  1. That combination does look pretty softlocked yeah but can't you leave the room and go back in and it will reset? (i dont quite remember myself)
  2. Well, that took a long time. But after nearly 6 years, and over 40,000 Encounters in the making-- THE FIRST EVER POKEMON REBORN SHINY LIVING DEX HAS BEEN COMPLETED!!! WOO!!!! Never traded, never cheated, never used Glitter Balls on Legendarys/Mythicals. This has been quite the journey, I took many breaks throughout those almost 6 years as you may imagine. However I have just found the motivation to power through the rest of it back when I returned to Reborn in the beginning of May. (Thanks Incubator) I hope there were some of you who at some point or another found keeping up with this post enjoyable! As you can see below there is the proof that this challenge has been completed, I likely won't be playing Reborn for a long time LMAO, peace! <3

What a crazy haul this week. Been making a hard push as you may be able to tell on this whole almost 6-year Living Dex grind. E19 has been a complete blast and I've been playing nonstop. I would also like to add a little something extra to this weekly update: I was doing some Incubator Shiny grinding earlier today and I was trying to get 2 Shiny Krabby's since I need a Krabby AND a Kingler for my Shiny Living Dex, then all of a sudden I spam receive 5 eggs to fill my party alongside my trusty Pay Day money-farming Persian and then the unspeakable happened. 4/5 CONSECUTIVE EGGS SHINY
  5. Do you perhaps have two separate Reborn Folders? In that case if you opened the update.exe on one Reborn Folder then open the Game.exe from the other Folder that could potentially explain it? Not an expert on this by any means that's just the only thing I could think of.

  9. Hey. I apologize for not being super familiar with how this process usually goes down. Does the latest download of Reborn already have these changes in effect, or will this come in e19? About to start a new game again and if I can play with these changes I'll go redownload right now.

  11. Yeah that fight sure is difficult-- with all areason said above try to synergize with your partner Pokemon as much as possible, I've learned that really helps, for Gyarados which I know is dangerous you may want to save ampharos for a later time in the battle so you can at least try and static it.
  12. Shinys Obtained This Week: (12/30/19 - 1/6/20) Cherubi (12/30/19)2020Nidoran M (1/1/20)Nidoking (1/2/20)Fearow (1/3/20)Buizel, Barboach (1/4/20)Yamask (1/5/20)A-Diglett, Meowth (1/6/20) Total for this week: 9
  13. Cool, you could also continuously try until you freeze/crit with the Ice Beam but that may be pretty tedious.. haha
  14. If I were you, you could try getting off a Mist with Ludicolo to start Misty Terrain and weaken Garchomp's dragon moves so Lapras can live one, also use growlithe/arcanine for intimidate switching, after all of that lapras should come close to OHKOing it

  16. To me a Randomizer sounds like a really fun way to mix it up and it's what I would do if I were you personally. :]
  17. Hi there-- you actually don't unlock it from the tracks, you need to Rock Smash into a loose wall nearby the door and then you can make it past the door. :]
  18. I would personally use the 4th or 5th one, definitely the 5th one if you are going to change the Nature to Timid/Modest.
  19. BCrule

    Daycare?

    What Lucky said. ^^
  20. I voted on Ghost because it's a really cool type and there are some cool mons you can use even early on, you could start with Rowlett as it'll be Ghost, you can also get Golett towards the 3rd gym IIRC as well as shuppet, pumpkaboo, and misdreavus much later if you'd want to wait, beware during this run if you do it though, Shade will be hella tough!
  21. Shinys Obtained This Week: (1/6/2019 - 1/12/2019) Bidoof, Rattata (1/11/2019) Pidgey, Rattata, Patrat, Pidgey, Rattata, Patrat (1/12/2019) Patrat, Bidoof, Patrat, Rattata, Rattata, Pidgey (1/13/2019) Total for this week: 13
  22. Well if you mean a set for utility purposes Spore, Stealth Rock, Sticky Web, Toxic, Nuzzle, Taunt, and Magic Coat are some good options. If you're trying to run an offensive Smeargle then your options are hardly limited at all, make sure you you try and get a good +speed nature on it to get off your statuses/hazards up on mons that have a lackluster speed stat. Other than my opinion you may wanna check out the Smogon recommended sets as they probably know what's best to run most of the time. https://www.smogon.com/dex/sm/pokemon/smeargle/
  23. Yeah dude Hustle is one of those abilities that even makes Delibird seem way powerful, it's cool to see people do challenge runs like this, and this one's real tough too it seems, good idea also getting resourceful with your items such as Metronome, and adjusting your move sets to fit your needs in tough battles, good luck!
  24. Hi there. I personally like to have a well put together team with nice synergy and what not, for Reborn specifically I find the semi-powerful bulky pokemon like Tangrowth for example are very good, Tangrowth having high Special Attack + high Defense makes it great, I also as a past player of Reborn like to foresee the pokemon I'll be facing if I'm on a second run for example then I would think I will run into a lot of Poison and Dark types early on, so get pokemon that are good/tolerable to those types. As far as overall tea building goes I like Regenerator Cores, super-offensive pokemon are always fun, but they can't be too frail. Water-Fire-Grass or Fairy/Dragon/Steel type cores for your team are very nice. Having a good balance of bulky/tanky pokemon + offensive pokemon is always a great way to team build, but if we're talking purely about Reborn, then I personally dig Bulky semi-powerful pokemon.
