  1. I've earned my sixth badge and located Amber for her mother, but have no idea of where to find Venam and the stolen CD. (The last place I saw her was the rangers' office outside Kakori Village, but she isn't there now.) Could you please help me locate Venam? Many thanks for being patient with me!
  2. Amen. By the time I found Douse on that island, most of my Water types got better moves just from leveling up. For Pete's sake, NPC-only moves are as unfair as NPC-only species; as long as a move isn't exclusive to some legendary, all of a player's eligible Pokémon (in terms of species and level) should be able to learn that move. (On a related note: Will a future version ever include all the "standard" Gen 7 TM's? I miss being able to teach Smart Strike and Steel Wing without hacking my team.)
  3. By now I've found the hidden cave and dug through my cell wall in prison; but those darned guards keep spotting me and sending me back. How do I evade them?
  4. I finally made it into Akuwa Town (Nim is one annoying trickster, especially with the terrain on her side). Deven's goons have flown me to Blacksteeple Castle. How do I open access to the rest of the castle grounds after exploring the quarry? EDIT: I've gotten as far as the castle library; the only readable book in there ("The Queen and Her Hero") doesn't have a purple cover as Saki implies. Am I overlooking a different location? I haven't seen the other prisoners since Saki gave me that line about the library.

I found the general area where Mosely lost her keys (thanks to the Itemfinder), but still don't know (a) how to pick up invisible objects, or (b) which specific spot the keys are in (since the Itemfinder doesn't show direction from the activated spot). Could a more experienced player please locate the keys for me?
  6. After winning my third badge from Marianette and getting teleported to the Deep Sewers, I become completely invisible and can't keep track of where I'm going. (I'm running v9 with Patch 10 plus KisuoX's mod, if that helps.) How do I become visible again, short of beginning a brand-new game?
  7. Cool -- do any of the fan sites/wikis out there have a list of former TM moves and when they lost that status? I'm using Generation IV as my cutoff point because (a) that's when I began playing. and (b) I don't want to go crazy scattering 255+ TMs all over the Thule Region. (The casino in one city, the main shopping street in another city, and maybe 2-3 "antique shops" in smaller towns will divide older TMs between them.)

Three questions about TMs/HMs in Essentials 17, since I would like my fan-game project to revive some older rules: Is there a list of TMs from Gen 4/Gen 5 that lost that status in the newer games? I'd love to have them return as TMs in my project (yes, the Thule region attracts lots of history-buff trainers). Are HMs still doable in Essentials 17? I miss being able to train my own team to travel around instead of paging a ride service. Is there a way to re-allow inherited TMs and HMs in breeding? Those super-eggs make great gifts!
  9. BTW, where are the Ice Rock (for evolving Glaceon) and the Moss Rock (for evolving Leafeon) on the overworld map? If I missed them scanning the Gen 4 listings, please excuse my stupid question; if the rocks haven't been placed yet, please add them to the next update. Thank you!
  10. EDIT: Didn't see the "they'll all be available eventually" reply. Of course the devteam needs to come up with suitable locations/events first; might I suggest a cloning project for Solosis' line?

Tell me about it...I've used KisuoX's debug script to put together batches of Mystery Gifts for the species that were axed or restricted to NPC trainers, I won't add in legendaries or Ultra Beasts, and I won't give anything a move it can't get ordinarily (by leveling, breeding, or the Gen 6 TM/HM list). Other than that, any axed species is fair game for a gift-hack; I can create the file for you if you PM the stats.
  12. If Beldum exists (well, one does) in Rejuv 9...is the only thing that keeps it from evolving, the player's inability to snag that Beldum with a broken machine? (I haven't earned my third badge yet, so I never found out whether that Akuwa City engineer can fix the snag machine.)
  13. Hmmm...I've had Essentials in the RMXP program folder all this time; it's supposed to go somewhere else? I'll move Essentials and see if that helps. (I'll also turn on compatibility settings for XP/Service Pack 3, since I'm running Windows 10.)
  14. Since a data file was mentioned in the error message, I thought I'd give that a shot. I searched Google first, to see whether Win10 used different instructions for disabling DEP (only a few differences exist). The "essential Windows programs/services only" button was already chosen, so I switched to "all programs EXCEPT the ones I select" and added the RMXP/Pokémon Essentials apps to the list manually. (The animation-maker couldn't be added because I've got a 64-bit system; my original error message refers to a file that the animation program must use.) I was hoping that the errors would stop, but another test run gave me the same blank screen and dialogue box as before. P.S. Weirdly enough, I can turn on debugging from inside an existing game, if I have the script for it; I discovered that while playing Rejuvenation 9 with KisuoX's script. But I can't debug from outside a game (which makes adding brand-new content impossible); I wonder what makes the difference?
  15. Unblocked RMXP {the firewall configuration allows doing that for apps, but not .dat files). Still getting the same empty screen/error message (word for word).
  16. I'm trying to create a new fangame using RMXP 1.05, Essentials 16.2, and Windows 10.   17. Dang, that debug-mode script is the only way to evolve my catch so far...any chance of the developers letting a vendor sell Whipped Dreams in version 10? ;-) (I'd script one in, if I could get Essentials and RMXP to work properly -- but that belongs in a different section.)
  18. Uhhh, doesn't Swirlix (catchable on Route 2) still evolve into Slurpuff in this game? If it does, the Gen VI section should say so.
  19. QUESTIONS: I miss some of the non-legendary, non-Uber species that were axed from this game. Since I have RMXP and version 16 of Essentials, I've considered hacking those species back into the game (even if they're only obtainable as jackpot starters, casino prizes, or NPC gifts). Would the developers allow this hack as long as I didn't distribute it anywhere as a rival version, and didn't claim credit for their work? *keeping her fingers crossed hopefully* If I do get permission, will I need the PBS files from Version 9? (I know the .rxproj file is a must.) Would I also need the sprites and other artwork for the axed species?
  20. Dang...no Skarmory? My favorite non-legendary got axed...if I had the PBS files for this game, I'd hack it back in as a jackpot starter at least.

  22. Screech...how many players let Lucario use that? *lol* (If you could tweak a couple of his IVs too, I'd be extremely grateful...not necessarily straight 31's, but that 9 Defense and 0 Special Defense feel like a target on this guy's back.) Thanks for the editing job!
  23. Finally got hold of Spork 4 (yay!) Is there a way to import my savefile from 3.5? Losing all those badges and my high-level team would stink. P.S. Did the happiness-evolution bug get fixed in this version? If my old savefile still works, I've got a very high-level Riolu who needs to grow up and learn Aura Sphere. Game.rxdata
  24. I finally found and defeated Nim; currently, I'm lost in Amethyst Cave and hunting for the Sheridan exit. (I've already beaten Zetta and Code:Materna.) The only northern exit I've found so far is one that traps me behind some cuttable trees; since the HM for Cut isn't available yet, I assume that's the wrong way. Does anyone have a map of the cave and/or a list of which switches in the cave do what? Thank you again!
