surprisingly softly, considering you're still alive without a parachute. The doors fly off, colliding with each other in mid air. It's now, that the two groups lock eyes, appearing at the same time, presumably for the same purpose. And that purpose- Gunshots ring out in the distance, and it's now that you see a bunch of half-naked men running around with masks on, lifting axes in the air in the air screaming about gods-know-what. A few basic wooden structures and ramps are in the distance as well, with a giant bonfire ablaze amidst the structures. The figures are gathered around the fire, and on the accompanying structures. Above the fire, on a giant wooden stick going across the fire, are three figures. One massive, hairless dog looking creature with various spikes spouting out of its skin, a giant bird of some kind, and a smallish humanoid rat type individual? It's tail moves furiously as it struggles against the ropes tying it to the cooking stick.
  7. Calvera looks out the window, down at the ships. She notes the figures aboard, but remains silent, still upset about earlier, but calming down. A whole new world... joy.
  8. Contagion uses Burst Fire on one of the ADVENT Mechs. Use AK-47 to fire at the weakest Mech. Cast Toxin Cloud on all enemies.
  9. Contagion unstrapped his rifle, and looked to the others. "Well. I suppose there's no time like the present. Towards the lights, then?"
  10. Upon Freyja opening the pod, the door slowly lifts up, only to have confetti be sprayed from the top the outer shell of the pod, accompanied by the sound of a party horn. A projected hologram of a trapezoidal robot rolls towards the doorway, waving at Freya with one of it's arms. A rather annoying, yet excited sounded voice speaks, or rather yells out. "Greetings, Vaulthunters! We here on Pandora require your help! Wherever this damn piece of scrap ended up! Allow me to introduce myself! I am a CL4P-TP Steward Bot, but my friends call me Claptrap! That is... if they weren't dead, or existed in the first place! Anyways, I need you to come and help us against this bandit problem we have! They're killing everybody, which isn't highly unusual, or out of character, but certainly is worrisome! So whaddya say you climb in the hunk of space junk, and come down to Pandora to help? Maybe you can find the Vault, and make it worth your time! Not that many people return after trying to find it... but yeah, maybe YOU could! Just uh, hop on inside, close the door, and hit the big red button that says 'Do Not Press,' and you'll be on your way!" The robot's hologram reaches forward towards something unseen. "Okay, now how do I turn this blasted thing off! Oh, I see! No. No no no no no! Not that button! Ah, here we go-" The hologram disappears, allowing some ceiling lights in the pod to light up, as if it were a car.
  11. Nothing appears to happen at the poking of the escape pod, but from inside, a distant voice can be heard... repeating, by the sounds of it. Though, it is hard to tell from the outside. The blue light in the small window continues to flicker inside of the pod.
  12. As the bus drifts through the in-between, something metallic floats towards the group. It gets bigger as it approaches, revealing it to be some sort of... scuffed up yellow escape pod. On the side of it, are two white vertical bars painted on, with the midsection of the bars marked through with the word "Hyperion" in similar white paint. The white paint is slightly chipped, and worn, as if it's been aged by some erosion. Some rust also appears on some of the fine edges of the bolted down metal plates of the escape pod. On the side, there is a hatch, with a simple lever handle, and a small window. Anyone looking can see a small blue light coming from the other side of the window.
  13. As the Weatherlight drifts through the in-between, something metallic floats towards the group. It gets bigger as it approaches, revealing it to be some sort of... scuffed up yellow escape pod. The pod strikes the side of the ship, harmlessly tumbling slightly off to the side, after impact, appearing not to have caused any damage to the ship. However, the sound is heard throughout the ship. 14. Calvera continues to have her panic attack on the floor of the bus, being petted by Arminius. Her breathing slows only marginally, as she's comforted by her friend. Her thoughts continued on, about her uselessness, and her being a nuisance all things considered in this group. She considered the idea of retiring from this... mission, or whatever it was. This war. Settling down somewhere to live out her days. Alone. She was too much of a danger to those that she is near. Her raw destructive power... it wasn't good for anyone. She continued lightly rocking, and staring at the same spot of the floor silently.
  15. Contagion idly is sitting on the floor, loading rounds into a magazine for his rifle. He looks up at the new face, who introduced himself as Tim. He looked back down at his magazine. 30 rounds loaded, and counted. He grabbed his rifle, and loaded the magazine into the spot, then pulled back the action to load a round into the chamber. After that, he cheekily unloaded the mag, and loaded an extra bullet into the mag, before reloading. Thirty-one rounds. Shoot be plenty. He flipped the safety on, and strapped the rifle to his back upon him standing. He approached the one known as Tim, extending a hand. "Assuming you're here to help, a pleasure to meet you Tim. Name's Contagion. Or, at least, that's my code-name and superhero name."
  16. Calvera, now more upset upon the argument that had transpired, had tears now rolling down her cheeks once more. She knew this would be coming... and as she thought, she was not prepared for it mentally. Throughout the argument, she had clenched her face tightly, digging her nails into the flesh from the stress. The pressure enough was enough to draw a little blood on her forehead, until she heard enough, to which she stood up suddenly from her seat, to release that buildup of emotional pressure. "WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP! SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP! I TRIED MY FUCKING BEST, SORRY! I KNOW I FUCKED UP! CAN JUST FUCKING GET PAST IT YOU ASSHOLE! YOU DON'T THINK I FEEL GUILTY FOR ALMOST HITTING YOU WITH SOMETHING THAT I COULDN'T EXACTLY WARN YOU ABOUT BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO RUN OFF ALONE ALL HERO-LIKE!??! THAT I DON'T FEEL GUILTY FOR BLINDING EVERYONE IN THE SURROUNDING AREA?!? THAT I FUCKING BROKE LUCILLE, PRACTICALLY!?!? I'M OVER HERE JUST SURROUNDED IN GUILT, I DON'T NEED YOU TO REMIND ME OF HOW MUCH I FUCKED UP, BECAUSE I WAS FUCKING THERE, AND I HAD TO SEE THE FUCKING CONSEQUENCES FIRSTHAND, SO JUST FUCKING SHUT UP!" Calvera screamed, taking a sharp breath, as her heart rate rose, and she began to hyperventilate. She sunk to the floor by her seat, and just fell into the fetal position, and rocked lightly. The guilt was too much. The guilt... it was all she could think about. It occupied all of her thoughts, besides the obvious feeling of dread of even being on this journey. They'd do better without her, in her biased opinion. She was deadweight at this point. Too much of a safety hazard.
  17. Calvera didn't really make eye contact with Mirri through her speech. Though she felt every word, and listened intently. Through the tears, and through the bad thoughts. It must've been a couple minutes of solid mental processing, before Calvera gave almost any sort of reaction to Mirri. She sat up, albeit a bit slouched, and wiped the tears from her face. She tried to steady her breathing, but to no avail. Calvera turned her face, sniffling, and faced Mirri. She gave a small, and brief smile, and nodded. Her mouth opened, but no words came out. Her vocal chords failed her yet again, and she simply closed her lips, and nodded a slow nod again. While the effects weren't obvious, Mirri could tell Calvera was at least... a bit better off than she was before. At least, not the crying mess from before. Her breathing was still a tad ragged, and tears occasionally rolling down her already tear-streaked face. But, she continued to wipe them away. Calvera chuckled softly, before surprisingly cracking a joke. "I'm pretty sure... I got several billion years on you... but it's hard to tell with... with that armor." A small smile came upon her face, as she continued to look at Mirri. While the contents of her speech alluded Calvera for the most part, she understood the message.
  18. "I... I- o-okay..." Calvera nodded, her frown persisting. This time, tears let loose upon her face. She would quickly shuffle her way back the way she came. Back to the bus. Once aboard, she proceeded to find a nice quiet spot on the bus to contemplate her place. To contemplate her power, and how to wield it appropriately. She has a lot of... raw ability, and she needed to learn to control it. To harness it properly. Her tears continuing their slow rolls down her face, as she waited to depart. Mentally, she was not ready for what was certain to be a lot of yelling, or lecturing for her not to do that stuff again.
  19. Calvera frowned to herself, looking at her companions. She had caused them pain, and even maimed their senses, even if it was temporary. A wave of dread washed over her face and mind, causing her to think. Maybe she should also stay. Along with Mirri... she did cause this mess, at least. Even though she was trying to help, she probably caused more issues than she did help. And that's been that way for awhile now. A tear came to her eye, as she felt her emotions flood her. She could feel herself almost drowning in it. The guilt. She thought of how she should face the issues she has caused, and try to resolve them here. Face the consequences, and maybe somehow better prepare humanity on this world, for the possible reckoning that is to come from Soma's return. She could help hold back the tide. Or she could die, taking her punishment for the damage and trouble she had caused. Her gaze met the floor, the single tear falling from her face, and silently splashing against the ground. Her mouth opened, as if to speak, but no noise came forth but a small strain. Eventually, she managed to speak. "I... maybe I should stay too... t-to help clean up this mess I... made."
  20. "Kusuke... Kusuke was up there, near Soma. Prior to the blast... he might be on the roof or close in the surrounding area. I'm a bit too exhausted after that to check." Calvera groans from her headache, looking at her hands. How did she do that? That was so much more power she was used to outputting... it felt weird. She felt... depleted. Or at least, exhausted to the point that she felt almost disconnected from her powers.
  21. Calvera slowly finds her way to her feet, putting her hand to her head. She felt a bit exhausted after that one, with a quickly growing headache. "Is everyone... okay? Ugh..."
  22. "Well that was... unexpected. Uh... Not quite sure if I can follow. I'll try." Calvera charges her Neutron Beam!
  23. Upon helping with the armor, Contagion silently nodded, before heading off to find a space to call his own for the time being. He took a seat, and pulled out his plasma torch just to double check that it still worked. Once he saw that it did, he sighed contently, shutting his eyes for a moment, finally getting a rest.
  24. "Well, as cliche as it sounds, I am one with the fire. Literally. So yeah, I can control it very well." Calvera nods, smiling. "But I'll wait for Lucille to do her thing. Hopefully it works."
