Well you have soot Pete. So he is white but looks completely black because he enters so much chimneys. Black on the outisde, white on the inside. So he is basically Black Pete in denial.

Then you Soot smudge Pete. Basically he is white with black stripes (agin of the chimneys). So he is a little bit of black enough to be "Black Pete".

The dutch have multicolored petes or something but they get scrapped too.

To me everytime it gets more silly.
