  1. that's perfect, even better than i hoped.
  2. Title says it all, i want to start my ice monorun and i've waited over a week for someone in the other thread to hack me one. obviously dead. so i'm looking for some kind soul to breed me a sneasel. prefaribly with a not-trash nature and IVs (dont "Have" to be perfect just not like, modest 0atk/0speed or some bs) low level as well since i can start the game with it. can trade starter or catch some random stuff around grand hall. Extra Note: i'll need an ice stone later. its optional but i'd really appreciate it IGN: MachoPony thank you very much in advance
  3. Man, i wish i knew how to edit pokemon. all this waiting to start my mono run is killing me with suspense. who's going to be easy? who's going to be hard? what strategy will i have to employ for guys like samson, hardy and titania? and so forth.

I see I see, patience is key 😛 I'm sure someone will get to your save soon enough

  4. we already faced a ground leader (terra) the final unused type is Dragon. because of this i would highly reccomend a strong ice pokemon. A-Ninetales with aurora veil as suggested is nice but i'm also going to throw Weavile into the ring. Choice band makes it hit stupid hard, it can learn hone claws if you need it to try and sweep without immediate power. or a life orb for a smaller boost but variety access. Icicle crash/Knock Off/Ice Shard is really all it needs. the 4th move is entirely up to you. right now i have brick break on mine because of
  5. guess i'm the only infernape fan then. better speed out of the box than blaziken. great powerful moveset, balanced attacking stats making it great mixed or purely towards one side. learns fantastic coverage with elemental punches, grass knot, acrobatics etc. that thing carried me through my 2nd playthrough of reborn (i played a few years ago when E15 was the newest thing, then restarted in e17 because of the promising tweaks and additions. wasnt dissapointed) now granted the mega evolution and moves like heat wave make charizard a great contender, and if it can survive a turn with speed boost blaziken is a monster in its own right. but don't forget who was the king of DP.
  6. unless volt switch was added in e18, it should've been there since 17 as the desert is before Titania's gym

    Spare Metal coat

in future this is your best friend The earliest is the Tanzan depths. though later it can be found on some wild pokemon like magnemite (frisk/compoundeyes + thief)
  8. swinub can be caught in the icy mountain cave below shade's gym. piloswine can be caught later outside of Calcenon city in the icy routes. swinub does NOT learn ancientpower on evolution. it learns fury attack. however ancientpower is a Lv1 move for piloswine. so the move relearner in Onyx or Agate Circus can teach piloswine ancientpower and evolve it
  9. i imagine rock climb is filler for exploration/E18 content. i personally replace TM moves with field moves myself but change them back for important battles (swapped rock climb and leech life on A-sandslash for example) that being said you have a LOT of field moves throughout your pokemon. Quagsire does not need dive or rock smash and scolipede does not need strength, and as mention empoleon does not need rock climb. otherwise my only problem would be that you really dont have anything overly fast. Scolipede and flygon can be with speed boost/dragon dance. but it can be helpful to have someone that can hit hard out of the gate and be wicked fast too. My reccomendation is Weavile for a multitude of reasons. 1. the last gym is dragon, it has to be. 2. its very easy to give it a solid set of knock off/ice shard/icicle crash/filler and 3. with a choice band it becomes hellaciously powerful. (if you cant get icicle crash, ice punch works fine)
  10. so i'm going to start my Icemono. not sure as to what pokemon would be fair and balanced to the earlygame to hack in though.  i'm not going to go straight for alolapix or spheal for example

    any ideas?

    1. Destrakon

      Destrakon

Sneaseal (Later Weavile), A-Sandshrew (Later Sandslash), and Glaceon are my personal opinion.

i can get a-shrew fairly early though and glaceon isnt as good as people think. sneasel could work though

  11. to be fair he's a challenge to the unprepared with some blindingly fast pokemon and rock slides everywhere. but a single Lucario or Metagross is gg to his team.
  12. couldnt you just grab a few heart scales and change the nature to like, lonely or something in 7th street for the guy?
  13. How crazy would i be after my current playthrough of reborn to try a monotype run?

different types can focus on strategies that otherwise wouldnt work on regular teams which is why i thought of it. ice for example can abuse hail and blizzard as well as aurora veil and some nice abilities like snow cloak and slush rush. ground rock or steel could abuse sandstorm, fire has sun, water has rain. types like electric or flying can potentially be great in doubles by using wide moves like bulldoze or discharge that dont affect their partners at all. there's tons of options.

      BIGJRA

Yeah, do it then. Reborn is a near perfect game imo for trying out a Monotype as you're even more than before required to try out options you hadn't used before and synergize them. Field interactions also make it extra fun.

Once I actually finish a normal run of Reborn I soo want to do a steel mono, if only because it's my favorite type. I'd highly recommend a mono!

  14. i didnt know luck incense was in the game yet good idea.
  15. is there a faster way to make money than using a pickup squad? my army of diggersby are frequently getting me like 300 a time from choc ice cream if i'm lucky. occasionally ethers and very VERY rarely blue moon ice cream. the problem is A. ev reset discs cost 10k a time and B.grand hall is inconsistent and boring after awhile (also despite an 85 level cap at the point i'm at. they frequently hit the high 80s)
  16. Abra can teleport the pokemon around infinitely and there's always an open cage so you'll never be "Stuck". if you follow a walkthrough point per point it should work. a yt guide could help too. the idea is essentially you use jigglypuff to put the guard to sleep and use the pokemon to heat, cool, and then shatter the bars to escape.
  17. and i the same to this solosis. so many trainers rely on being stupid fast and outspeeding all your pokemon. well one move turns that on its head.
  18. keeps glitching out EDIT: done, thank you
  19. not a problem. IGN:MachoPony
  20. because i am not doing that puzzle in a million years. ever. can trade breedject porygons, random hippopotas and crabrawlers or perfect SpA/Spe abra
  21. first time doing Beldum event, first encounter.

    Shiny

    Good IVs

    i wasnt even trying!

Dude congratz. When I get to beldum in my run, I'm almost certainly going to reset until I get a shiny.

    2. Q-Jei

      Q-Jei

I remember having experienced the same thing with Spiritomb in my first run. It was sheer luck, no more, no less.

  22. *points to sig* though i am replaying the game with my better knowledge and i'm up to Ametirine now with a team currently of Greninja, Rhyperior, Musharna, Hippowdon, Mamoswine and Crabominable. focusing on trick room for now, and probably the forseeable future (which means rip greninja soon)
