  1. "Huh, neat." Calvera didn't know exactly how this essence worked, but Arminius seemed to be handy, so she shrugged.
  2. "Well, at the least, tunnels would probably be okay. I don't imagine dirt would exactly be unstable when having flames running through it... but yeah, I'll ask someone about the pipes, and see how long that would take." Calvera turns back to Arminius, and tilts her head. "Whatcha doing with that?"
  3. Calvera nods, and picks it up with a little struggle, but hands it over to Arminius. She dusts off her hands, and puts them in her pockets. "I think if we could make some fire-proof tubing that shoots up out of the ground, I can put a bunch of fire into the pipeline, and make a wall of fire, or something similar to that effect." She smiles a grin, as if she's proud of this thought.
  4. "Hmm. Vera... that's new. I kinda like it." She chuckled, before going silent again for about 10 minutes, almost as if she was asleep. Eventually, she sits back up, and stretches her arms up into the air, before slumping them back down. She stands, brushing off her jeans. "We should probably get heading back here soon. I'm sure there's preparation that we need to do for this siege. I actually had an idea I wanted to run by you for the defenses..."
  5. For a couple minutes, Calvera simply stared at the moving clouds above. A breeze blowing her hair back behind her, before slowly dying down, releasing the flowing hair to allow it to fall down to the back of her leather jacket. She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath, a small smile coming to her face. In this spot, she seemed at ease, as if she had been here before. She leaned into Arminius once again, and simply stayed there, her body heat being a bit more than any normal person but the reason for that was obvious. Her breathing was slow, calm, and regular, her shoulders rising and falling slowly with every breath. Before long, she opened her mouth and quietly spoke, with a very calm voice. "Thanks Armi."
  6. Calvera for a moment, looks to be holding back a smile, before she bursts out giggling. After a solid 30 seconds, she takes a couple deep breaths, and smiles at Arminius. "You're cute when you're flustered, Armi. I don't get why'd get that way talking about this though." She shrugged, and looked back up to the sky.
  7. "Companionship? How do you mean?" Calvera leaned up, tilting her head at Arminius as she sat up. She actually wasn't too sure what he meant by companionship.
  8. "Yeah, I guess you have a point... I had no way of knowing whether or not uhm... 'Soma,' was going to do anything." Calvera sighed, and leaned into Arminius, closing her eyes. She laughed shortly, shaking her head a couple times. "Who knew saving the Multiverse was going to be filled with drama?"
  9. Calvera nods, and takes his wrist for a moment, dragging him along with her, before letting go and just leading the way into the woods. Eventually, Arminius finds them in a comfortable spot with a rock in the middle of the clearing, the tree coverage primarily making shadow around the surrounding area, except for around the rock. She goes and has a seat on a part of the rock, smiling from the warmth of the sun, before clearing her throat. "Um... Well, I guess I just wanted to talk to you about what happened at that facility... the one where we lost Soma. I've had some time to think about what happened, specifically what happened in the lab. Me trying to stop Soma, and hurting or blinding everyone..." Calvera stopped for a moment, staring up into the sky. "I don't think I could ever forgive myself if I seriously injured anyone to the point of possibly... nevermind." She looked back to the man beside her, and sighed. "The point is, I feel really bad about what I did, even if it was for the right reasons. After Kusuke's words about me once we got back on the bus... I kinda broke down inside. Besides my breakdown on the bus, that is. I haven't really felt... safe to be myself, or express my opinions, much less talk at all. I've just been kinda shook, because all I want to do is help, and when I try to it's either not enough, or I fail in some spectacular way. And for someone who is supposed to help defend the entirety of everything, that's really draining." Calvera once again looked up to the sky, a tear rolling down her cheek, and more gleaming in her eyes. "I've been thinking on whether or not I should give up the fight myself, since I just seem to be more of a burden than anything for everyone... except you. For some reason, I can always come to you about these things, and I feel at home when I do it... it's an odd feeling that I don't quite know how to process. I can't imagine staying here, if it weren't for you, Armi. You're kinda keeping me grounded."
  10. Calvera awkwardly tapped her feet a few times, before tugging on Arminius' sleeve. She looks like she was gonna be sick from worry, as her face flushed, and she frowned. "Hey, mind if I talk to you for a second? I've had some stuff on my mind for the past couple days."
  11. Snow would step off of the bus, seemingly unfazed by what just went down. Between the fight, and the argument after, she did not falter. Nor would she ever, unless she was given the sweet release of death, but this thought was kept to her. While she did feel bad for the fallen and twisted hero, and how she came to be a foe, she had no mercy for her enemies in the field of battle or afterwards. Snow learned early that showing mercy did not always work out in her own favor. Unneeded bloodshed, especially with evil beings like the twist Jeanne, when they're given mercy. She walked calmly to an area of the courtyard where she could take a seat, taking out a rag to begin wiping off and polishing her armor and weapon. Her gaze looked around to the soldiers milling about, and then to her... new compatriots. She looked to the faerie, wondering what exactly something of her nature was doing here, they tend to not be fighters, at least where Snow was from. It intrigued her, but she need not let her gaze linger too long, as she began looking to the sky in wonder of what the multiverse had in store for her next.
  12. Calvera, finally returning to the group from her relaxation, spots the two newcomers. One, was the girl covered in dirt, asking for assistance, and talking of magic. The other, someone who prophesied their coming to this world. She didn't quite know how to take it all in, so she quietly walked up to Arminius, giving him a slight bump on the arm with hers, a slight smile forming to her face. She mouthed ad voiceless 'hey,' before turning her attention to the new people on hand. She presumed one was the dryad they were waiting on, the other... well, given how people have randomly popped up, probably something to do with their ever-present goal.
  13. Contagion takes cover, and pulls out a canister of a brown thick liquid, he had a plan for this damn giant robot. He first focused his gas, to help out his allies out on the field, then proceeded with his plan. 1.) Cast Hideaway on Nader and Frigus (cannot be targeted until they attack, grants 10% base dodge chance while in the cloud, extra 5% from Mad Scientist) 2.) Burst Fire the mofo (3d6 + (10) + 4 weapon damage on each successful attack) 3.) Fire with the AK (3d6 + (10) + 4 damage) ((if it applies this turn.)) (Active Passives: +4 DEX for 3 turns, +10% dodge chance.) Loadout:
  14. Contagion stood up, now holding his head. "Well, that was about the weirdest thing to happen to me... yeah, I'm good. Bit shook up, but nothing wrong besides that."
  15. Upon arriving back to the village, Calvera found herself at the riverside, deciding to practice her... well, control of her powers. She started with some controlled burns, dousing anything with water from the river when it came to that. She looked to the trees, the beauty of nature, and as she heard the songbirds, she smiled. Her thoughts went to Arminius and how she thought he might enjoy the silent noise of the wilderness. Calvera shook her head, and went back to practicing. Once everything was said and done, she gained [2 SYN] for her efforts. With her practicing done, she returned to the comforts of the village, finding herself at the tavern with a glass of water, twiddling her thumbs out of boredom.
  16. "The only thing I can compare it to... well, is an artifact that Hyperion executives found before. I'm not sure about the nature of it, but it has similar energy readings to that of a Vault Key fragment. Intriguing that one would be directly below, but weirder things have happened." ORION strokes his chin, before the distant sound of moaning and creaking metal sounds out through the bay. "I've opened up the service hatch below in the generator room, that leads to the exposed area that leads to the tunnels. I believe there's lighting equipment down right inside of the service hatch entrance."
  17. "Look, all I was briefed on here was that there was help needed. And I'm not going to respect something that did... well, this." Snow gestured to the morphed bodies, and the burned village. "I don't particularly care if you respect me or not, but I did what I did." She turned from the conversation, and followed Spicy onto the bus.
  18. Snow simply stared back at Mitsurugi, and shrugged. "Normal Joan is a fine woman. I respect a woman with a strong will, and a rightful cause. But that monstrosity that we fought, that was not the legend of old." She didn't necessarily feel bad for spitting on her enemy, but didn't have the right image to the others as Joan returned to normal. She mentally shrugged it off, and slung her giant weapon onto her back.
  19. "Thanks..." Calvera scratched the side of her head. She hadn't particular paid attention to how strong Lucille was getting... the once innocent and almost helpless blind girl that Calvera met however many days ago, now creating dragons, and binding powerful creatures. This is kind of what Calvera strived to be. Strong and powerful. Not for her own gain, but for the sake of the group. Her near-death situation she was just in hit her momentarily, and for some reason she thought of Arminius. But, as to not linger too long on idle thoughts, she turned to the rest of the group. She laughed lightly and smiled. "We should get moving. I'd rather not get beat up again today, y'know?"
  20. "I'm uh... I'm doing kind of poorly over here." Calvera grabbed her arm, and winced in pain. The adrenaline was wearing off, and the pain was coming to her.
  21. "I FEAR YOU NOT, VILE BEASTS!" Calvera, now a figure of pure fire and immense heat, rages with her flames. Cast Gravity Well on 2 Weaver Swarms, and a Borean Weaver.
  22. "I would REALLY appreciate it, if we could kill this now!" Calvera's hand instantly goes to her arm upon getting hit, she's getting a bit pissed. Calvera uses Neutron (if she dips below 50% hp.) otherwise, use Sun Boil again.
  23. Calvera notes the crater, and grins. Sun Boil again on the same spot.
