  1. Aquila sends the skirmisher out the door of the ship. He walks over to the loot with the man's clothes and items. 1 Assault Rifle (2d6 + dex damage), 1 Biotic Field Projector (Once per encounter, heal 3 targets 2d8 + int HP), 1 Body Armor (+3 resistance) and one set of Talon Skirmisher clothes added to the loot pile. He eventually runs back inside to find Nader, struck by an idea with all the armor.
  2. Arminius sighs at the dead Vajra. What a senseless waste of essence. With a shrug he gets back onto the bus to go back to chatting and relaxing.
  3. The Sheriff stares at the pad for a few seconds. It had been a while since he had needed to read and it was in a language he hadn't used in a bit too boot. That said, he nods and looks up to the alien. "Take it that you don't do this very often then? That tends to be a fairly normal reaction from newbies as far as I know at least."
  4. Having cut the man out, Aquila pats him on the shoulder. "Alright, now before you go anywhere I'm gonna need your... well, everything you have on you of use. I'm sure you understand that we can't just let you go with equipment on you." His tone is polite enough.
  5. Arminius didn't know how to react for a moment. The last time a strange woman complimented him on his eyes with a paintbrush in hand... He shakes himself of the slightly awkward memory. "I didn't actually pick these out. My commander did. She likes oranges and reds, kind of her "Thing" you know? Anyways, yeah that looks like it's getting pretty nasty... I'll go give them a talking to." He gets up and pauses to look at Alyssa. "I'd offer to trade info on what we each can do but I figure we're going to do that real quick anyways." Arminius enter the battle with fingers. Arminius Steals a bit of essence from the Vajra. Fingers protects the master.
  6. The sheriff tilts his hat as he takes a seat. He just watches her for a few moments before finally speaking, deciding that the shy one wasn't about to strike up a conversation. "Good win back there. Didn't really see it coming." He sounds pleasant enough as he speaks.
  7. "Not a show by the way, Jun is just overly casual about our companions fighting off... whatever those are. Not that I'm one to talk really." Arminius sits up in his seat to greet the new comer. "I'm Arminius. I take it you're hear to save the multiverse as well? Ebon must have been busy, she briefs all the newbies in some way according to the last two."
  8. Aquila stares for a moment, looking like he remembered something awkward before pulling out his own knife to cut the man free. His is a decently sized, practical one and someone well versed in historical design would probably find it to be of a viking design. Then he gets to work, seeming a bit more skittish around the woman. "So Amelie, what are you planning after this... uh, not looking for specifics if it's private, just in general."
  9. Aquila shrugs and returns the flail. "Alright right then. I assume that I can just cut the man out?" Aquila turns to the apparently more scary woman he's adressing. He might miffed about that if he wasn't personally terrified of a woman he could theoretically break in two himself.
  10. With quick warning to Amelie that she might want clear the splash zone, Aquila draws his flail and approaches the webbed up trooper. "Okay, I'm gonna be quick here. I don't like beating up people that can fight back. Makes me feel bad deep in my soul. And you're kind of stuck here. So here's the deal; you tell me what you know about this place, I let you go home, raise a family or some shit. Hell, if you want to join up with us I'll take you under my wing. Great stuff we're trying to do, preparing worlds for universe ending threats apparently. Good cause and at the very least you're gonna be rich when you're done... way off track, sorry. Point is, you answer I let you go, maybe we talk about getting you a spot on the team. You refuse I break your hand, then your arm and so on."
  11. Aquila shakes his head at the brief hostility. He clears his throat before responding in French once again, seeming to not realize that it may be rude to those that don't share that capability. "In that case, I assume you have gotten what you came here for... Assuming none of my other companions are interested in... stabbing you, you'll be on your way?"
  12. Aquila bows slightly before responding in french. "Personally, I was here to see if there was any information of use to gather from these... that one." Aquila points to the remaining talon soldier. "My companions and I are securing this so that the pigman has no mana and starves to death... or at least is easier to kill. Anyways, this thingy had the mana so we're securing it."
  13. Arminius sits up to look out the window. After a moment to get his bearings he lies down in the seat again with a frown. "Guys, I think they can handle it just fine. They're obviously some flavour of hero... at least lets take a moment to see if they need help. Less likely that they're going to turn on us after helping if they're beat up." Arminius doesn't bother mentioning that they could be bad guys. It should be obvious with the red and black wristbands and giant weapons.
  14. Arminius snaps his fingers prompting the minion to hand over a couple of blueprints. "Yep, they keep their powers. Hell, sometimes I think they gain powers. Like that wyvern, have you noticed that things don't feel quite as hot when she's out? That's an aura of fire resistance. Anyways, these are what Squealer has made, looks like they're blueprints. And she's definitely still good at making things, so possibly?." Piglet chimes in. "Yeah, I'm still connected to the shard."
  15. Arminius peeks over the seat he was laying down in at the mention of Squealer. He was silent for a couple moments before shrugging. "Hey Proddy, speaking of resisting psionics could you help train me to resist mind reading? It wasn't a problem before but now it seems like a useful skill."
  16. Arminius watches the procedings with the odd lizard in silence. There really wasn't much for him to add to it after all.
  17. "Drop your weapons and surrender! Or don't and I'll have your head on a pike!" Aquila delivers his ultimatum to the Skirmisher. If they don't cooperate, mark them and then beat the shit out of them. If they do start heading for derilect.
  18. Arminius looks like he's about to make a sarcastic remark before pausing. "Gods, how many are running around that you need to specify that it's ANOTHER one."
  19. Arminius looks amused. "Frigus, my past three days has been hurting people in the name of helping other people."
  20. Arminius nods, thinking as he lounges in his seat. He briefly considered keeping some details to himself but decided that there wasn't much harm in telling the truth. "Yeah, that is pretty different from my world all things considered... Main difference being that Men and women, and by extension monsters, have different souls. Not in like, a way that means they're different in mentality of course. If that were the case Zinpangu would be completely different. The main difference is that a man's soul produces mana while a woman's soul is kind of like a sponge and just accepts it. That's kind of how kids are made, minus the fun part... Uh, you did get the whole "how babies are made" talk right? I know paladin types are all uptight about it... I'm getting off topic though." Getting more into the conversation, Arminius sits up. "Anyways, monsters, and this is a heads up for if we ever go to my world, have a Demonic version of mana that human souls accept. It's basically made through conversion of mana and I don't really understand it because it's magic. Anyways, if a human, or a monster from a family that isn't strictly "monstrous" like Elves or Angels, take in enough of the demonic stuff they undergo a process called monstorization. The name should tip you off but basically it brings you closer to being a demon, in men that manifests in becoming an incubus or alp and in most human women it manifests as becoming a lesser succubus... There are certain factors that can change what they become, mainly similarities with other monsters, but basically it doesn't change much beyond being more than human." Arminius pauses, considering that he may have gotten off track in his explanation there. With a shrug he decides to summarize. "Anyways yeah, everyone has some soul remnants they can lose without getting affected and I just take that to make minions so it's not as bad as people think."
  21. Seeing as everyone was busy with weird shit Arminius turns around to talk to Frigus. "So what's up with you getting upset about soul stuff? I mean, if it's as important as you make it sound you should be able to tell that what I do doesn't actually cause any harm." He leaves out the fact that he does kind of want to figure out how to make it permanent. It's simply a matter of practically, can't resist as well without essence.
  22. Arminius, for those paying attention, has taken a scale from the Wyvern and is looking at it really hard. So hard in fact that his runes are glowing. After some time of this it disappears, being replaced with a mote of red light. Arminius frowns at it and, with a sigh, flicks his wrist causing it to disappear as his runes stop glowing.
  23. Arminius shrugs at that. "Technically, I'm not even doing it. Just runes that take powerful bits and makes them back into living beings. Like uh... using manure! You aren't hurting anything when you do it, you're just taking naturally ejected parts and putting them back to use. Although I've been trying to get it to where I can take parts directly. Not too much though, gods know how awkward it would be to face monsterization without even being married. But I'm getting off topic, I really can't control when there's a lot of essence in the air."
  24. Arminius snaps his fingers, causing Piglet to disappear and be replaced by a slightly confused looking Sindragosa. "Not much, went to hell. Fought demons and abominations, Lucille... did something I can't even figure out. Oh, and meet my new friend Sindragosa." The wyvern looks at Arminius for a moment before turning back to Frigus and waving.
